Ohms For Homes

A great service. My call was answered promptly. The explanation of what was to be done was easy to understand. The job was completed efficiently and quickly. Alex was polite and friendly. The cost was very reasonable. I will certainly recommend him to all.

Really happy with the electrical work carried out by Alex. He’s friendly, considerate and does a great job. Fully recommend by us!

Alex installed a new circuit and fusebox for an electric cooker. Very satisfied with his work. Quite a tricky job because of the location. He came on time, and charged a reasonable price, and he left everything clean and tidy. Recommended.

I found Alex by chance, based on his reviews. His good reviews are well earned: he was everything you want a good electrician to be - I'm only sorry we didn't find him sooner. He's knowledgeable, his work is solid, he gets on with it, moving quickly between tasks and keeping things clean/tidy as he goes. He's punctual, doesn't try and sell you things you don't need, gives you honest advice and is reasonably priced. He's quick and consistent in his communication, too, and does a very nice job of walking the line between respectful of the customer/service provider relationship while keeping things friendly and personable. As a measure of the kind of person he is, he made an error in estimating time based on reasonable common assumptions (he was replacing the main fuse box and ours is a very old grade listed building, so likely the exception to the rule more often). He was very open about it, acknowledged the error, accepted accountability for it, and did not attempt to charge for the extra time (I offered, as it was a quite understandable oversight, but he declined to take the extra money). A lesser electrician would have tried to hide it, come up with some rationale to explain it away, or at the very least take the extra money offered. Not Alex. He had given his word, and was sticking to it. All to say, Alex is the Electrician you wish you had discovered years ago. He's the one you should call today, and be the first person you call for anything electrical going forward. If you do, I'm pretty sure he's the last electrician you'll ever need. Try him for your next project... you'll be glad you did.

Best Electrician ever, wouldn’t use anybody else! He found the fault in 5 min and fixed it at speed of light. Really nice guy too!

Alex fitted a replacement security light for me. All done very quickly and efficiently and no mess. Highly recommend.

I have used Ohms for Homes on a couple of occasions now and they have gone over and above to help. Very polite and helpful and explains what they are doing. A credit to their trade.

Alex, from Ohms for Homes, has just finished some electrical work for us, new consumer unit (fuse board) and a couple of new sockets for a room that was lacking. It’s a relief to have found a professional electrician who has done all that we asked and inspires confidence. Alex is a very friendly chap too! Thank you.

We asked Alex to fit some light shades for us and we're really happy with the service and end result. He went above and beyond and was very professional. I'd recommend Alex to anyone.

Alex turned up when he said he would (Five Stars for that alone!) and quickly and efficiently replaced my u/s bathroom extractor fan. Great guy, will definitely use again and recommend

Professional, knowledgable, efficient. Excellent service.

Alex initially did a survey of the electrics in our older house and impressed us with both his depth of knowledge and communication. He rewired the house from top to bottom and was always happy to suggest alternatives and find solutions for the inevitable problems we found. We are very pleased with his work and feel that the charges reflect the work done. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex.

I would highly recommend this service. Professional, responsive, compassionate and efficient. I would definitely use Ohms for Home s again. Many thanks

Alex brought a great set of skills to our renovation project. He delivered a full safety check, followed up by a plan to meet all regulations and to future proof our electrical requirements. He also helped plan out the lighting throughout the house, including the attic areas, loft exterior and garage lighting and electrical supply. Alex was highly professional, timely, outcome-focused (he pushed the job along when required!) and respectful of our home, even though it was a building site. The characteristic that shines through with Alex, is his determination to leave you with exactly what you want and need, even if this means making a change to the original plans. I am particularly pleased with the way our living space feels. The range of lights installed meets all our needs and we have options from cosy to bright. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex (his patience is also to be commended as it has taken me a long time to upload this review).

Alex carried out some work for us installing indoor lighting. The quality of the work was excellent and undertaken under difficult circumstances. Alex was courteous, professional, and also kept everything very clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ohms for Homes.

Alex really helped us out this morning, taking time to consider all the options very thoroughly and explaining issues in detail and very clearly. He did an excellent job choosing, acquiring and installing an outside sensor light and gave us good ideas about how to tackle remaining problems on his next visit. He went above and beyond our expectations, doing an extra little diy job for us for free. And all in under two hours! Very highly recommended.

Alex is friendly and professional, turns up on time and completes work efficiently and tidily. He is a good communicator and will explain issues to enable the client to understand the possible alternatives to resolve a situation to their satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Alex put in a lot of effort to secure a new socket to match our existing brushed stainless steel one which had failed, sourcing a more reliable brand

Alex replaced two consumer units and installed a new consumer unit for a future EV charging point, and some other jobs. He undertook a thorough job and was very patient with the issues that our old electrics threw at him. He took time to explain clearly what needed to be done at each stage. I was extremely pleased with the outcome and would recommend him to anyone.
