I had a great experience with Simple Green Energy. The whole process was smooth and straightforward, and I’m already saving money with my solar panels. I’m very pleased with the service and would happily recommend them!

The loft insulation was completed in a timely manner and to a satisfactory standard but I noticed that after the installation team left my premises a bottle of my expensive aftershave that was halfway full up had gone missing from my bathroom. I raised this by telephone with a team leader at SGE and explained that due to the daily challenges that I face with OCD, I was entirely sure that I had not simply misplaced my item. The team leader that I spoke to was called Vishal, he was very polite and informed me that he had spoken to the team that visited my property and they all had assured him that nobody had accidently picked up my item upon completion of their work. The matter was closed with no goodwill gesture offered to me as unfortunately I had no proof. Due to this I now have cameras fitted in my flat but unfortunately I have lost all trust with ever dealing with this company ever again in the future. There is no option to post on here with ZERO stars hence why I clicked on one star. Thanks for reading.

Had loft insulation done, 2 extractor fans fitted one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom very cheap trashy fans doesnt seem like doing the job. The fan in the kitchen started making rattling noises after 3 weeks!! Got in contact with Simple green energy they didnt care, kept telling me we will send out someone to fix it! For past 6 months no one came!! Had to take this further and after complaining someone came out to check the fan, the ducting was not fitted properly!! Had an inspector came to inspect after the job was done of insulation, fans and trickle vents fitted in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room downstairs. According to the inspector the loft should have vents According to the regulations. So I got in contact again with SGE. They ignored it until today after chasing them as you dont need vents in the loft etc. I asked for the certificate and I was told will issue certificate once the vents are installed in the loft! I was told a month ago that someone will come to put the vents and no one came !! And the inspector also mentioned there was no need of 2 trickle vents in the bedroom one is enough, and no trickle vents was needed in the bathroom and kitchen as there is extractor fans. But they again ignored!! Its a scam!!! Avoid it at any cost!!

Do not use this company. Their organisation is woeful, the quality of work poor, communication not good. If they spent as much effort doing a good job as they do chasing payment, maybe a different story. There is NO DOUBT there is a discrepancy between those who try to deliver and the (uncontactable) management.an absolute shower.

The men came and did a great job of insulating my loft thy were very clean and tidied up after themselves thy were very polite and well mannered I would certainly recommend them great job well 👍

This company appears to be a scam. They collected all of my personal documents, including photos of my house and my bank statements, and it has now been more than seven months without any communication from them. They are no longer responding to my emails. It seems that they may be gathering documents from customers and then falsely claiming funds from the government for their own benefit.

I have had insulation and ventilation fitted by this company back in October but they will not install the new boiler I was promised to replace my 22 year old one. I think they are involved in some sort of scam. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I would have given these guys 5 stars as they were really polite, they cleaned and tidied after and did a good job. The only reason they got 4 is because they left all the old loft insulation outside in bin bags (which I provided) for me to dispose of.

Simple Green Energy contacted me following my application for a loft insulation grant. Within weeks of initial contact they had completed a thorough survey, fitted the government recommended depth of loft insulation, and additionally trickle vents on my double glazing and extract fans in my kitchen and bathroom. All free! I could hardly believe it. The only concern I had was the methods of contact were so varied it worried me that it could have been a scam. I did my checks, and obviously it was a legitimate service. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Otherwise, I can't fault the service.

The customer service is terrible. The women that dealt with my case just kept repeating herself and didn’t have the basic information to hand regarding information to the boiler grant scheme. I was told that I was eligible multiple times and was sent a form for my doctor to complete. I had to pay for this and when I sent it in they asked for me to go and get it stamped so I went back to my GP and got it stamped - again they told me it’ll all go through they just need this stamp. Then I waited a few more weeks and no one had gotten back in contact me so I called them for them to say sorry we got it wrong you’re actually not eligible and they refused to reimburse me. Had they done the correct checks I would’ve known from the start I wasn’t eligible and not paid out money they refuse to reimburse. The customer service team need training and lack knowledge.

From referral to completion took 3weeks. Can’t fault the lads who came out to do the work polite respectful of me and my home and not a speck of mess anywhere

I am still waiting for someone to come back and set the timer to suit us. It was installed 20 March 2025. At our ages we don't want the timer to drop to 15 degrees several times during the day. The switch on time needs to be set for 6am every day of the week not 8am. I have been able to set timer since. I recently phoned to say that the two metre exhaust pipe that is supposed to drain into the gutter was held by only one clip that is too low :wind has blown it out of the gutter and is dripping onto the drive. MY E MAILS HAVE BEEN IGNORED and a promise to come back was made May 2025. Finally E mail promising to put right problem 18 July did not happen. Still waiting for new date to be promised. The leader of the installation team Mr Singh put everything right on 29th July. I am now very satisfied.

I applied through EDF, I was sent a questionnaire, which was easy to complete. I was contacted, by Simply Green for a surveyor to come and assess our property, the assessment took about one and half hours. 3 days later i received a report with the recommendations, I received a phone call to arrange for the work to be carried out. They arrived on time, and completed the work within 3 hours. They were friendly and polite, and were happy to answer any questions and for me to observe their work. They cleaned up after themselves, before they left. I completed the final paperwork on line with the assistance of their head office. who wer very helpful through the whole process. Thanks for a job well done.

Turned up on time. Work done ok but they did not relay the lifted boards. Phoned and requested this to be done and been fobbed off ever since. I'm too old to do it so very disappointed. JULY 2025 STILL NO RESPONSE! TOTALLY USELESS.

We had our cavity wall insulation installed by Simple Green, the process was simple and straightforward pretty much from start to finish, my only criticism was the original surveyor used a white filler to fill the drilled holes, but fortunately the installer redid them in a more suitable coloured filler.

Straight forward process, good job, very pleased.

I don’t even want to give them 1 star. Please do not get any service from this company. We had very bad experience with these people. They were good in answering the call but we didn’t get any outcome. Spend hours explaining the staff about the boiler breakdown but their so called engineers were busy all week and the staff could only give us false promises. Please please read the review before assigning them any job. Do not trust them. Installation went wrong. I doubt if they were qualified engineer’s. I hired a private engineer and he explained that it’s not installed properly.

After survey 4 weeks ago I've heard nothing

Avoid at all cost. Waste of time. This company looked professional before but they shocked me with result that my property is not eligible for grant. No report sent to me to make me understand why not eligible. A surveyor himself agreed my property need insulation. Very disappointed .

Waste of time, surveyor came, nice fella, checked everything he needed to for the government free insulation grant scheme, while he viewed inside of wall cavities with camera and took photographs I was stood by him out of curiosity to see if anything was in there, 1st wall cavity was front of house, turned camera 360 degrees and saw nothing in there at all, next 2 walls he drilled holes on each side of the corner,(semi detached house) turned camera 360 degrees showing minimal bit of old insulation from 20 yrs ago up against bottom corner of each wall, nothing in rest of cavity, when I called for update I was told I didn't qualify for wall cavity insulation as there's 58% insulation missing in the walls, there needs to be 67% missing (67%?),so due to a difference of 9% we can't get it done, when I queried how they came up with 58% I was told, it's a rough estimate from photographs taken, A 'rough estimate ' !!? You've got to laugh, needless to say I cancelled loft insulation and window vents installation as I'll be contacting another firm

Took insulation out of a customers loft rather than putting it in to claim a larger Grant,left it a mess and took 3 weeks to fit a boiler,stay clear,much more reputable company’s to choose from.would be 0 stars but unable to choose that.

I had them install my external insulation. It was a disaster from start to finish!! I now have cracks in the render and after sending them photos I was told “ it’s your house, your problem”. I am now having remedial work done by another company to put the many mistakes they made right. Please don’t use this company they are cowboys!

I can’t even give these one star. Scamming company. Won’t respond to emails, promise you things that never happen. Please don’t give them the time of day because if anything goes wrong with your installation, good luck trying to get a response.

O would be the right for them. They wasted my time- I applied for a grand - for a free boiler and a floor insulation. The surveyer came twice- twice about an hour late- made measurements and filled an application. The application went through, was approved and they sent two lads over. They broke a few panels and after that they said I would be too much hassle for them but somebody else from their company was to contact to do it for us. Nobody did. I called. Left messages no answer. No I have broken floor because I they said was no point to put it back properly as somebody will come over within a week. 2 months passed. I am very frustrated. Disappointed. Why they mess around and with people

Disgusting customer service, did not proper underfloor insulation did just one corner of the room insulation and show in picture did whole room. after three week wait time call to office said you have to pay bribe of £200 for free boiler. should be report to council they frauding to people.

I would have given zero stars if I could 2 lads turned up they ripped my floor boards carpet and skirting board up to put under floor insulation in I now have uneven and broken floor boards holes in my skirting and carpet that has just been put back I found my carpet grippers outside in a bin along with broken bits of floor board one floor board is completely snapped and now I have a dip in the floor cowboy work at its finest they say it's free but will cost you hundreds to put right what they have wrecked avoid avoid avoid at all costs shocking what they have done and no phone call to ask if you are happy with the work

Everything done withn 10 days - would have been 5 stars but lose stars because 1) first surveyor arrived early 2) 2nd surveyor arrived late 3) no real detail explaination of underfloor isluation work procedure 4) boiler installer inconveniently changed time at "last minute" 5) Boiler installer asked about thermostat settings , replied "i don't know"

Have had a very good experience using "Simple Green Energy" and would definitely recommend them. For myself the job process, from start to finish, was explained properly and all my concerns and questions were answered. After the initial survey we had two young lads come and complete the underfloor insulation. Initially, I had my concerns about this as was worried my carpet etc would get ruined. However, they were very tidy and efficient with their work and left my house exactly how it was to start off with. Two days later, I was booked in for my vents and extractor fan institution. The job was messy and Mr Singh (electrician) tried his utmost best to leave me as happy as possible. We had a few issues along the way but he was adamant to finish the job to a high standard regardless of the time it consumed. Lastly, I was booked in for my boiler insulation. Naveed (gas engineer) was very professional and tidy with his work. It took him approximately 5 hours to fit my boiler. He answered all my technical questions along the way and left the house to a very clean standard when finished. Credit has to be given where it is due. The whole process was very simple, fast and efficient. I cannot fault the team. A big thank you to all the workers at the company for keeping me informed along the journey. Lastly, big shout out to Dhanyal (manager). He was very friendly and approachable. He ensured all aspects of my job were completed to a high standard and rang me on numerous occasions to ensure I was happy with the process. That being said the team are very efficient and professional, the entire process was completed within 10 days.

To start; the boiler replacement team was pretty good, straight forward job, out with the old and in with the new, seemed in a rush but still a decent job. Under floor insulation, the one chap was very good - worked hard getting under the floor boards, the other one hardly did anything. He didn't even screw in the floor boards at the end, and the mess! No dust sheets, the whole house was left a real building site. The worst of it was the installation (or non-installation) of the kitchen fan and window vents. So the lad who did the window vents got every one of them wrong and had to redo them, yes every single one! And the one who ruined my kitchen ceiling installing the kitchen fan had no qualifications, but was still trying to install the electrical fan, which he didn't finish. He left a hole in the wall and the ceiling, and a live wire just hanging down. It's been a week and I've heard nothing of it or when the work will be completed. To be honest I wouldn't let them in. I have a background in electronics so was able to isolate the wire and remove it. My advice is to avoid this company as there must be better companies out there who do this kind of work properly. In my experience the people who come out to do the work are not professional tradesmen and the company just hires them so they can continue claiming from the government grant scheme. My worry is if they do this kind of work in elderly or vulnerable people's properties, it would be a real health and safety issue, not to mention the potential damage to the property. I'm look into highlighting the companies negligence to the correct authorities. I've had to take time off work to rectify the work, not to mention the stress.

i am very impressed by this company, they recently installed my boiler and also fitted in the underfloor insulation, they installed everything within 14 days, the fastest service i have ever recieved. i spoke to two lovely ladies shayyane and gurvin, they helped me alot in booking me in for a survey and gave a lot information which was helpful. i absolutely would recommend every one to have their boiler installed by this comapny, i am very happy, 5 stars is not enough, they need more than that.

Had my mums boiler and underfloor insulated for free by this company. I was wary at first as I didn't want to cause any unnecessary hassle as this was the first time going through a government grant. I expressed my concerns once I had been approved and they couldn't have been more accommodating! They sent over a team of installers that moved around the items that my mum couldn't and even worked around the large items that couldn't be taken out of the room. The installers were very friendly and professional and left the property exactly how it was. The fitting of the boiler went seamlessly too and I have passed the company details over to my sister due to their great workmanship.

Please do not touch this business. Signed up my 93yrs old father for a new free boiler and underfloor insulation. Did the survey and confirmed there was nothing to pay. The first installed the underfloor heating and then said they had made a mistake on the boiler survey and he would need to pay £100 towards the costs. This is a government scheme. Unfortunately as they had started with the insulation we could not get the work done by any other company in the scheme and he had no choice but to pay.. This was January 2021. In July 2021 there was a fault showing on the boiler. I called them only to be told they only provide a one month guarantee and I would need to contact the manufacturer. I intend to report to both trading standards and contact my MP as the government should not be facilitating these crooks . Again the scheme is good but not this company Steer we’ll clear of them

Worst company going to work for and to have a boiler installed by. STAY AWAY, witnessed first hand how dodgy the practices are threatening staff to sign on behalf of customers or loosing there jobs. Bodged jobs in customers houses. Awful.

Ruined of floor boards - cracked and nailed through with large unsightly nails on our vintage flooring which now needs replacing - YEARS of history lost. No show from engineer to install a boiler - no response from office 20 calls and 2 days later. Will now have to escalate to the scheme provider.

STAY WELL CLEAR... WASTE OF TIME I HAD A INSPECTION TODAY 2 GUYS TURNED UP IN PANDEMIC IN THE PEAK OF COVID-19.... AFTER LOOKING AROUND... THE CHEEK TO ASK FOR £900 CONTRIBUTION .... ON THE LEAFLET SAYS FREE BOILER WITH QUALIFYING BENEFITS.... WASTED MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really bad customer service and shoddy job. My father signed up to the free boiler and insulation scheme via the government grant. They fitted a boiler which was installed very poorly. Everytime it rains now there is water leaking from the boiler because it hasn’t been sealed properly from the outside Everytime I contact them no one wants to speak to me to resolve the issue! Definitely would not recommend!
