Joel recently completed a few electrical jobs for us, including fitting a double outdoor socket, installing some LED strip lighting, and adding a few indoor sockets. Joe's had done many upgrades on our house since we moved in 3 years ago. Outside lights, internal new sockets and Arial points. Moving switches and blanking off etc too much to mention. He is a professional yet friendly young man and very reasonably priced. Recently we had issues in a storm our electric kept tripping, I called him and he talked us through what to do (whilst out with his family) and got us working again. Joel fitted us a home network in a couple of our rooms. The work completed was excellent, very tidy and cleaned up the mess after drilling the holes, hid cables behind drain pipes where possible and great value for money. Highly recommended and don’t hesitate if you are looking to network Your house or need any electrics sorting out.

Joel has changed all of our old white electrical sockets and switches for stainless steel ones. He also replaced a wall mounted electric toothbrush charger. He was very transparent with the costs. He arrived on time and has done a fantastic job. He was really obliging with fitting the job in. He left no mess and cleaned up after himself and was very professional. We hired Joel on recommendation from an other tradesman. We where not disappointed. Joel quoted us for what we wanted doing, cooker socket from the main fuse board to a location in a cupboard next to the cooker. Joel also fitted a double socket under my desk and replaced a couple of double sockets above the worktop. Joel was friendly and cleaned up afterwards. I can highly recommend Joel for all your electrical work. % stars from me.

Joel installed our new electric cooker which involved creating a new circuit and isolator switch as the old oven was gas. He worked on a Bank Holiday was fitted in with our plans. He is clearly conscientious and takes pride in the work he does. He made sure to cause as little change to the stonework of the house. Thanks again for sorting the installation so quickly. Joel did a variety of jobs for us: installing light fittings, changing sockets, installing security cameras and so on. He came to see us, priced up for us and we agreed a day. On the day, almost everything turned out to be more complicated than we thought but Joel was calm, patient, cheerful and did a fantastic job. We’re delighted with the results and really grateful to Joel for sorting out all the little glitches and issues that arose. We’d thoroughly recommend him and we’ll definitely be asking him back to sort some more things out for us.

It was early evening (7.30pm) and we started having issues with our lights flickering and I could also hear something noisy coming from the electrical box under the stairs, almost sounding like it was sparking. I didn’t want to risk going to sleep with the issues going on, especially having 2 young children asleep upstairs without getting things checked out first. I didn’t really know what to do so I started enquiring with local electricians for an immediate call out, expecting an hefty call out fee too. I came across Joel by searching a thread on My Hoyland, I messaged him on WhatsApp and he answered straight back, happy to come out as I requested. I sent him a video of the issue so he had an idea of what was going on and although he advised he couldn’t help fix the issue directly, he advised us to contact northern power grid asap and explain the issue we were having and that they would come out to us and that it wouldn’t cost us anything. I contacted them and they were out within 45 minutes and had fixed the problem. The aluminium wiring had come extremely loose and that’s what was causing the issue. Joel was so helpful and happily assisted me even though he knew he wasn’t going to benefit financially from a call out etc, he really put me at ease and made a stressful situation so straight forward by giving me the information and pointing me in the right direction. I cannot thank you enough Joel for your guidance and help especially when it was out of normal working hours. I will always choose to come to you in the future should I require any assistance with electrics. A genuinely good guy - thank you.
