Needed a simple job done replacing a handle on one of my windows, rang Wessex glass who said they had a job near my address in the next couple of days and they’d attend straight afterwards to have a look. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Wessex Glass. Mid 2021 we had all our windows and front door replaced by them. They were the cheapest quote we got. After fitting our new front door, the fitter commented the frame (the new one they fitted) wasn't quite square - I wish I'd pushed on getting this sorted at the time, but I didn't, sadly. 2 months later, the door was struggling to close as the door is, of course, wonky within the frame. No amount of adjusting will fix this issue, unless the frame itself is refitted, as you can see in the pictures. Mid-reno pictures with the coir doormat are when first fitted, the recent photo with green doormat is now. Someone came out to adjust, however, it was still not straight (though did close a little better, so I left it there). Fast forward 4 years, and they were replacing a window next door - after my recommendation (but only for windows, NOT doors, obviously) - and I asked the fitter if he had a spare 10 mins at the end if he could pop by to look at our door, since it was becoming hard to close again. He did not, and said someone would be in touch.... again, they did not. A couple of months later I contacted them via email to ask again, and they didn't respond. I called up a few weeks later and finally got a response - £72 to adjust. I queried this, given the issue was never fixed in the first place (for which there is photographic proof), they never responded. I kept chasing and eventually got through on the phone again 2 months later, to be told no-one would be coming to do it for free, I had to pay the adjustment fee, as it had been too long. They questioned why it took me so long to contact them about it, and then said they'd look into it and call me back the next day. Again, they did not! To clarify, I am not expecting this for free, I know it's been a while and I should've sorted it earlier, BUT, the frame is completely wonky and this door will never fit no matter how many adjustments are made. I only need it adjusted upwards by 2mm to stop it catching at the bottom whilst I try to sell my house. I live 5 mins away from their offices, and the man I spoke to on the phone admitted it would be a 10 min job, it could've easily been done on their way back from another job. Again, would've paid, but £72 is extortionate to fix their own poor workmanship. This is not the "norm" as they made out on the phone. Our back door (fitted by a different company also in 2021) had an issue with the latch. I contacted them with a video of the issue, they came out next day and sorted within 5 mins, for free. They actually had a look at the composite door whilst they were here but didn't have the tools they needed with them (and frankly, it's not their problem - they didn't fit it!). Wessex Glass do not take pride in their work or aftercare, and are quite rude to be honest. If I have to pay to get this fixed, I will certainly not be paying them to do it.

Excellent experience from start to finish!

Another company had tried to re-align our uPVC kitchen door and window with limited and temporary effect, so I was not expecting Wessex Glass to advise re-alignment over a new door/ window and then manage to do such a great job. Both are now as good as new! And great/ prompt/ personal communication from the office/sales team too. Thank you!

An excellent service. The old glass was cleanly removed from our balcony door and replaced with glass with cat flap. The guys who fitted it were pleasant, polite and professional. Whole job took about 20 minutes-we're delighted and so is the cat!

Stop googling. This is the company that you want. Glazing is one of those businesses in which some operators charge what they think they can get away with. Not this lot. They absolutely know what they are doing, and charge fairly for it. I've been impressed from start to finish: a clear quote based on some photos, turning up to do the job on the promised day (admittedly a couple of hours early, but so what?), work done quickly and carefully (taking particular care given that my sash window panes are held in with wooden beads which are fiddly rather than simply with putty), and everything left clean and tidy. All praise to Dan who did the work. I'd highly recommend.

Really pleased with the work and conduct of Wessex. I booked them to install a couple of new windows - from start to finish they were easy to deal with, no nonsense and the end result are some neat and tidy new windows. In terms of affordability, I shopped around for quotes from other National and local operators and Wessex was one of the most reasonable. Would happily recommend to anyone else in the area.

We were really happy with the service from start to finish. They did a great job outlining our options when replacing our old timber windows, with a brochure showing all the styles and colours we could choose from, and once we’d decided they were ordered, delivered and fitted super quickly. They look great and the guys were very professional from start to finish.

They replaced a couple of old UPVC windows in our house with new double glazed ones and it went really smoothly. They were easy to deal with, friendly and helpful, and the installations went very smoothly. Couldn't ask for more really.

Fantastic, efficient service. We had a bedroom window that was stuck open because the hinges broke suddenly. I called Wessex Glass at about 11.30am and the window was fixed by 2pm. The guys who fixed it were really friendly and polite, and had the job done in a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again.

We had used Wessex before for a window installation that we were very happy with and so we used them again to fit a new window, French door and front door. The team arrived early and worked hard to fit the window and doors in one day and the work was completed to a very high standard. The chaps were pleasant, focussed and a pleasure to have around. During booking the response rate was excellent and everything was organised quickly and smoothly with regular communication from Frankie. I would recommend Wessex to anyone looking for a new installation or repair.

Wessex Glass replaced some double glazed units for me. They came to measure and ordered in the correct sizes. Installation took place a few weeks later. The whole process went smoothly and I'm really happy with the work.

We had a large double glazed patio door craze during the really hot spell this summer. Wessex Glass came about 15 miles to measure up. Took a little while to get the unit made up, but that wasn’t a problem as only the inside had broken. When fitted, the fitter insisted on sweeping up the little bit of mess that he had made, even though I was happy to do it myself. The price was good - the lowest of the three quotes I got - and I found everybody I dealt with to be friendly and professional. Happy to recommend.

I contacted two local suppliers and Wessex were the best value by a country mile. Having spoken to Ben & Sally, I got booked in really quickly and had shiny new units that have brightened up the place no end. If I uploaded a photo, you wouldn't be able to see much because they're so clean for a change! Incredibly impressed with the end to end service and would recommend to anyone.

I had a broken old timber frame window that needed fixing that was in hard reach spot. Wessex glass were really helpful in providing the best possible options to replace it at a good price. I had Frankie come over, he was a very friendly, professional, polite and nice guy. He did a really clean, amazing and high quality job. I am very happy with how they took care of the job and will highly recommend them.

I'm so happy with the service I received from Wessex Glass! My partner broke a window and I was so stressed as the weather is supposed to be horrendous this weekend, but Martin from Wessex was able to come out and fix it the next day and the work was to such a high standard that other than needing a lick of paint when the seal's dry, you honestly can't tell the difference at all. Would definitely come back to them, though hopefully we don't break any more windows!

Needed a window replaced. I called Wessex Water as they have 5 stars on google which looked impressive. Guess what! I called up and they 1. Answered the phone when I rang (not all business’s do this). 2. Gave me a quote over the phone (very reasonable) 3. Gave me a date and time for the repair which they delivered on. While this may sound like a normal repair job, I find that many businesses fail to deliver on at least one of the above points. Hence why Wessex Water get 5 stars from me. Well done and keep up the good work.

Ill definitely use them again and id recommend them to anybody for a fair price, extremely fast service and problem solving for if you have a particularly tricky job. 10/10

Wessex Glass have shown themselves to be absolute professionals, right from the moment I called to obtain a quote through to when settling up the invoice. I required two new windows and a number of panes fitting, on of which needed to house a dog flap in a French door. My requirements were listened to and noted, I provided a few photographs sent over via email and then Frankie came over to measure and price up the job. I was then given an accurate quotation, duly paid the 50% deposit and everything was ordered. A little while later I was given an install date, the night before install I received a confirmation phone call and the following day the gentlemen arrived at the time given in the confirmation call. The set to work and had the job done neatly and with minimal disturbance to us, they were also very diligent in sweeping up any mess made during the install. I really cannot recommend this company enough, the double glazing trade has a negative stigma attached but this company completely blows that away, there are no hidden extras, no pushiness, just great expertise and professionalism shown by every team member.

My order from Wessex Glass wasn't the sort of thing a company like this would do on an ordinary day. I needed two small and very specifically sized pieces of glass for some computer-based artwork. I first contacted the company almost a year ago and was given a very very reasonable quote, but had to put my project on pause for a while, and ended up leaving the guys at Wessex Glass out of the loop. When I got back to the team about two weeks ago, they still remembered my project and responded right away to my email, giving me a fresh quote and helping me through the process of choosing the perfect glass for my project. They even called me up to confirm all of my measurements before finalising everything. They told me that the glass would take around 10 days to prepare, but my order was ready in less than 7, and I was able to collect it right away. I was already very happy with the service I'd received, but it all got a lot better once I actually picked up the glass. As far as I can tell, the size is perfect down to 0.1mm (I don't have a tool to measure more precisely), and this is great to see given the difficulties which come with cutting tempered glass. Along with being perfectly sized, the glass came with polished and bevelled edges - this is something which is rarely included, often costs a small fortune as an add on option from other companies, and was something I thought I'd be stuck doing myself. That brings me onto the price. If I ignore the fact that the edges were finished for me, Wessex Glass' price is still around 13% lower than my next cheapest option - and around 20% if the edges are factored in. This leads me to believe that you will struggle to find a better deal anywhere else. All in all, Wessex Glass made the experience of ordering a weird one-off product as easy as it could possibly be, without charging the high price which usually comes along with such a service. I'd happily recommend them to anyone, and am looking forward to working with Frankie, Ben, and Lorraine again in the future. Thanks guys - if I could give you more stars, I definitely would!

I have been using Wessex Glass for the last few years for a portfolio of properties I manage. I find the whole team very friendly and very accomplished at what they do. No job is to small and they are very reasonably priced.

These guys are fantastic.. a tradesman accidentally broke a window in my flat and left me in a real fix. Wessex glass came round within 30 mins, made the flat safe and a few days later replaced the double glazed unit speedily and at a reasonable price. Their workmen are expert and friendly, Would recommend every time. Will be using them for other work.

Ben, Dan and Frankie from Wessex Glass were my knights in shining armour recently. Prior to their intervention, I foolishly went to another company with a cheaper quote to fix some window hinges. This other company couldn't do it basically and left me with a window that they told me not to open. I explained the situation to Ben and within a few days Frankie and Dan were around and were able to fix the problem (and others caused by this other company). A lesson learnt. Only small issue was the repair man was slightly outside the scheduled arrival time on the day, but when I contacted the office they knew who I was straight away and were very apologetic. Fabulous service from my main man Ben! Not only was he unbelievably quick at replying to my query for a quote, he was able to price the job within 2 minutes of my original call to the company. He was around just the next day to replace my damaged windows, working with such skill and speed that you may imagine it to not be compatible with a good job! But let me tell you ladies and gentleman, his work was perfection! We've used Wessex Glass most recently to buy a new front door after a burglary. We've also bought replacement glass for double glazed windows and doors from them previously. Ben, Sally and all those who we have dealt with have been so helpful and friendly. The guys who have measured and fitted the glass and the door have been brilliant and we have always received an excellent service. I recently used Wessex glass to replace a broken piece of Georgian wired glass in my front door, the whole team were fantastic, punctual and professional and not only did they do a superb job in super quick time but even sweeped up all mess (a lot of people don't do this!!) and took all waste materials away.
