We recently had solar panels and battery storage installed and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Dan and Aaron did an excellent job over the two-day installation – professional, efficient, and clearly very knowledgeable. We chose this company based on a recommendation from a friend, and it’s safe to say they lived up to that positive review. The whole system is working brilliantly, although I will say they forgot to warn us about one thing… how addictive it is checking the app to see how much energy you’re generating!

Solar is a real minefield of companies all quoting different stuff etc. So I got 3 recommendations and ended up going with SSU-renewables. Price was very competitive. I had 12 panels, and a sigen stack of 12kw inverter, dc fast charger, and 18kw of battery storage. Nice people, reliable and i can't fault the job that they did. Paperwork sent through very quickly. There were a couple of minor snags with the installation, but i feel the measure of a service, is how things are dealt with when they do go wrong and these guys truly shone. They literally could not have done more to make the project go as smoothly as possible. Could not be happier, and i would reccomend SSU-Renewables. Thanks gents!

The team at SSU did a great job from start to finish! Timely responses and a thorough review of the site so precise requirements could be satisfied with the right solution. The mix of flat and pitched roof didn't seem to phase them at all either... Installation and paperwork all taken care of, great quality of workmanship - I opted to have the battery and charger at the front of the property and I have to say it looks awesome :). I'm very happy with the outcome, enjoying greater grid independence already! Wouldn't think twice about recommending these guys as they really know their stuff and nothing was too much trouble. Just go with them and you'll get a great outcome!

For me good service is simple…. Do what you said you would, when you said you would do it. This is exactly what Aaron did. Aaron fitted a solar panel array onto our garage roof and installed our batteries and ev charger. He also worked well with our builder to add the fixing brackets whilst the roof was being waterproofed. Definitely recommend and will be using again ourselves when we expand the system. Amendment: 2 years forward and we had more panels installed on our roofs. The guys did an excellent job.

Having had a trip fault on our Evergen/Growatt PV solar system for over a week (the heatwave of June) we were desperate to find a local MCS certified installer to sort the fault out we came upon SSU-renewables and despite their appointments schedule booked for at least 1-2 months ahead they said we like to help people in trouble and they would contact their engineers Daniel & Aaron and ask them to callus if they had any spare time at the end of the day to phone us to tell us they could come at that time. Well they came on the very same day and sorted out the problem straightaway. What a fantastic pair they were explaining clearly what had happened and what they were going to do. By 3pm on the day of the initial enquiry we were all up and running. This what you 5 star service and customer care. Well done guys. You are a legend!!

I couldn’t be happier with my solar panel and battery installation. From start to finish, the whole process was straightforward, professional and well organised. The installation was completed on time and to a very high standard, with the team working efficiently and leaving everything neat and tidy afterwards. What really stood out, though, was the communication throughout the project and the support provided after the installation. Any questions I’ve had have been dealt with quickly and helpfully, and it’s clear that customer service remains a priority even after the work has been completed. It’s been a pleasure dealing with the company and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering solar panels and battery storage. If I decide to expand or upgrade my system in the future, they will be my first port of call and I would be more than happy to use them again.

I sat on the fence for 3 years before pulling the trigger in 2024 and it's the best decision I ever made. Started with 26 panels across two roofs and 16kWh of batteries. Everything worked exactly as promised, so I came back for another battery in 2025, then again in 2026. Two years in, energy bills have only gone one way UP, but NOW I'm paying zero. We had installed solar in 2011 and it needed an upgrade plus a first battery. SSU were chosen after a recommendation by a friend and neighbour. They were so professional throughout the process and including all communications. They not only made me feel confident in the additional system through their explanations, I did not feel pressurised. I am now extending my batteries with SSU. Brilliant.

The company was great. Only took about 1 week from order to installation. Work was carried out efficiently. Had solar panels and battery installed. Everything worked fine. They cleaned and tidied up after the work. Also did follow up checks. Can't recommend the company highly enough.

We had our solar panels fitted by Aaron and Dan 3 years ago and have always been very glad that we chose them. We recently had to have a new flat roof fitted and SSU came to move some panels out of the way, while the work was done. They then returned to replace them once the work was finished. Aaron, Dan, Kelly and the whole team at SSU were fantastic from quote to installation. Choosing a solar installer can be a little daunting - not just because of the wide variance of quotes, but for us also because we'd just had a new roof installed, so we were extra cautious to make sure nothing of the roof got damaged and for the cabling and install to be as neat as possible. Additionally, SSU were incredibly flexible, having to shift install dates a couple of times due to roofing works getting delayed by weather. Aaron took the time to really consider the best way to install everything in the neatest way possible, taking great care to do so. Dan did the same, installing the battery, inverter and gateway super neatly in our garage. As for the system itself, SSU were competitive on price and not pushy at all in terms of what products they suggested to meet our needs. In the end, we opted for a Sigenergy system with Tigo micro inverters and cloud connection on all the panels. We had panels on two arrays across both a flat roof and a pitched roof. Cannot praise SSU highly enough and would wholly recommend them to anyone looking to get a renewable system installed.

These chaps put in our solar panels about 18 months ago. I gave them 100% then. Our inverter went wrong and we had to contact Growat who sent us a new one straight away. (We give them full marks too.) Contacted SSU to ask them to install the new one. Didn’t need to ask twice. They turned up within a couple of days and installed it. Great installation from start to finish. The team were clear and upfront from the very beginning about costs, the installation process, and what the final system would deliver – no surprises at all. SSU installed solar panels, a DC car charger and battery for us. They were great throughout the whole process! Excellent communication, keeping us up to date at every stage, including on installation days. The work was completed quickly and efficiently and we're delighted with the result. These guys, SSU Renewables! Aaron and Dan to our rescue when we needed our 17 solar panels removed for a roof replacement, they were fantastic from the off! , responded to our request for a quote the same day, friendly and lovely to talk to, instant rapport and trust, the quote came through in a couple of days, and it was sensible, unlike some of the others .. They worked well with Stevenage Roofing Company and did the job is super quick time, both the deinstallation was done in hours and re install half a day. They remounted, cleared up, and tested the whole system on the hottest day of the year !!! , highly recommend these guys. Shame we don't have another project, they were fun to work with !

SSU came installed in one day. Four guys, Dan & Aaron plus the others were exceptional and professional. Everything worked immediately. In addition at the time I didn’t have internet connection so they came back the next day just to install a sim card until my connection went live, they were happy to do it even though they didn’t have to. A month later the sim run out and I still didn’t have connection so they returned in there own time and replaced the sim topped up. A while after that I finally got connected and I contacted them , they immediately connected. Honest, reliable and do what they say they will do and more . I have and will recommend SSU.

If you’re looking for value for money then SSU is perfect for you. Not only where they cheaper but they were quicker then most anticipated. I am extremely pleased with the solar install performed by Dan and Aaron from "SSU-Renewables" back in June 2024. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the products they install. They listened to what I wanted and advised the best solution for my installation. The quote was received within the same day. They installed 20 panels (10 front, 10 back) and a Growatt Inverter in 3 days. Their workmanship looks to be of a high standard. Had no issues so far (7 months later). They were fine with me having the scaffolding for several weeks after. Which meant I could be my guttering done. I would definitely recommend them 🌞!!

We had a fairly large installation of solar panels, batteries and gateway which all went to plan and is working as planned, allowing for the often dreary English weather. Everything completed much quicker than expected and appreciated SSU focusing on completing everything with a focus on the little details, such as the tiles for the in-roof solar panels. We are in a no-gas area with ASHPs as well, so having the batteries and gateway, together with a fairly good app, has enabled us to manage much better, when we pull electricity from the grid during the colder months, so that we fill the batteries during the low cost hours and always ensuring that we are on battery power during the high cost hours 4pm to 7pm. Scaffolding company used by SSU were also great and the site was left clean and tidy after everything finished. We are using Sigenergy batteries / gateway, which provides a proper backup in case the grid goes down, with zero interruption to WiFi, which is great when working from home - so far would recommend this setup, especially if you have 3-Phase as we do. Would also recommend going with in-roof solar panels if you can afford that little bit extra, as visually it looks great

The Team are very knowledgeable and helpful, SSU Sized and spec'd our system to suit our fully electric house and installed while we were completing an extension so the install timelines shifted and were then very tight on time, but SSU pulled it out of the bag to install the solar before our builders removed the scaffolding. Would happily work with SSU again for any renewable systems, and looking forward to utilising our solar system fully and possibly extending our battery storage in the next 12 months.

Had a 16 panel 6.6kw system with battery installed, unbeatable price by a long shot (had quotes even from up north too), installed the best quality panels and battery, set the system up, app installed and explained, export tariff advice given, ev charger integrated, mcs certificate given, and when they’d left, couldn’t even tell that workmen had spent the day. And the best thing octopus have already projected a £100 a month saving at least. I love how the app tells you how may kg of coal and co2 was saved, and in less than an hour of the system being up, late afternoon, I’d saved 2 trees from deforestation 😎 want them back in a Birmingham for heat pump and other neighbours wanting systems. Thank you Gentleman.

It was great to work with SSU Renewables to have our solar array installed. They provided excellent advice and were very knowledgeable. The after service has been great as well and they have assisted us where needed. Would 100% recommend using SSU Renewables.

14 x 410 watt panels 5.74kw system + 3.3 kWh battery I had my solar panels installed in July 22 (10 panels in 3 places on the main roof) then further 4 panels on the flat roof in October 22 (slight delay with manufacturer for panel trays). I have all angles covered, from sun up to sun down. It's certainly made a difference to the electric bills, I have a dual fuel bill that has gone from £244 a month before the solar system install to £83 a month now. Thanks to Danny and Aaron's initial consultation they recommended the best set up for me, kept me informed at every stage, and in plain terms for us less techy minds! Their knowledge is second to none and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Very satisfied customer!

Fantastic Service. From agreeing what they recommended, the work was carried out within the exact timescale they predicted. Loving the Libbi system which is so easy to understand and manage. Would highly recommend SSU and confident my purchase will be repaid many times over. Even in February I am getting great results. I love the sun even more now.

I’m happy to recommend SSU. I’m delighted with the work they did. Aaron did a site visit and was very responsive and helpful with quotes. I did quite a lot of to and fro getting the combination I was happy with and Aaron was helpful and flexible. The installation went very smoothly. The scaffolding company used were really friendly and professional. The install took a few more days than planned due to some very bad weather. Some panels got scratched during install but Aaron proactively said he would replace them and did. I’m absolutely delighted with the setup SSU provided and recommend them highly.

I couldn't be more impressed with SSU-Renewables. My 84 year old mother has been plagued by cold callers and conmen trying to sell her parts for her solar panels. Daniel came round on time and fixed the set up she had saving her thousands of pounds and agreeing to come back in a couple of weeks (when there's some sun) to check it's been generating properly. If you want an honest solar company to work on your property phone them, I'm so glad I did.

21 solar panels and a 10kwh battery installation completed in July 2023. Given it a few months run-time to be sure it does everything we wanted - which it does! Masses of generation in summer and smart use of off-peak battery storage in winter. From quote to post-install support we had a great experience with SSU- Renewables. The guys at SSU-Renewables have been first class, from the initial scoping to the post-installation support. They took the time to understand what we wanted to do and what our budget was, before visiting the site and assessing where best to install the panels. They then provided a fully costed proposal with equipment details, estimated energy production and an ROI calculation showing the payback period (all based upon specific energy costs). The installation was quick and painless and the team talked us through how to understand the energy usage/apps etc. There was a delay with the install due to a supplier issue - but they kept us informed throughout so we knew when to expect the panels. Finally, they have been excellent after the installation, responding to any questions we have very quickly and thoroughly. I would not hesitate to recommend SSU-Renewables - and have a few friends who have also used them and are very happy with their work!

Aaron and Dan from SSU fitted my solar and battery system in May and it is working well. The Givenergy and Myenergi kit is good quality and the installation went smoothly and was fuss free. Communication with Aaron has been easy and he is very responsive including helping with WiFi network issues after the install. I was a little uneasy paying a large amount up front but needn't have worried as you can trust these guys to deliver what they promise.

SSU were the first to quote, and were very willing to adapt a design to my specification. They also resolved an issue with wifi signal in my garage before I asked about it. We were also able to get the higher export limit from the power network in my area, which maximises my return. I could not recommend them more!

SSU, run by Aaron and Danny, installed a solar pv system and battery at our property without fuss, when they said they would and for the agreed price. The system has been running for six months producing kwh as predicted alongside our existing pv system. A great team, delivering great service. Highly recommended.

After having several quotes from other suppliers, I was recommended SSU by a friend. Aaron and Danny were the first to come round, measure up, discuss options, and build a proposal that I wanted, not just a generic quote done remotely. We had 19 panels fitted over 2 roofs and a battery in the garage. I was very pleased with the process and quick installation. I'm also very pleased with the system. Very professional, great support and they have done a great job. Highly recommended.

I have deliberately waited 9 months after installation to write this review because I wanted to give an accurate assessment and see if the product presented any problems. I am pleased that I have given 5 stars , because it has gone beyond my expectations, not only am I saving money with my bills , the solar panels and battery have given me no problems and the expierance has been good.....I do not feel ripped off, as I was really worried due to my knowledge base . I wanted to have a local company and from the very beginning I was impressed by Aaron and Danny. They explained everything to me , in a way I could understand, provided a no pressure estimate and time scales.. On the day they turned up on time , did the job, explained it to me and answered my questions.....they were very patient with me also The after sales is also excellent as I have had to contact them on a couple of occasions because I had forgotten how to work the app the comes with the system. It is great to see two local young people offer a great service that is value for money. I would recommend anyone thinking of installing to at least have an estimate and see some of the work they have produced. I hope the future goes well for them .....Thank You Mike

We are very pleased with our new solar system from SSU Renewables and highly impressed with the level of service offered. Aaron and Danny came highly recommended by two friends down my road who’d had systems installed. Aaron popped up to do a site survey and roof inspection and the first quote was with me that evening. Subsequent quotes followed tailored to my own consumption figures & various battery options. Any questions were rapidly answered, even after hours and over a weekend. 👍 Accepted the quote late November and the installation date was set for the first week of January, I was amazed this was stuck to considering the awful weather in December and the Christmas/New Year break. Installation day arrived and 10 panels and a battery were all up and running by 2.30… good going that! So, all in all, I’m really impressed by everyone at SSU from Danny and Aaron, the installation team and the ladies in the office… I did get a quote from my local council scheme but, although in the same ballpark costs-wise, it all seemed very impersonal in comparison so no contest. Aaron and the team have carried out a great job. Quick response to my inital enquiry, a prompt survey, a good price, turned up on time, took great care when fitting the panels and battery. Pouring with rain on the day, but that didn't bother them at all. Fully explained the system and the after sales enquiries that I have had are promptly explained to me. I would definitley recommend.

I had 11 solar panels and a Zappi car charger installed by SSU. As a customer it was one of the best experiences I have had recently. Communication was always good, simple non jargon and regular. They went the extra mile to help me with the technical bits I needed to know and flexing around my constraints. My panels and car charger have been installed to a very good quality and everything works as it should. I am delighted with the work they did for me. SSU have installed a 3.6kw solar array and 6.5kw battery to my property along with a solar inverter to my hot water system. From our initial discussions and quotation through to installation, Aaron & Danny were professional, knowledgeable and quick to respond to any queries. Customer service was excellent, they kept me informed of changing timescales and the whole team were extremely helpful. The installation was clean and the install team were efficient. I am extremely satisfied with my installation and consider that SSU were competitively priced. Great experience with SSU Renewables. Aaron and Danny were really responsive and installed the solar panels, inverter and battery pack in less than a day within a week of ordering. Great guys to deal with, highly recommend this company.

Finding a solar provider in this high demand market who takes the time to actually visit your home (most want to do a teams/google thing) and provide a quality survey/recommendation is not easy. SSU turned out to be one of those companies. Their pricing was also fair, notably cheaper than the other providers who were in full gouge mode. Two other providers concluded we could receive a maximum of 5 or 7 panels (365w) for a 1.8kWh and 2.5kWh system respectively. With an annual use of over 12,000 kWh I was keen to maximise the number of panels installed. We recently completed a flat roof dormer so our roof space was far from ideal. SSU designed/recommended a 12 panel install of Hyundai 410w panels totalling 4.9kw across 3 roof locations squeezing out every practical inch. They turned up on the promised day and due to the complexity of the install worked late into the evening to ensure all was complete. Their attention to detail and care taken was apparent. We installed the inverter and battery inside our previously converted garage so I had some concerns as to how much of an eyesore that would turn out to be….I actually think this turned out ok. Have attached a picture and it is clear they put in some time and effort to keep things neat and tidy. The house is airconditioned and we are a total of 3 remote workers in separate spaces (so lights, air conditioners, pc’s etc). So far our experience is this : Sunny day we generate enough power to fully cover all consumption during the day as well as charge the battery up (I’ll probably be upgrading the battery as we still end up exporting quite a bit). Overcast day (fully overcast white clouds) still generated enough to cover our consumption and fill the battery. The last 2 weeks of June saw us generate 335 kWh of which we utilised 292 kWh (rest exported) – currently on a fixed rate plan at 36.4p per kWh saving £106. Highly recommended.

Danny and Aaron won me over from their first sight visit. Before we even got to discuss the equipment that could be supplied and fitted they resolved how the installation could be carried out with minimal intrusion to the cosmetics of the house. The technical information they supplied me enabled me to satisfy myself that the equipment being quoted for was amongst the best on the market and their price was very keen. Not the cheapest but their knowledge and skill were definitely worth any difference in cost. The installation was a bit of challenge but they just got on with it and it was done as they initially described. The solar panel and battery system are working fine! Good chaps.

SSU Renewable is a reliable solar installation company. They were the first company to contact me and visit my house to measure and offer a quote. Since the installers run the company, there is no salesperson, so they gave their time to provide a detailed installation plan. Their price was the best for value out of all the other companies, including EON. On the installation day, they were on time, and they put a lot of pride in their work and cable management. There were easy to contact, and I would recommend them to other people.

SSU is a Very Straight Forward local company , called them for a quote - they were able to explain how it all works without any cold selling and trust me i had a couple of other quotes to compare , they have a transparent way of payment through the bank transfers with all certifications and top quality service . They are always calling back even if they miss your call and they do care . Guys came on time on the day of the installation and the work was completed the same day - they know what they are doing and what they are talking about. They demonstrated how it all works and they left without any questions being unanswered - if you want the company that you can trust go for SSU Renewables

My wife and I got several quotes for a Solar PV system, and we decided to go ahead with SSU Renewables - based on a competitive quote, a good recommendation from a customer who'd had a similar system installed by them recently, and their flexibility with a couple of changes we decided upon leading up to the installation. We recently moved to the Luton area and needed someone to carry out electrical work in our house. We heard about Ssu Renewables through a family friend and asked them in to replace the traditional bayonet type lights in each room with downlights. This gave each room in the house a much more modern look and it certainly brightened up all the rooms. We were so impressed by the work we asked them back to rewire our kitchen before having our new kitchen fitted. This included hiding switches within cupboards, adding additional sockets and moving sockets for integrated appliances.
