Darrel Clarke Glazing Services

Darrel was very quick to come over and quote for a cracked window. He got this manufactured very quickly too and replaced it without any problems. He was on time, reliable and his quote was very fair. He’s very pleasant and I would recommend his services. We will definitely use him again. Thanks.

I contacted Darrel after reading glowing Google reviews about his work. We needed to have a Velux type window replaced as the old one was all misted up and we could not see through it. Darrel was punctual, straight to the point, ordered a toughened glass window the same day he saw us and installed it 6 days later on a dry day. He tidied everything up afterwards. We are extremely happy with the new window. Darrel is highly professional and knows his stuff. The price was very reasonable too considering 2 other bigger local window companies did not want to do this job. I would definitely use Darrell's services again and would recommend him.

Great job done on time.

We called Darrel in need as our upstairs largest window had blown open due to really high winds and the hinge had broke so were unable to close the window at all. Darrel came out as soon as possible during a wind storm and rain, replaced the hinges and fitted a new handle and lock as ours was knackered. Fantastic bloke, really polite, reasonably priced and up front about cost, thank you for helping us in need Darrel your service was greatly appreciated! Say sorry to your wife from us! Cheers mate!

Great service at a great price will be using Darrell again.👍🏻

Needed a window temporarily removing to accommodate getting a sofa into the house. A stressful prospect for me but easily dealt with by Darrel. Nothing but praise for Darrel - excellent comms, reasonably priced, super efficient. Would not hesitate to recommend. Cheers!

I needed a curved conservatory window replacing , I contacted Darrel who came the same day to have a look and give me a quote. He fitted it for the next day. Really good service, prices are reasonable and even gave me some advice on how i can save money in the future with other jobs around the house. Good honest chap. Thank you

Would definitely recommend Darrel, especially if you’re in a bit of an emergency! Our hinges bent after closing the window from the outside, and we couldn’t close it afterwards. He was with us, on a Saturday evening, within an hour to replace them. Saved us from having an unsecured home overnight, as the window was stuck wide open on our ground floor. Thanks for the help Darrel, you’re a life saver.

Fantastic quick and good price

Found Darrel via Google reviews. He was fantastic and very accommodating. Fitted new glass into some old misted units and replaced a small cracked pane at a very reasonable cost. Thanks very much :-)

Excellent service from Darrell - he is thorough, easy to work with and committed to resolving issues. Highly recommended!

Perfect experience with Darrel - had a ground floor window spontaneously shatter at 4am & rang Darrel at 9. Came within the hour, upfront about pricing & the window was replaced by 4pm for a really reasonable price. Don’t use one of the sites that come up first on Google claiming to be local (they’re not), use the map & find someone genuinely local like Darrel - you’ll save a fortune.

Great job - came out immediately after a call to replace a window and had the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Came to do a small job replacing a pane in a door. Did a great job. Quick, professional, careful and friendly. Very reasonable price (half of some of the other quotes I had). Definitely recomended.

Really nice guy who does a really good job at very good price. Thank you.

Darrel fitted a new glazing for our window. It was a very difficult window to work with but he did it professionally and efficiently. I highly recommend Darrel. He is very polite and very pleasant to work with and takes pride in his work. Thank you again Darrel.

Just came round to fit a window with damaged hinges. Quick, professional and more than reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

A bird flew into my window at 8:30 this morning and by 3pm Darrel had replaced the glass and the window is better than ever! He was extremely professional, did a really tidy job and was great value. Can’t recommend him highly enough!

Amazing work, very polite, definitely recommend xx

I rang Darrel and he came out same day on his way home from a job gave us a competitive price kept us informed fitted glass when ready clean and tidy work would recommend

Darrel came and did emergency repairs to two stone mullion windows. It was a fiddly job in horrible weather but he did it promptly and efficiently, with no mess or fuss. I'd highly recommend him if you need a friendly, local window repair service.

Amazing and professional company who does great work. Repaired a window for me. Scheduled me in very quickly and is a great friendly professional. Would definitely recommend using them.

Very helpful and reacted quickly to help with boarding up one of our shops. Thanks again Darrel

Can't fault him. Came to give a quote promptly, then completed the job shortly after. Price was competitive and work area was left clean!

Verry pleased with the job Darrell did .... good price and even cleaned up after himself, i will recomend him to anyone who needs a glazier. J Wait

The hinges had broken on one of my windows in my ex-council property. Spoke to Darrell about the job on the phone and he came next day to sort it. He spent 2 hours trying to fit new hinges, the window is wooden framed and very heavy, the hinges that were fitted were very old and obsolete. Because he couldn't resolve it, he only charged me £30 for his 2 hours work, but advised me to contact the company that made the original hinges and let him know if they could provide comparable ones. I ordered new ones and when they arrived Darrell came back to finish the job. 30 minutes later the hinges were fitted and the window was working. I offered to pay him an extra £100 for finishing the job, but he refused and only took £70. Darrell is a lovely, knowledgeable man who takes pride in his work. I would recommend him to anyone, rather than using these glitzy companies who won't give you the time of day.

Darrel has been today and repaired two very elderly window frames, one of which had damaged hinges so that if we got it open we couldn't close it again, and the other had damage inside the locking mechanism so that we couldn't close it at all and had been keeping it shut by tying the handle to the furniture when it was windy! Both windows needed the glass removing to perform the repair, but Darrel had both of them taken out, repaired and put back in within a couple of hours. They are now fully operational and hopefully will be fit to keep the house watertight until I can afford to replace them in a few years' time.

Friendly professional service and very efficient, very pleased with his work.

Excellent service from start to finish. We couldn't open our door & Darrel came around the day I called & saw what the issue was, he changed the lock and it was sorted in no time. The price we paid was extremely reasonable too. I'd just like to say a massive thankyou, & we would most definately recommend.

Repaired faulty window mechanism Came on time, friendly service and a good price. Would definitely recommend

My friend was broken into over the season and Darrel came and fixed the window lock and ordered the glass as a priority ( she is 90). As soon as the glass place was open again he got glass and fitted it. He kept me updated all the way was super priced and very experienced ,no fuss no mess and very nice man. I would highly recommend, never use the big names they over charge and delegate out to men like Darrel who get next to nothing . Keep the work in Sheffield for Sheffield businesses.❤️🇯🇲

Super quick call out, professional job, would recommend.

Had to get my in laws door and frame off to get a new suite in. Was given Darrel' s number and within the hour he was with us. Quoted a price to take out and refit and got on with the job superbly. Very pleasant hard working and would reccomend him and will use him again when req.

Does a good job and very reasonable

Darrel replaced 4 sealed units for us, two of which were curved (former barn door). From estimate to fitting was just over a week and workmanship is excellent. He was both prompt and efficient and a pleasure to work with. We would definately recommend him and use him again.

Darrel Clarke recently replaced 12 windows in my property, including 3 velux , all of which were either misted up it cracked. Some had a Georgian style bar in them, and most were in wooden frames. Darrel tackled them all with calm professionalism in a timescale that suited me and a price I couldn't find elsewhere. I highly recommend him, and will certainly use him again.

Darrel has done work for me before on several occasions. On this occasion a back foot mechanism had jammed and I was due to be working out of town. Darrel arrived at short notice and sorted the problem without any hassle. Highly recommended. An excellent tradesman.

Darrel is a life saver. Had some problems with the glass in our front door and Darrel came around. Cut the new pane of glass and fitted within 10 minutes plus beading. Fast, efficient and a good conversation too. Definitely a number to keep saved.

Professional and reliable windows removal - used twice. Thoroughly recommend.

Can't say enough good things about this gent. Darrel fitted five units for me 2 weeks ago, he was prompt, tidy and very reasonable. When he left I found that I could'nt operate my kitchen blind properly (my fault), he was back within the hour to sort it out. Would recommend Darrel to anyone, a true gentleman, not many like him around these days.
