As a total EV novice I was quite nervous about getting the ball rolling with a charger installation. I decided to deal with Cox Electrical Services based on their swift response to my initial enquiry. I had lots of questions and these were answered perfectly by Gerald Cox the proprietor who explained the whole process simply and gave me some excellent recommendations regarding different makes of chargers, tariffs and features. I sent Gerald some images of my house and from this he was able to give me a quote which I accepted. On the agreed day Jamie arrived and carried out the installation exactly as agreed, an extremely neat job with the cable hidden beneath our kitchen cabinets. Importantly the installation included surge protection so the house electrics were protected against any issues while the car was charging. Jamie did a great job, worked really hard all day with minimal noise or disruption and cleaned up afterwards and he is a credit to the company. To sum up, these days it’s really hard to find truly professional, friendly tradespeople but I would not hesitate to recommend Cox Electrical Services. They are superb.

We contacted Cox Electrical for a quotation to connect electrics to our Summerhouse and put in fixtures and fittings. A time and date was promptly arranged and a competitive quote was given. During the inspection Gerald was friendly and professional, giving us ideas which were helpful, and we decides to go ahead as we were confident to do so that the work would be done properly. A date for the job was agreed and on the day Jamie arrived on time and carried out the work, he was excellent and we were very pleased with the end result. We would definitely use Cox Electrical again and would 100% recommend them.

I would highly recommend Gerald and his team. We had our kitchen lighting changed, under-cabinet lighting installed, new sockets configured for the kitchen and our heating control system upgraded. The finished work is all excellent, as has been the communication along the way. Gerald and Jamie were really conscientious and easy to work with; everything was always left clean and tidy. Guy from this company came out and completed fitting an RCD unit to replace an older fuse box and to fit an outdoor socket a job that was meant to last two days but completed in one. During the booking Gerald always kept me upto date if dates needed to be rearranged for the fitting and the works were done at a competitive price. Cox’s Electrical Services have been our electricians over the past 10 years, helping us in three different properties. I would not hesitate to recommend all of the staff.
