Exceptional service. Jess has been off the scale helpful in helping us get flooring identified, booked and installed on a ridiculously tight timescale. It felt like we've had a project manager getting everything lined up for the timelines we needed (and the multiple different types of flooring we required), and she kept us informed throughout, liaising and lining up the various trades people and deliveries. She was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when we were deciding our carpets and flooring and has provided us with the best service we've had anywhere for a long long time. Thank you!

We have bought carpets from Downs over several years and have always been very satisfied with the quality and competetive price of the products and the speed of delivery and fitting. Staff are friendly and helpful and samples books are readily available to take home. I borrowed several for a recent purchase and returned them after a few of days. The fitters were very efficient and left everything neat and tidy.

I went to the lovely bright showroom in Winchester looking for a new striped stair carpet where Caroline helped me choose the most suitable carpet. It was a pleasure being served by such a helpful and knowledgeable lady. The fitting was done extremley well - very important with a striped carpet! I am delighted with my new carpet and I would happily recommend them
Not a good carpet fitting service. Many items left unfinished, leaving us searching for multiple handymen to "make good" the mess they made. Use CarpetRight instead, who offer a true comprehensive carpet fitting service with NO small print. UPDATE: Owner claims we were informed that door rehanging was required before installation. This is a lie - we were not informed of this or given the opportunity to make prior arrangements, despite two lengthy consultations in store and a home visit. We were not given an information leaflet either. The only place it may have been covered is in the agreement small print (which no one ever reads) The first we knew about it was when the job was complete. If we had known we would have gone elsewhere. Awful service. UPDATE 2: Found out this evening the doors were dumped in the wrong rooms, leaving us guessing which door goes where. Please everyone go to CarpetRight or other reputable company and spare yourselves this misery.
Poor experience with this company. The fitters removed all our interior doors to fit carpets and did not re-hang them. They left the doors laying on the floor in the rooms, preventing us moving back into the rooms and scrabbling around on Google for a handyman to re-hang them. They claimed it was because they are "Not insured" to trim doors. This was AFTER this installation - at no point before were we prepared for any problems with the doors, despite an on-site survey/measure up and two lengthy consultations in the store where we were walked through (supposedly) every aspect of the installation. We paid a great sum of money for a complete turnkey installation - this is just not good enough. To make matters worse, the Manager didn't even show us the respect of apologising to us in person. In the end we were referred to the "small print" on the agreement we signed and told to go away. Disgraceful. Please avoid this unprofessional company and go to Carpetright instead, who *do* offer a complete service, including door re-trimming.
Have always been pleased with the service both instore and by the carpet fitters making this company my first port of call when choosing floor covering.

"Excellent company who go out of their way to put things right" We'd used CMS Downs (Winchester) several times in the past, but you really find out if a company is any good when things go wrong. Unfortunately, we had this experience on our latest carpets ... and CMS Downs have been absolutely great at putting things right for us! On this occasion, we had three carpets fitted, all of which had manufacturing issues that only became apparent once fitted. Not a great situation for either us or CMS Downs. However, from the lovely front desk staff (Allison and Caroline), Ian the estimator who initially assessed the problem, Gary the area manager who did the second assessment and gave final approval, to Chris and Phil the fitters who had to come and fit everything again, we've had a really positive outcome from a difficult situation. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating, carefully checking over the replacements, and inviting us to come into the showroom to have a detailed look before the refitting. The replacement carpets are lovely - completely up to the standard we've come to expect from CMS Downs. I was even impressed at the company's environmental approach as they agreed to let us 'freecycle' the original carpets they'd fitted rather than have them go to landfill. We will definitely be using CMS Downs for all our future flooring needs. Really can't fault their service - well done, everyone!

Our second time to go to CMS Downs to have carpet fitted in our home as we were delighted with the product and service provided first time around. In store, Caroline gave excellent service taking account of our wishes and guiding us through a range of carpet and underlay choices, carefully explaining the benefits of each one. Having made our choice, she arranged dates for fitting around my forthcoming heart operation. On the day of fitting, we were pleased to welcome two fitters into our home (one of whom had fitted our previous carpet!) They worked most professionally, quickly and safely to ensure old carpet was removed and new undelay and carpet was fitted in around four hours. We are delighted with the carpet, the costs and with the service received from all at CMS Downs and would highly recommend them!

We recently had both our sitting room and dining room fitted with new carpets. The date we required the fitting was achieved and the friendly and professional service from the fitters was excellent. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new carpets. Good quality carpets at affordable prices fitted professionally - what else could you ask for.

Carpets and fitting all good, but I was shocked and disappointed that the fitters left me with doors I couldn't open or close ; doors into bedrooms as well as fitted wardrobe doors.
We have used Downs in the past and once again the sales person was very helpful, answering all my queries. The fitter was equally helpful and able to give knowledgeable advice for a future product. I highly recommend Downs as a local business.
Rang up to order some carpet tiles very friendly and helpfull wish everyone had this way of dealing with people highly recommend
