CDS is the definition of excellent service. We had Tesla powerwall, solar and landlords electrical survey and fixes done. Every step of the way, we felt supported by back office, sales and the excellent engineers. Could not recommend this company more highly. Update: 2026, we continue to get excellent service from CDS - Chas is always so responsive, goes above and beyond. Matthew just came out to fix a mantere pump and was so swift and considerate. Everyone we work with here is a pro, but more importantly are customer centered.

I called CDS electrical last year as I had a flickering light fitting, the receptionist on the phone said someone would come out to “have a look” - NO mention of a call out charge or a quote, I assume they are coming to give me a quote. Two young men came round, the flickering had stopped by the time they got there but they spent maximum 15 minutes where one of them had a look and told me there was no issue, the other sat on my sofa and played with my dog, then they went on their way. Imagine my surprise when THREE months later, I receive an invoice for £160! With no breakdown of costs and saying they had carried out works. I obviously disputed this, they accepted that they shouldn’t have charged me for the second contractor present, reduced the amount but still attempting to charge me for no work done. They then proceeded to attempt to take me to court! Absolutely scandalous, and I truly believe it’s because I was a lone woman who they thought they could take advantage of and try to rip off. I have used numerous local contractors in the last year since moving house, and have never had such a negative experience or anyone be anything other than professional and honest, so it’s really a shame that a local business would behave like this.

Approach CDS Electrical regarding the installation of solar panels and battery. Corin carried out a thorough survey and provided us with several options. He was happy for me to view the products at his office, when I asked to see what the panels and fittings looked like. From accepting the quotation, within a few weeks the panels were fitted and up and running (just need some sunshine!). The installation team were very professional and friendly, as were all the admin staff in the office. Following switching energy supplier, Corin spent some time helping me navigate the AlphaSE App, which manages the solar panels and battery. Would recommend CDS Electrical for solar panel installation. The next step for us will be an EV charger, and will be getting CDS to instal, once we have decided which electric car to purchase.

We needed a new roof as it had reached the end of its life CDS came and removed our panels which would be affected leaving the others connected so that we could still generate some power. They stored our panels for us keeping them safe. Once the roofing was complete CDS returned the panels making sure everything was working as it should. Brilliant company, brilliant people. Highly recommended

From start to finish we cannot fault CDS. From the efficiency of Amy and the team in the office, Graham keeping a very perfectionist and knowledgeable eye on everything and Charlie, Harry & Alfie all electricians who were also very efficient and courteous. All members of staff were respectful to our home and us, were personable and we can't rate them and their work highly enough. From day one, Rob came around with no hard sell and told him what I wanted: storage heaters. He listened, said QM150RF for the lounge, it gives out more heat than you have at the moment, and the thermostat will keep it at that temperature, as you only have the front of the building is exposed to the outside. Plus if it could be a sup, temperature, you have an electric fire, but I do not think you will need it. For the bedroom side, a smaller one, a QM050RF. But I did a bit of measuring, and a QM070RF, but it fitted in the space cost a bit more, but I am glad I did, as it was about the width of the one that came out. I did have 2 other quotes, but both were a hard sell

I have used CDS Electrical on three occasions, having had air con installed and serviced… I can’t fault anything about the company, the engineering staff are all very professional, friendly, respect your property, and are really clean and tidy. The office staff can’t do enough to help you, from the initial quote to installation you are kept updated with what will happen, and when. If you have any installation or technical queries someone always gets back to you and puts your mind at rest… I also have to give Amy, the office manager a mention, she is genuinely fantastic, sorts anything out for you, she is truly an asset to CDS.

CDS are an incredibly good company, I’ve used them multiple times for internal and external electrical work at my house and I can’t praise them enough, - they have amazing service, are prompt, professional and have excellent engineers and workmanship. Nothing is too difficult, too big or small and they finish their work very neatly. Their office are great, very responsive, and competitively priced. I couldn’t praise them highly enough and would recommend CDS to anyone.

CDS Electrical fitted a new ceiling extractor fan in my bathroom, replaced a faulty external PIR sensor and fitted a new shaver light. Very pleased with the work done. Excellent communication with the company no hesitation in recommending the company for your electrical work.

I recently acquired CDS services to supply and install a full AC system for Bedrooms in our house. The quote was promptly done and thoroughly explained , we then proceeded to order. A date was set , the installation team were on time and efficient throughout , very courteous and tidy from start to finish. Highly recommended and will use again for certain.

From the management team to the engineers, everything has been handled efficiently and professionally. I have trusted to leave the engineers to carry out works within my home when I’m not there, and they have been polite, very knowledgeable and tidy in their tasks. We highly recommend this company. CDS Electrical installed a Tesla Powerwall battery with whole home backup a month ago and were also able to sort out a problem with our PV inverter left by a previous company, at no extra charge. From our first point of contact with the office through the initial visit, the installation and the after-sales service we have been extremely impressed by everyone in the company. They were all helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. The installation was done quickly and the cost was less than other quotes we had received. Everything is working beautifully and the whole home backup facility is a life saver. (We live rurally and get a lot of power cuts - three in the last month - but we no longer have to worry so much about these.) Many thanks to Corin and the team.

£927.95 bill for a disabled family in sheltered accommodation! £801.95 (repairs) what exactly did you repair? + £126.00 what for? (service contract). I will be contacting my landlord and questioning what exactly you repaired! Then I will be going to trading standards.

We used CDS for our solar installation. The system has now been in a couple of months so we have had a chance to get used to it. Our experience with CDS has been positive all the way, yes we had to wait for product availability as we ordered when many items were in short supply but I think it was worth the wait to get CDS to do the work. Don't rush a big project. 5.5kW solar array, Tesla battery, Zappi EV charger, Eddi hot water heating along with all the controls, so the whole system. All working very well and they co-ordinated scaffolding and roof work well. When an extra CT clamp was needed they came and fitted it no hassle when I asked. Our electric car came much sooner than expected so they came and fitted the EV charging point in advance of all the other equipment at relatively short notice - thank you. I would summarise as quality equipment, helpful office staff, good fitters on site and in general a good reliable local company.

I used CDS to install solar panels and all associated equipment including Tesla Powerwall battery storage. I am very happy with the quality of the work and the overall system performance, I would recommend them to anyone considering solar energy.

The team at CDS understood what I needed from an Electric car charger and recommended the right unit. The installation was quick and the installer was knowledgable and friendly. When a small plastic piece on the holder failed a few days after installation it was replaced quickly without any fuss. The app was easy to install and the charger itself performs well at 7.3KW. A excellent experience with CDS and I will recommend to a friend who has just bought a new EV.

Poor driving standards. LR 65 KHB 09.06.22 junction of Brodrick Road and Brassey Avenue approx 07:15hrs. Overtaking a cyclist at the junction and cutting the corner squeezing the cyclist into the kerb and so close that said cyclist thumped on the side of the van. The van then pulled up to the queue of traffic waiting at the level crossing where the cyclist caught up with him. Had the cyclist had recording equipment the van would have been reported to the police for dangerous driving. By the way, did you seriously write yourself a 5star review six years ago as per your reviews?

So pleased with my new air conditioning systems that were fitted to our new offices by CDS Electrical this week, the guys were clean, polite and very professional. They did a really nice and tidy job and thorough commissioning, testing and walk through afterwards. CDS did fit my 1st air conditioning at my home office 6 years ago and that one is still going strong also. I'd definingly recommend speaking with CDS Electrical if you are considering air-conditioning for home or work.
