Bruce came round on Monday and installed a air conditioning unit into the living room of my tiny park home. The difference it has made. It was becoming unbearable in here, the place was like an oven. Also as I have a health condition I was feeling pretty rough. The heat wasn't doing the cat much good either The living room cools pretty quick. After a while the kitchen becomes cooler as well as the bedroom. Bruce was informative keeping in touch, arrived in time, explained how things worked etc. He did a good job tidying up. I had almost given up trying to get this installed as a few other companies didn't even get back to me. There are probably a few things I've forgotten to say, but thank you 😊

We recently had Bruce from Future Smart come out and install an air conditioning unit for us in Elmstead Market, Essex. From the initial enquiry, the company were informative, friendly and very professional. The installation was smooth and we're very happy with the service received from start to finish. Bruce came and done an air conditioning install for a young man with complex needs this week, in two rooms. I recently used this electrical company in Colchester to carry out EICR inspections across several of my HMO properties, and I was very impressed with the service from start to finish. The team were professional, punctual, and clearly very knowledgeable about the requirements for HMO compliance. They arranged the inspections efficiently across multiple properties and communicated well throughout the process, which made things much easier for me as a landlord. All the EICR reports were completed promptly and provided in a clear, well-documented format. They also took the time to explain any observations and recommended remedial works where necessary, without any pressure. Overall, a reliable and professional service. I would definitely recommend them to other landlords in Colchester who need EICR testing or general electrical work for rental properties.

Bruce came and fitted our EV charging point this week. He arrived promptly within the time frame given. Was very professional throughout and cleaned up after himself. There were a few issues with connecting the charging point to our WiFi but Bruce sorted this himself, even calling customer services to make sure it was all active and working well before he left (the connecting issue was our fault, not anything to do with the installation of the charger but he still sorted it) He also entertained two nosey four year olds who were desperate to know what “the man” was doing and if that drill was really his 😂 5 stars, would recommend! Personable, friendly, professional and prices are extremely reasonable.

Great job by Bruce and his team. They de-commissioned my old air conditioner and installed a new one in a very awkward location but without compromising the quality of the work. They worked above and beyond the call of duty to get it all done in time. They also added an extra battery to my solar system at the same time. All in all an excellent job at a reasonable price and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Reliable, good communication, friendly very competent and I can trust

I’m based in Colchester and have been trying to find a good electrician that I can trust to complete an EICR on my property, following a bad experience with another company. After initially speaking with Elise for a quote, I felt at ease and comfortable, and the booking process was really simple. For the appointment I was given a tracking link to see the arrival time of the electrician. Bruce carried out the EICR, he was really friendly, personable and talked me through the process. I received the EICR certificate before Bruce had left my property, so there was no waiting for the certificate which would likely have taken days or even weeks to receive from another company. Excellent Emergency Electrician over Xmas. I had a complicated issue with a solar inverter cutting the supply to the house. I was originally given a slot between 12 and 3pm, but unfortunately a previous booking overran which I was informed about. They rescheduled the appointment for 6pm, which I thought was very late to install a EV charger, but they said they would rather not let me down as there would be no other appointments available until after the new year. The engineer turned up at 6.30pm and promptly got on with the installation, even though he had started work early that morning he was very polite and friendly. The installation is very neat and exactly as I hoped it would be. I would definitely recommend this company as they kept me informed all the way throughout the day, and I can’t rate the installer highly enough.

I switched to this company after getting absurd quote from one of the many 24/7 Stansted based companies (which are all the same dodgy place) that Google suggests for this area. Very happy I changed companies. Quick responses, professional, friendly, reliable, conscientious about not creating mess and don’t rip you off. Highly recommended, especially if you are a woman living on your own who doesn’t want to be swizzed by an old school cowboy, and want someone trustworthy in your home.

We had very bad experience with electrician from this company . We asked to check all sockets and electrician didn't screw an internal screw back in meaning the connection came loose . It was potentially dangerous . The socket was connected to the oven that stopped working after his service . Electrician also damaged another socket. When we called Future Smart to describe the problems electrician said it was not his fault and customer service was rude saying my oven could stop working . It was not true because another electrician fixed the socket and the oven is working now . Future Smart was the worst and the most expensive service we had . We paid £ 380 and had damaged sockets . Never anymore !!!!

Second time I have used this company and am delighted with the results. I had a new air-conditioning unit and mains fitted to my outside office. Could not be happier! Clean, tidy and efficient. Engaged this company to upgrade in our church 18 old florescent tubes to LED assemblies. They arrived within the time slot given, and started work immediately. Excellent service from Future Smart, I was able to get an electrical installation condition report for a house sale arranged to suit my timing. They did a very thorough inspection, discussed the result after. The report was issued promptly. I booked in to have the necessary consumer unit replacement. Very clear quotation, efficient booking process, great communication, and the job was done very thoroughly and professionally. Would definitely use them again.

I approached Bruce when the company we previously hired to fit air conditioning in our house failed to return to fix operational issues with the unit, and I struck gold when I got a call back from Bruce. It’s rare to find customer service like Bruce and Future Smart - we had quite an ordeal with our unit which required weeks, months, of back and forth of checking where Bruce was essentially blindly fixing an issue of a unit he hadn’t installed. Bruce throughout the process was fair, honest, honourable and incredibly helpful to us and the issues with the AC. He went above and beyond to fix the problems and really restored our faith in the trade as we were severely let down by the previous workers. He has an excellent customer service system which shares his estimated time of arrival and quotes of his work which built our trust by being so transparent. He did everything he could to make sure we had a working AC system, going further than I expected him to! And then we were so impressed by his service that we booked him in to do more work: a consumer unit (fuse board) and an EV unit for the house. I think we’ve found the best electrician in Essex, thank you for everything Bruce!

After receiving a very poor EICR, I asked Bruce to do the work required. Bruce done a fantastic job, went through the EICR replacing what needed to be replaced, repairing what could be repaired & generally tidying up what had been a bit of a mess. Bruce was very pleasant, turned up when arranged worked quietly & tidely. I would thoroughly recommend Bruce for the quality of his work every time.

I contacted the company today after a serious malfunction with my electric metre that could have been catastrophic (not related in any way to Future Smart). Bruce answered and was calm, offering support and advice. Due to being without electricity for nearly 48 hours an appointment was made and he came along to carry out testing on the same day, therefore reenergising the property for myself and my family. Called Future Smart Electrical & Renewables Ltd to fix electric shower problem. Bruce came to the call and discussed possible problems. He arrived on the same day as the call and diagnosed the problem. I had a transformer malfunction that needed to be replace asap as it was VERY OLD! Bruce was kind enough to source a new 'old' transformer to replace it. Took a few days, but issue sorted out today! Everything is working now as it was! Many thanks Bruce for all the help! Can i say a big thankyou to you for such a great job. We had 24 panels over three aspects of our rather difficult roof - being 100 year old converted bugalow the roof tiles were a little bit of a pain. We already had 1000s of spares as i know from experiance just how brittle they were - they guys never complained even though i know the job wasnt the easy. Bruce was brilliant from the start, i got recommended by a mutual friend and he was straight on the job. Before i knew it the DNO had given us our G99 application and the job was ready to go. The guys took a little over two weeks to get the job done even with our frustrating roof, we opted for solar skirts which added a bit to the installation but i think it was well worth the look. The job was very professional and tidy. The inevitable mess that was made was cleared at the end of each day. Our setup has been in in since april (now july) and we have a massive in credit on our gas and electric bill thanks to these panels with the wall. We highly recommend this company and will be returning to have our second wall put in the not so distant future. Thankyou again

They installed our extraction fans via the Hug 2 government funding. We didn't have a choice of which company we used but we would definitely use them again. We were very impressed with the workmen, who were considerate, polite and hard working.

We were very pleased with the installation of our storage heaters and panel heaters carried out by Future Smart Electricals. Bruce and his team were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable throughout the day. They cleaned up after the work was completed and took away all the packaging and old units and replaced any furniture that had been moved. We would thoroughly recommend them to any future customers.

I would highly recommend Bruce and his team, and they will be my "go to" for all future electrical work. He installed solar, batteries and an EV charger for me. The installation was excellent with a very high attention to detail and continuous dialogue to ensure they were meeting all my requirements. Post installation, I had several issues with the EV charger (none of these were due to the installation but issues and nuances with the MyEnergy products). Bruce and Andre stayed engaged throughout, working with MyEnergy to sort the issues out. At this point, it appears everything is working as expected, but I know if I call Bruce, he's there for me. Can't ask for more than that.

Bruce and Future Smart Electricals have recently completed a couple of ECIRs for me. Both were short notice requests and they were very accommodating. They gave reasonable quotations and kept me informed of the requirements for the testing, even their ETA on the day which was completely accurate and on time. Very much appreciated their emergency advice on a Sunday before bank holiday, and them coming out quickly to sort issue (solar inverter box had developed a fault and sounded like it was shorting out). Had Bruce round to install a Ohme Pro EV charger, service couldn’t be better. From my first inquiry Bruce’s response were prompt and very helpful explaining everything that I needed, and keeping me up to date with everything being delivered so the work wouldn’t be delayed. Arrived on the day on time and carried out the work to a very high standard, installing the charger where I wanted it a leaving everything clean tidy and working perfectly. Fast forward a few months an noticed my charger was only working at half power, messaged Bruce on the off chance he may be able to help or point me in the right direction but in less then 5 minutes he’d called back to help me resolve the problem. Turned out to be my own fault, but couldn’t thank Bruce enough, not to mention it was early morning on a bank holiday! Fantastic service highly recommend.

Service was excellent and I would recommend them and use them again. I phoned Future Smart Electrical & Renewables again today because the cooker socket was getting hot on the outside. Bruce came round and opened the socket up and a wire had come loose and it had damaged the inside of the socket. Luckily Bruce had bought a replacement socket round which was good of him and replaced it now it is all working great so glad to have my cooker working again.

I had 2 different electricians come over to attempt the installation of an electric storage heater in a flat. The first one installed it wrongly and left 6 bricks out. The second electrician installed all the bricks correctly, but couldn't make it work - and when they came on a second time to check it they said it was a manufacturing fault, SMH. Bruce from Future Smart aced the installation. They went the extra mile and took time to understand the problem and ensured that everything worked before they left. I could tell that he knew what he was talking about, from the "Economy 7" system to the workings of the storage heater system. He was highly professional and answered all my questions. I really appreciated his attention to detail and his willingness to go above and beyond. Taking it as far as calling the manufacturers to clarify that the decisions they were making were sound. They left the site clean and tidy and even gave us some tips on how to look after the heater. We will definitely be using them again in the future, highly recommended!

All work was completed on the day to a high standard, this even included some further work I asked for that was not planned for in advance. We used Future Smart services to produce a safety and installation report into the electrics and wiring of a house we're intending to renovate. We feel really fortunate to have been able to find Bruce, who came in to carry out the checks just a couple of days after our first inquiry. Bruce & Spencer really got me out of a hole. Having paid someone else to install some sockets at my mums house (whilst she was in hospital), the works were not to the standard I had expected. Alarm bells rang. I asked Future Smart Electrics to check the work for me and remedy anything found. So pleased I did. All of the works needed some changes to bring them up to standard. Bruce & Spencer worked really hard to sort out the problems, they explain everything, show you what they are doing, are never pushy, give options, and are very tidy too. We had Bruce from smart electrical and renewable come and replace an inverter for our solar system, Bruce and his team done a great job quick and efficient and finished within 4hours very pleased with the outcome would recommend them and will use them again when needed

I contacted Bruce on Saturday, late afternoon, having had my kitchen circuit start tripping continually. Bruce initially provided some sage advice over the phone, and after not solving the issue, came around on Sunday morning. Bruce was very professional and is a thoroughly nice chap too. He worked diligently to locate the issue, and having spent a fair chunk of time navigating the work of other electricians to locate the issue, managed to partially secure the circuit, getting some appliances back in play, with further investigations to be completed. From my experience so far, I would thoroughly recommend Bruce and Future Smart Electrical & Renewables, and I've already asked him to quote for another potential project. A+ 👍

Had a kitchen electrical crisis. Rang these guys who said be there ASAP. They arrived promptly and resolved problem effectively. Excellent service.

Had a power outage at 11pm on a Saturday night (street lights were still on and neighbours still had lights on[found out tgey have solar storage unit] ). Was advised by UK Power Network that there was not any local issue, so to reset my trip switches. Tried this a few times but nothing happened. Waited 30 mins but nothing changed and no update on UK Power Networks website. Decided to call Future Smart Electrical and Bruce was here within 10 minutes. He checked systems but it was down to the power company supply. If only they were as efficient as Bruce by checking things out. I will definitely be using Future Snart Electrical again.

We were having some kitchen work done and needed our old fuseboard moved. Bruce from Future Smart identified that our old units were ancient with no rcd protection, so not only did he move it which was great he also brought three little units into one rather better looking box and made it much easier for us to understand.
