Heat-pump installation April 2026: we found Elite to be helpful and flexible, being willing to address our concerns about minimising disruption and mess (also adjusting timing after a family bereavement). Michael Frickey was an understanding and friendly project manager, for example regarding keeping a cupboard and header tank. Max was a diligent lead installer, aided by Freddy - a tight space in the bathroom for the tank, and successfully fitting the pump at first-floor level. Electrician Luke and his team also did a neat job in a narrow space round the consumer unit, and gave useful advice on our cooker main. Documentation thorough, understandably taking some time to assemble. Overall a positive experience, and the heat-pump is working well to date.
In mid-2023, Elite installed my GivEnergy inverter and 19kWh battery bank in an unventilated timber loft. The manufacturer’s official manual explicitly mandates that the ambient room temperature must remain strictly below 40°C for optimal inverter operation, with ambient temperatures over 45°C resulting in automatic power derating (throttling). The optimal battery cell temperature for standard lifecycle metrics is also specified as 25°C. My unventilated loft temperature routinely reaches 34°C during only mild weather (hitting this when it is just 19°C outside) and climbs close to 50°C on hot summer days. Under these conditions, my battery cell temperatures frequently reach 45°C+, far beyond the optimal 25°C, while the internal inverter temperature permanently hovers between 60°C and 75°C during active daytime hours—consistently running the power electronics under severe thermal stress. Furthermore, the manual mandates a minimum of 60cm of clear space above the unit to allow convective cooling for this fanless, naturally cooled system. Elite ignored this safety and operational instruction, installing the unit with only 40cm of top clearance. Trapping this hardware in a hot, cramped roof void means it cannot shed heat. The system is forced into active thermal throttling, and the intense heat permanently degrades the expensive battery cells on sunny days, accelerating capacity fade. Elite is now attempting to evade professional liability by claiming I "agreed" to the loft layout, and arguing that guidelines did not explicitly ban loft placements at the time. However, under MCS MIS 3012, they hold sole technical design authority and cannot contract out of their duty of care by installing equipment in physical and environmental conditions that directly violate the manufacturer's instructions. A formal technical non-conformance complaint is now active with the NICEIC. Do not trust this contractor to design or install your system safely. 17th July Update: Elite's response specifying that several options have been offered to resolve the issue is completely false. Elite have only offered only one path for rectification, by relocating the equipment out of the loft, and fully at my own cost.

Throughout the complete refurbishment of our Chelsea mews house, we worked with a large number of contractors and specialist subcontractors. Some were excellent, some unfortunately were not. Elite Renewables—and, in particular, Elliot and his team—were unquestionably among the very best professionals we encountered throughout the entire project. Rarely have I come across a business, in construction or any other industry, whose professionalism, commitment and genuine desire to help are as evident as they are at Elite. Elliot was exceptional from beginning to end. He was always available when we needed advice, often responding to messages far beyond normal working hours whenever unexpected issues arose on site. More importantly, he never approached problems with excuses—only solutions. On a complex refurbishment, unforeseen challenges are inevitable. What distinguishes great companies is how they respond to those challenges, and Elliot consistently demonstrated remarkable calm, technical expertise and an unwavering determination to find the best solution. On more than one occasion, he also helped resolve issues created by other trades, despite them being entirely outside Elite's scope. His leadership is reflected throughout the entire company. James was outstanding. Exceptionally knowledgeable, technically excellent and unfailingly positive, he became someone not only we trusted completely, but whom the other contractors on site also respected. Whatever challenge arose, James approached it with professionalism and a smile. Danny also deserves special recognition. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, he spent several freezing mornings waiting outside our house while issues created by other trades were resolved before Elite could continue their work. Despite the frustration this inevitably caused, there was never a complaint directed towards us—only understanding, patience and genuine empathy. Elite also works with outstanding specialist partners. Ian Constant demonstrated exactly the same pride and integrity when inspecting the site. Rather than accepting work that fell below the required standard, he insisted that the self-levelling screed be redone before allowing the underfloor heating installation to proceed. It would undoubtedly have been easier to continue, but he chose to protect the quality of the finished system and, ultimately, our interests as clients. What impressed us most is that every member of the team genuinely cared about achieving the best possible outcome rather than simply completing their own scope of work. From a technical perspective, Elite achieved something that several other M&E companies had previously told us was impossible. Our house had extremely challenging planning constraints, requiring the air source heat pump to be concealed within a very small louvred enclosure in the mansard roof while still delivering both heating and cooling throughout the property. Multiple companies told us we would have to compromise and choose one or the other. Elite designed and delivered a complete heating and cooling solution that worked beautifully within those constraints. They also managed the BUS application seamlessly, giving us confidence throughout the entire process. The system performs brilliantly, but what we value even more is the professionalism, integrity and genuine care shown by every single person at Elite Renewables. In an industry where good contractors can be difficult to find, Elite stands out as a company built around people who take enormous pride in their work and genuinely care about their clients. Excellent install. Very few complications along the way for quite an involved, if small project. Every one of the team was a pleasure to work with and they went out of their way on a number of occasions to deliver a quality job. Everything is working well and we're already seeing the benefits to the environment in the house and in our pockets.
I contracted for Heat pump with MVHR and AC and the process has been so unbelievably painful, its as if they don't want my business. Trying to get the team onsite is almost impossible and I absolutely would not recommend them.
Elite Renewables retro fitted solar panels and a Sigenergy battery into my newly refurbished home. The cable runs were trickery to achieve in order to have no redecoration. I had two companies in to solve the cable runs but only Elite took time to find a solution and it now looks as if the whole system has been there from the start. No making good at all. I am delighted with how the solar and battery are working and know it will pay back. They have been accessible, professional and easy to deal with throughout. From the advice on the system to the fitting, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We undertook an assessment as part of our renovation planning. It turned out our boiler was sufficient as a heating system and had 10+ years of like left, so we didn’t persue a heating system pump in the end. However, I would like to say how professional and helpful Zahi was on the day of the assessment and Nina has been throughout the process. The team literally bent over backwards to answer every question. When our boiler does need to be replaced, we will contact elite renewables again.
Elite installed solar panels and a battery in our Victorian terraced property. They organised everything, including the scaffolding. All the people who came were extremely professional, friendly and respectful. The installation took 3 days and involved a minimum of disruption. The team leader, Ben, was super helpful and indicated that he would continue to monitor the system afterwards in case there were any glitches. Nina, who looked after things back at their base was very responsive and helpful.
Worked with us at our pace to get the design just right for a new heating system based on an air-source heat pump, that would work in our late Victorian terraced house. They took account of the available technology and the constraints of our existing plumbing, and came up with a comprehensive solution. The installation was completed within a week and the results are fantastic. The house is really warm and the hot water supply is better than it has ever been. We have just had a 3kW solar system installed by Elite. The work was done well and in a considerate manner. Everything internal was done very neatly. At the design stage, we knew what we wanted, and the designer came to see us to discuss it in detail. There were several iterations to the process and the design is now just what we wanted. We are pleased with the performance of the system.
Had a large'ish solar + battery installation. Elite have an engineer to assess requirements, not a salesman. Mark knew what he was talking about. The Ops manager Luke was on hand throughout the installation even on the roof getting involved in practical aspects. The lead electrical engineer Reece came up with solutions when issues came to light. The entire team were efficient and responsive. It's always tricky getting the right team for large projects. Ultimately it comes down to a combo of research and luck. I was fortunate. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the folks at Elite.
Elite first installed an MVHR system for us - they planned out the ducting with us and were very flexible in coordinating with 2 sets of builders to complete the work. As we were very happy with the work we then used them to plan and install solar panels. Again they worked with us to get to a final design and installed it quickly with no fuss once the equipment was available. We've been very happy with all aspects of their work.

I went with Elite renewables as I we’d be eligible for the grants and take care of the paperwork. They did not and after 2 years we’re still have not been able to get nor had any assistance from them. Work was not completed in time, pipes leaked and battled to get engineers back again!

Apart from the initial delay in getting the project into the Elite renewables scheduling, and agreeing specifications required, which was slow, we found the company easy and friendly to work with. They worked to find solutions and onsite were tidy and considerate. Responded to queries and concerns. Overall was very happy with the service and installation.

Avoid at all costs. They just want to take your money. I asked if they were familiar with rain water systems to be told and emailed yes. The engineer arrived and after fiddling around for half an hour asked to see the manual!!! I was charged over £100 for half an hour only to be in the same position as before ... my toilets are still not working. Go ahead if you want to pay a lot of money for nothing.
