I have used ElectricBlu more times than I can count on numerous properties I've lived in. I trust them to check a property before I buy them. After receiving a very quick response to my initial enquiry James provided a good value quote for upgrading my 40-year old (!) consumer unit. He and Geoff arrived exactly when promised and worked non-stop to complete the work. We therefore had minimal disruption whilst the electrical supply was disconnected.. Available space for the new, larger, consumer unit was limited but they worked round this problem with no fuss at all. They also advised on dividing the existing circuits into a better configuration and completed the installation to a very high standard, also leaving everything neat and tidy. They were fully protected as appropriate in compliance with COVID-19 precautions - a very important safety consideration. ElectricBlu will be at the top of my list if I ever need any further electrical work doing. I highly recommend them.

If I could give less stars, I would. I called about a job, was put in touch with a contractor, had some back and forth and sent photos to get a quote, then completely blanked after chasing up for over a week. So I called again, was told they’d be back in touch and again, nobody got in touch with me. Absolutely terrible service.

I had a domestic EV charger installed and the work was completed efficiently and promptly saving money on the installation price quoted by the Manufacturer...and with all the same guarantees but the promise of better aftersales support should I need it. Used Wakefield based ElectricBlu late last year and again in January 22. Had fuse boxes x2, new double sockets, existing surface mounted sockets installed flush to the wall, surface mounted cables hidden, outdoor security light fitted and tv aerial socket fitted. James and his team came time and date agreed, completing the work and left all clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this company and definitely use again. MAY 2025. ElectricBlu Contractors have been working on our grade 2 listed Church building on a number of occasions now. James and his team have carried out a full electrical inspection and testing at the Church premises, replacing 5 distribution boards, replacing a switched fuse board, replacing socket outlets, as well as a number of other things. This work was all required as a result of the initial EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report). Any work by contractors is not easy in a building of this age. Every step the team have been sensitive and clarified each requirement face to face before commencing the work. The team have respected our Church as a place of worship and have fully complied with all current CV19 guidelines. The admin team of the company are amazing. You can ring out of hours and they will get back to you before they are due to start work. They are so polite, so conscientious but also so efficient working with the Church and diocese as there is lots of paper work and procedure to go through. They have been very thorough and worked alongside us getting the right paper work and documentation. Thank you to ElectricBlu.

I found them by looking in Facebook and was impressed by thier reviews and the quality of the work posted. I contacted them and received a prompt response. I wanted a single socket changing to a double and another double socket added in the room. As well as some old outdated security box/telephone box removing. They came in full PPE which is important in this current pandemic. They are extremely professional and understand what I wanted doing. As well as double checking after they had measured out to make sure im happy. I can definitely 100% recommend them, the price was great, the work is top quality and I will look forward to using them in the future 😀😀

I received a electrical cert report from my letting agency showing that my property had failed the test for electrical safety. The work required to pass the test came in at around 490 pounds. It seemed way to high so I mailed all the electrical contractors in the Wakefield area a copy of the failed report to see if they agreed. Only one came back and that was James. He actually replied the next day at 7am and I had only sent the report the night before which i thought was very responsive and professional. He went through every line of the recommendations by the original subcontractor tearing there findings to shreds. The quote of 490 I had received he said was a con and daylight robbery for the work they wanted to do. I mailed his finding back to my letting agency who immediately halved their quote. James came back with a better quote without knowing the new one from the other contractor. Suffice to say I wouldn't have trusted them anyway. Such a great service from start to finish from James and his team. If you want trustworthy electricians its quite simple you should use James. I am sure lots of Landlords in the Wakefield Leeds area are getting scammed due to unscrupulous letting agencies. If you are a Landlord in this area that has been quoted high fees to pass the Elect certificate I highly recommend you call James. He will save you a lot of money as he did me.

I contacted ElectricBlu, due to extortionate costs by a electrical company that my estate agent used for an EICR report. This seems to always be the case when legislation changes, some unscrupulous companies will try and use it to charge for work that is not required. I was pleased to find ElectricBlu, who helped me through their chat line on a Sunday of all days and I can now challenge the contractor that did the initial EICR test with confidence. We needed an electrician to do various jobs, the main job was a cooker installation, with additional jobs of replacing a toilet fan and two light fittings. I have needed to replace my old original fuse board for many years but had put it off fearing the upheaval and the cost. I recently had a worrying intermittent fault with the bathroom lighting and pull switch. Having read the reviews I sought a quote from Electricblu for this fault and a replacement fuse panel. James arrived promptly to give me a quote and explained what needed to be done. I was very happy and surprised with the quote and booked the job in, along with replacing the halogen spotlights in both the bathroom and kitchen. James and his colleague arrived punctually, both wore over shoes and used sheeting to protect the flooring. The work was carried out with no mess at all. Every plug socket in the house was checked and they replaced one that was faulty free of charge. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Electricblu.

Firstly, I just want to say how impressed I am with this company. I did not fully know what I needed from them due to not understanding what was needed from already having an old external previously fitted electrical box prior to me getting the property but they booked me in for a free quote and the owner James managed to fit me in a little earlier too which was a bonus around my busy work schedule. I found them very accommodating even though they had a busy schedule themselves and James knew exactly what I needed doing just from coming to see the property and discuss what I was after. He quoted and I was happy with the work to progress. He also got the next appointment in within no time at all. From start to finish I have nothing bad to say at all. Customer service is fantastic James has such a great team behind him making it easier for him to come out and work his magic. Even better to come out to fit me in at such short notice was even better. To come home from a busy day at work and see a complete job made my day. Plus he communicated in email exactly what he was to do and over a phone call asked my preferences on location of the external socket I am very satisfied with the end result and the fact he even fixed up an old existing problem with another unit and an issue with an old box. We had to recently use the services of ElectricBlu following a botched up smart meter installation by our energy provider. I decided to use a calling card and contacted James on a Saturday afternoon. He was incredibly polite and professional over the phone. He gave us his advise over the phone and advised us to contact him back, if there were any further problems. After having spoken to our energy provider, we were advised that we needed a safety check by a certified electrician as we had a live gas pipe! A further call to James later, he offered to come around in an hour. Right from the time, James and his colleague stepped in to our house, you couldn't help notice how professional they were. Despite advising them that it was alright to enter with their shoes, they insisted on wearing a shoe cover. I was very impressed. He performed all the checks and determined that there were no problems with a live gas pipe. He took plenty of photos and stayed till we were satisfied. This was later followed up with a very well worded report along with the photos he had taken early. If I ever need an electrician again, I won't think twice. Polite, professional, efficient and trustworthy!

Me & my partner employed the services of James & his team when searching for a local electrician. They completed a pre purchase electrical survey on our new house. Subject to their findings they also then rewired the house once we had completed the purchase, installed a new fuseboard, a number of extra outdoor lights and also installed power to our garage. I found them to be particularly trustworthy and polite when dealing with us, taking time to explain things rather than getting irritated for the questions we asked (quite a lot!) Would certainly use their services again and have also recommended them to our friends who needed an electrician.

Contacted James for a quote to fit a new double oven, change a shaver point and install a second external light, visited promptly and quote received was very clear, price good and communication polite. Job completed after some hiccups with communication, due to James having an accident he didn't arrive on agreed day and some updates were slow to arrive. When James eventually was able to come the job was well done, good attention to detail, polite and tidy. Very happy with the job, only 4 stars due to hiccups in communicating following his accident, would defiantly employ again.

James at ElectricBlu did a smashing job from start to finish. I had to pop home from work so he could inspect the work required and he arrived exactly on time, allowing me to get back to work with little disruption to my working day. The quote was received quickly and was costed fairly. It was a tricky task in that we needed to replace a cracked and faulty (fire risk) glass ceramic hob but access to the underneath of it was restricted, so James had to come up with an inventive way of getting in to remove the old unit and connect the new, properly and safely. On the day James and his colleague arrived promptly and had the job done in hardly any time at all leaving a nice shiny new hob and absolutely nothing else :-) A very reliable, fair, friendly and professional service and I would not hesitate to use them again for anything electrical and I am most happy to recommend them to others.

James provided a friendly and very efficient service, and I felt he went out of his way to ensure what he was fitting looked exactly how I wanted.

After a bit of a nightmare trying to get a new oven installed, I used ElectricBlu on 2 occasions to help with elements of the installation. The first was a new circuit breaker in my fuse box and the second was removing the sockets at the back of the oven and hard wiring it in. On both visits James turned up promptly at the agreed time and completed the work with a minimum of fuss. Before leaving he made sure to tidy up any mess before he left and his prices were reasonable.

ElectricBlu replaced our very old consumer unit, plus sockets. The old unit had little space above it due to pipes from a combination boiler. James solved the problem by fitting the new unit to a side wall, involving a lot of cable hidden in a very neat way. All the work was excellent, very reasonably priced, with options explained in detail. We would be very happy to employ ElectricBlu again, and to recommend them to anyone.

Spoke to James Friday morning as we needed a job completing that afternoon. He managed to squeeze us in at the last minute, completed the work to a high standard and sent photographs the next day. After this Electric Blu have become the main electrician we use for the area they cover. The work is high quality, they book in jobs quickly and they are reliable and always turn up when they say they will. By the end of this month (July) James will have completed seven jobs for us to a very high standard with him keeping his promise of providing the most detailed reports in Wakefield. He also explains electrical problems and solutions to you in a way that you can understand rather than with lots of jargon. We were also surprised to find that the cost for the works and customer service provided was fair. In summary we would highly recommend James to both private and commercial companies because of his outstanding professionalism, speed at which he sends paperwork and quality work at a fair price.
