Choosing Air conditioning for the home is not so easy especially if you have no knowledge or experience on the matter. So why did I choose Electrum ? Well it was mainly their Youtube channel that interested me. They have many videos on the subject of AC and for the novice like me the information was gold everything from costs, which manufacturer, positioning of indoor units and outdoor. After calling them, Vasil requested if I could send over some plans with measurements of the house for a rough estimate. I then instructed Vasil to visit my property for an official price. I didn't choose Electrum because they were the cheapest but they were very reasonable for the package I chose. They installed a large Mitsubushi Industries Heavy Duty multi split serving five rooms, two separate units serving my sons room and the other for the gym in my garden. All completed to a very high standard. What impressed me was that all electrical work was carried out by the same team, as they are NICEIC-registered electricians as well as Air conditioning installers. This gave me great confidence that all work was installed safely and professionally. In particular I was impressed with how the team took on board my concerns with the condensing pipes near the Multi split unit, the run of the pipe was expertly installed making sure water would run away from the house. The boys were polite, friendly and hard working and a joy to have in my home. My home was not disrupted during the installation they wore protective boot covers to minimise mess in my home and hoovered up after the days work and made sure all rubbish removed. I would wholeheartedly recommend Electrum Electrical for any electrical work or Air Conditioning installation. A superb job from the start to the finish, if your unsure of who to call or want some information, their Youtube channel is a great place to start.

I’m very glad that all the C2 observations from our EICR have now been resolved. I had serious electrical problems after my extension was completed by a builder, and I contacted Electrum Electrical to investigate. I am extremely glad I did. They discovered very serious issues with the wiring that had been installed incorrectly and unsafely, including missing earth connections and unsafe cable joints hidden in the ceiling. They had to open parts of the ceiling, remove all the incorrect wiring, and completely rewire the bathroom lighting and extractor fan properly and safely. They also corrected the extractor fan installation so that moisture is now vented outside properly. The work was done very professionally, cleanly, and they explained everything clearly to me. I now have peace of mind knowing that the electrical installation is safe. Ps: These are pictures of the poor electrical work that was done by the previous person. He had used red tapes to tie the wires.

I’m very happy that I chose Electrum Electrical to sort out my issue. I asked the electrician to explain everything to me in more technical terms so I could share it here for others’ benefit. The hob is gas, but the oven is electric. However, whoever connected it before had used a 13A plug, which the electrician explained was unsafe because the fuse would eventually blow once the oven was overloaded. When Electrum Electrical inspected the setup, they clearly explained that the oven should be hardwired to a 32A breaker through a 45A isolator with a cooker outlet. This allows the oven to be safely hardwired, exactly as an electrician should do. They completed the whole job wonderfully — clean, tidy, and professional. I’m very pleased with their work and it’s great to finally find an electrician I can trust. I hope this information helps anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable electrician. Excellent job!.

Vasile carried out some EICR remedials, which included replacing 3No. consumer units, rebonding the earth, replacing 8No. downlights, and testing all the circuits in a 5 bedroom house. Fitted 2 AC units for my home both 7kwh and one in the hallway which cools all 5 bedrooms upstairs, removing the need for individual ACs in each room. If any of your children have skin conditions such as eczema, they even install an air purifier to the AC which has greatly improved the skin conditions of my own children. Highly recommend!

Electrum Electrical, a family-owned and run business, came recommended to me via a friend. After living in London for a decade, with each summer heatwave becoming more unbearable than the last, we decided to invest in air conditioning. Within just a few hours, they gave me a quote via WhatsApp based on a video and photos of my home (and did not deviate from this quote). Less than a week later, they drove from Luton to my home in Zone 2 of Northwest London to install, taking just over half a day to complete the job. (By contrast, other HVAC firms I enquired with quoted install times of 2-3 days.) I’ve been working with Electrum Electrical for many years now. A few days ago, on one of our new construction sites, we had a sudden and very alarming experience—smoke started coming out of a USB socket, some spotlights, and even a computer. It was quite scary. I immediately contacted the owner of Electrum Electrical, he dropped what he was doing to come the same day. He quickly began fault-finding to identify the issue. A ground worker had moved a field supply board and main supply cable and had loosened a neutral connection. He explained that this caused a surge, which dramatically increased the voltage and damaged several electronics. They resolved the issue, secured everything properly, and confirmed that the installation is now safe. I really appreciate their fast response and clear explanation of what happened. We’re happy everything is sorted and safe again, and we would happily recommend Electrum Electrical to others.
