Had a guy called Chris come out to sort out my radiator and boiler out, what a great worker, explained to me about having the boiler at the right temperature, very knowledgeable and cares about his work. Booker and best are vert lucky to have him working for them. Thanks

Everything is sorted now, the carpenters did a fantastic job.

Keep ringing them as need jobs fixing windows door they say they ring back never do then tell me no jobs on there list os feed up

Really poor service. Lied twice to us about a booked in service and didn’t keep to their word causing distress ++. Do not recommend. Stay well clear.

Took a day off work for them to come and look at a job. Expected them between 8-12:30 and they didn’t turn up

worse than useless

Had my bathroom refurbished recently. A lovely job was done by all. Cleaned up after themselves, the guys were all courteous and polite and I'm really pleased with the new bathroom.

Booker & Best recently came and installed our new boiler. The gas engineer was punctual, efficient and took great care to leave the workspace clean and tidy.

If you have a plumbing emergency- despite having a maintenance contract- phone contact is impossible - i am using lots of towels to stem the leak as there are alarming dents in the ceiling below.

I am part of Churchcoombe CA in Uckfield, and yesterday a lovely man called John repaired the planters at the beginning of the estate and made a fantastic job, making them sturdy, a job we are unable to do with an aged Committee. Thankyou for a brilliant job and polite operative.

The repair job on our boiler was left incomplete, as the engineer (who we thought seemed very knowledgeable) said he needed to get a spare part for it. That was in early April and tomorrow we’ll be in June. Despite at least six phone calls and a lengthy letter sent to the Director, nobody has contacted me at all. The engineer is apparently never available, the receptionists are sympathetic and apologetic, but I am left without hot water in my bathroom and a boiler that may or may not be fixed.

Still waiting for bathroom taps and kichen leak to be fixed come round did not have anything in van he's said he wound come back next day that was 6 weeks still waiting lol

I had a guy called Chris come and do an Electrical inspection and saftey test. My wife asked if he could wait 10 minutes for me to get home as she has a neurological disorder. He explained what he was going to do. After doing his inspection he said that we had a couple of faults which he the search for and fixed and replaced a smoke detector. If I ever need any electrical work doing again I would ask for Chris again.

Asked them for a quote to replace a bifold shower door, it took 2 weeks for them to do a quote (they did not even come out) and the quote was £800. I did my own research and that brought the cost to £200 and their hourly rate was £45. When I asked why they estimated 13 hours to fit the door they got very cagey and would not give a straight answer. To my mind, someone was trying to pull a fast one on me and will not admit it. I am not happy with this, especially seeing as these guys used to be pretty good a couple of years ago.

After using them before we had hoped to use them again but trying to get them out just to quote for work is impossible, promised certain people would call back but chased on 2 occasions and now given up. Things have certainly gone downhill here.

Very poor, never replies to emails or request for service. Had to get British Gas to sort out.

Despite calling twice to confirm the appointment as it meant I had to finish work early, they didn't bother turning up. The following day I called to see what had happened, and yet again, they didn't bother returning my call. Personally, I wouldn't bother.

Booker & Best were called to fix my central heating which had stopped working during the very cold weather in February. After each visit from 3 different engineers the heating was made to work then broke down again shortly afterwards. Finally, it stopped and Booker & Best insisted the problem was being caused by a blockage and needed a £500 flush to get it working again! This I doubted and kept insisting they send another engineer to check the system which they refused to do unless I agreed to having the system flushed through! I decided to call another company to double check the system which they did today and after a few tests found that the heating by pass valve was set too far open so the heating was basically being by-passed by the boiler. Now ALL our radiators are HOT even the ones that haven't been working properly since Booker & Best fitted the new boiler 3 years ago! All in all a very disappointing service and lucky to get 2 stars !

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. Had a simple job of putting a Fire door from hallway to garage (single brick wall) Knocked hole in wall NO dust sheets, put it in wrong position, damaged flooring with angle grinder, contaminated my possessions with brick dust. Took over four weeks and seven trades people to complete the job. I would say a bunch of cowboys but cowboys are useful (exception of the carpenter) I wouldn't use them again

Unbelievable shower of cowboys. The guy that called round to fix a toilet, said he "doesn't agree" that the problem exists! Despite it being a very obvious problem.. Sick of these idiots. No wonder the ;council and housing associations use them...must be cheap, like their attempts to work. Avoid!
