Potentia were first class. I approached several companies and they were the only ones to make a personal visit. Dan went to great trouble to understand our circumstances. The installation team were very impressive, including the scaffolders. The team knew their job and ensured all was fitted as it should. I am delighted with the appearance and performance of the system. Neighbours have commented how neat it looks. Would highly recommend.

A big thank you to Potentia for recently installing our new solar installation. We approached several companies regarding having a new solar panel installation. We felt Potentia gave us the best quote in terms of price, quality and confidence. They have now installed the system and we have to say that definitely made the correct decision. From the initial scaffolding set up to the post installation work we have had a fantastic service. Dan and his team did a great job of advising, fitting and setting up our solar panels, battery and EV charger. They were able to work around our availability, minimised the impact on our day-to-day lives, and were so friendly and easy to engage with. We would definitely recommend them!

I cannot recommend Potentia Engineering highly enough. The team, particularly Dan and Kirsty who I was lucky enough to deal with, were superb from the initial point of contact through delivery and in after sales care. It’s inadequate to say they know their stuff… it’s much more than that. They have a deep knowledge of the technology and its application but, possibly more importantly, a great understanding of how to communicate this to the customer in an easy to understand way. When Potentia explained the benefits of solar pv combined with battery storage and an immersion diverter, it made it a no brainer to have it installed. All communication prior to the install was clear and efficient and explained exactly what was going to happen. The install date was accurate and the team arrived on site on time. The work was completed on time and the site was left completely clear (possibly in a better state than when they arrived!). The set up of the monitoring and control app was explained in detail with recommended scenarios e.g. diversion of excess energy to heat water, set up. Potentia has, with my permission, access to the site remotely so are able to check on any issues that could arise and suggest tweaks to the set up. After sales service has always been superb with any questions answered very quickly and any issues (of which there has been only one and that was caused by the grid supplier) resolved asap. The company is also a very human one… it is clear that they are not just interested in the revenue that installs bring but are invested in ensuring their customers benefit from their knowledge and expertise to improve their energy efficiency and reduce bills. They are also very community minded and are always looking for ways to help out local communities (or, as I discovered, far away ones as well – look for news about their amazing work in Ghana). My mother was so impressed with the work and attention to detail that she has had a full install by Potentia. Again, the team did everything and more to ensure that someone in their late 80s understood and felt comfortable with their suggestions. The install was as she said “done so well, so neatly and by such nice people” and has provided a welcome relief on the energy bills particularly with the loss of the winter fuel allowance. Potentia are one of the best companies I’ve worked with in my too many years and I would not think of using anyone else in this sector no matter where I might be in the country (or possibly abroad!)

I highly recommend Potentia for a solar & battery domestic installation. They conducted a thorough viability assessment of our property, internal and external and used a sophisticated high res drone to assess the roof. All of this meant that when it came to the installation it all went very smoothly. Our electrical energy needs are now all being met by our new system. A great experience from quotation to commissioning. Having worked in the service industry for 25 years I know great service and that is exactly what I got. The system quoted was perfectly suited my needs, the installation team were very professional, cleaned up and completed the installation to an impeccable standard. The communication was great all my queries were responded to promptly. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend Potentia to anyone. I was actually recommended Potentia by a friend and I can now see why.

Dan, Kirsty and team have recently completed two installs for our family in Cheltenham. My brother Dylan has already left a review. Our installs were actually only a few days apart. However my brother was the first to meet Dan and was the reason I made contact with Potentia in the first place. He told me that after his very first meeting with Dan that he was very very impressed and said “you know when you just have that feeling that this person is the right person for the job?” Trusting my big brothers instincts; I too made contact and arranged for Dan to survey our property. From the initial telephone conversation to Dan attending our property for the very first time with his drone to complete a survey; I instantly could see what my brother meant and felt exactly the same. Dan is a very friendly, likeable, super knowledgable and the upmost professional. Our install was more complex than my brothers; It comprised of 19 x 380w panels split between East/West facing roofs, a 9.5kw GivEnergy battery, a 5kw Givenergy Gen 2 hybrid inverter and bird blocker, as we have a lot of birds in our village that like nesting in our roof! Fast track to install day… The scaffolders arrived and due to us having an East/West array we required scaffolding on two sides of the house, Scaffolding done, Dan and his team spent the next few days completing our install. The whole team are super friendly, polite, hardworking and a credit to the company! Part way through our install, due to our house being three storey and very tall, they realised they needed extra scaffolding at the side of the house. Dan made a call and the scaffolders arrived in 20 minutes (yes really!) and erected an additional tower! (They must like him alot too!). Now, I work in aerospace, where everything has to be perfect (especially electrical wiring installs) so I can appreciate good workmanship when I see it. Well every aspect of the job carried out at our property is exceptional! Bottom line is; if you are after a solar install and want an exceptional job done by exceptional people then look no further than these guys! I seldom leave reviews but these guys deserve it, hence the quite long meandering review! If all tradespeople were this good then life would be much easier for sure! A week after our install (mid February) we are already producing enough power to be pretty much independent from the grid! Exceeding projections already, and for sure will never have a £400 energy bill like we had in January ever again! I’m more than happy for anyone considering Solar to view our property to see the level of workmanship, if it helps them make their decision to use Potentia or not. I’m also very happy in the knowledge that if we ever have a problem with our system, that Dan is on the end of the phone to help and no doubt will do anything to help rectify any issues. We are sitting in our hot tub in our garden and have had a builder doing renovations to our house for the last 4 months who has frustrated the hell out of us…. I look up at our solar panels which still look great and have worked flawlessly for the last 15 months… I pay next to nothing for electricity anymore , regardless of having a hot tub and I think why can’t all contractors be like Dan and his team?? I’ve had no need to contact Dan since the install but still have confidence he would be there to help within a jiffy…. From start to finish, nothing but praise for a highly professional service from Potentia Engineering. Unlike other companies I spoke to who employed salesmen that have never even installed a solar system, Dan came to survey and quote, specifying a solar and battery system that completely matched my requirements, with no upselling or unnecessary extras. Dan then had the complete system installed and up and running in two days. Since the system was installed in October 23, it has been working seamlessly, significantly reducing our electricity bills. Exceptionally high standard of work and customer service that puts other companies to shame and very easy and friendly to work with. Highly recommended !

Dan and the team have done a fantastic job on our recent solar project. From the outset when Dan visited us to get the requirement, I realised that Potentia are not like other suppliers. Dan took the time to understand what we wanted to achieve and explained why he advocated the solution he was going to recommend. He got it spot on. It is clear Dan really knows the business he is in and has a real energy about delivering great outcomes. I couldn't believe how fast we moved from contract to delivery - the three months I expected from other suppliers was just weeks for Potentia. When it came to installation, it was all but wrapped up on day 2, and Dan's team had even replaced previously damaged tiles on the roof. Post sale, Dan has been very supportive which gives me great confidence that should any problems arise he will be in there sorting them out. Am I happy I chose Potentia - hell yes!

I recently had Potentia in to fit a 10kw home battery. From start to finish they have been very professional and have always answered my questions . Dan brings a lot of experience and knowledge, so I knew I was in safe hands. They've been very competitive and have helped with teething issues. We contact Potentia after problems with our original installer. We wanted to get some more panels added to our system after having an extension built, and our original installer agreed to supply and fit these, but then let us down repeatedly with no timeframe for resolution. We had already had the installer back previously to rectify major issues with their work, which had taken several months to resolve, so decided to look elsewhere. Our experience with Dan and Kirsty couldn’t have been more different! Right from the start, we were struck by their caring attitude. They bent over backwards to help us, and to do so as quickly as possible (Dan even came out at 0730 one morning to meet us and do a survey!). During the survey he identified further problems with the original installation that we hadn’t been aware of: the panels were hanging slightly off the edge of the roof, which contravened regulations and put them at risk of being blown off in a storm; and there was a clip missing which meant one panel wasn’t even properly attached. There were also pigeons nesting under the panels – our original installer hadn’t offered bird proofing. Dan suggested we contact MCS and try to get the original installer to put these issues right, as we shouldn’t have had to pay for this ourselves, but due to the stress we’d already been through and having no confidence in our original installer to do a good job, we instead asked Potentia to do this work for us, and to supply and fit the extra panels at the same time (along with bird proofing). We also asked them to move our inverter and batteries inside, now that we had space in the extension. They booked us in as early as they could, and proved completely reliable. Dan even came out again the day before the installation to check everything. On installation day they brought round a large team who worked together to get everything completed within the day. They did an excellent job and by the end of the day, the system was back up and generating. Inside, the equipment looks very neat too. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Potentia and only wish that we had found them first!

Recently had Potentia fit and commission a PV system at my house including battery and car charger. I got a bunch of quotes before starting, and they were not the cheapest: but they didn't try and sell me things I didn't want, and actually listened to my requirements. Communication throughout was fantastic, all work took place exactly when Dan said it would. A fantastic company and I wish all my building interactions were like the one I had with Potentia.

5 months on solar and a whopping £700 saved on bills plus another £100 back in export payments. Can highly recommend. Dan and Kirsty at Potentia Engineering who designed and installed our system. I can't praise this company enough from start to finish. I came to Dan needing some guidence for our proposed setup. He attended our property the same week and we had our quotes by the weekend. He listens and guides you and is not at all pushy about what route you go. He is a true professional with the knowledge to match. The install was then up in a couple of weeks. The team were outstanding and work like a well oiled machine. The quality of work was of the highest standard. Kirsty in the office was also outstanding, paperwork and certificates were sent over in a timely fashion. I've already recommended PE to several friends. Just had solar panels and batteries installed. Dan and Kirsty were brilliant to work with. The survey was completed quickly, with a really detailed quote and solar generation projection produced. The installation was scheduled around my roof replacement, which changed a couple of times and the installation was flexed accordingly. The installation team were all extremely friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.

Thank you Potentia Engineering for your help and consultancy this past week and giving us the system of our geeky dreams! Absolutely recommend Dan and his team if you're in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas and looking for a reputable installer. We already had a solar set up which we were largely happy with but wasn't spec'd quite right. With the longer sunny days it was evident that it needed some tweaks to make it more efficient and perform better. After a quick phone call to discuss our plight, Dan popped round the next day and had a look at our setup, gave us his recommendations and we agreed on a way forward. We had a quote within a few days, application submitted to DNO shortly after, and an install date agreed all within 3 weeks of our initial discussion. Install day went seamlessly (despite my terrible tea and coffee making skills) and they left everything nice and tidy. Potentia also has a great office support team who kept us informed throughout the process. Customer service and communication seems to be a lost art these days in some trades so we were really pleased to have a team so responsive! We are thrilled with the work they have done for us and with the upcoming week of sunshine we are buzzing about seeing our system finally perform to its full potential. We have just had Dan from Potentia Engineering install Solar Panels to our Bungalow. From our initial interest, Dan was very professional, giving us a lot of expert advice and recommendations of different power supplies and inverters and to look at there websites for reviews etc. He used a Drone to see the roof and calculate how many Panels could be installed which wasn’t easy as we have a number of dormer windows and chimneys on the south facing side, unlike many bigger companies who use google earth…! The Quote was raised the same day which was very good, and so we booked ourselves in, using Giv- Energy 9.5kw Battery and 3.6kw Inverter for installation. Three weeks later and we have been very lucky and had components delivered and installed and it looks great. Dan and Aiden worked hard through some very bad weather on Friday fuelled only by coffee and returned Monday to complete the installation. First thoughts are that it looks great, well build and hopefully will reduce our bills considerably as a high user of 10000kw a year.. Communication has been brilliant from start to finish with excellent customer service skills, answering emails and calls on any questions asked and any helping set up the online app. within the day if not hours. I already have promoted Potentia Engineering to my friends that are interested and hopefully this review will help his business grow. We would highly recommend Potentia instead of using larger firms, not only for price but customer relations and expert installation. More 6 ⭐️ than 5…

Dan and Aidan recently installed solar PV at my property. They were punctual, tidy, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I have found very few contractors that care like these guys did, they seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and working with each other and the results speak for them self! 6 stars out of 5! Dan and Aidan spent two days installing a PV system on my house. There were numerous snags - none of which they created- but they took the time to help me resolve them to keep the installation on track and not have to reschedule. They were on time, exceedingly knowledgeable and experienced, friendly and tidy! Dan advised me on which components were required, which were optional, and which presented no value for money. He helped me figure out how to use the system and its app and gave me a number of useful tips. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Recently I decided to explore having solar panels fitted. I looked at number of companies but found Dan at Potentia Engineering explained the system he proposed to use in straightforward language. He had measured my roof space in great detail including using a drone and explained the set up to get the best results. Following this he went into detail of how much it would cost. He then agreed a date he would be able to fit the system and did not let me down. The finished system not only looks good it works as Dan said it would and at the cost he quoted me. In conclusion I would highly recommend Potentia Engineering.

In modern times going the extra mile is a rare thing, but this is exactly what you will get with Potentia. Absolutely first class service. My installation was not exactly straight forward and required several work arounds resulting in a very long day for Dan. Dan is an extremely capable electrician with an engineering background. In short you can’t go wrong with putting your trust in Dan and his trusted colleague Aidan.

Dan and his team came out to install our new panels via a 3rd party today and cannot fault their professionalism (Same can't be said for the 3rd party!). They had everything completed within a few hours.
