Very happy with my heat pump, solar pannels and battery. Just using a simple export tariff we have finished May being owed £36 from our utilities company! Keeping this up through Summer with a relatively modest direct debit should massively help us to offset any winter costs!

We requested a quote on the website after a recommendation from chatgpt. Steve contacted me the following day and we had a chat on the phone. A few days later we had a quote . Well various quotes as Steve was kind enough to offer a few alternatives. Helpfully with notes about the pros and cons of each option. We then had a bit of to and from on email before Steve called round and we had a chat about options. At no point did I feel under any pressure. We did get another quote from another company which I had to chase for many times. Artimus were slightly cheaper. We placed an order and were delighted when we were booked in the following week as they had a window. The two lads arrived on time , the equipment had already been delivered. The job was completed by mid afternoon. I wasn't there but my wife said they were polite , helpful and everything was cleaned up and removed. A few days later Steve popped round and did some final checks and made sure we understood how everything worked. As he was leaving he made a point of saying just ring if there are any problems. If you need batteries or solar I would recommend getting a quote from this company. What a difference it has made already having the batteries. The sun is shining and our only electric bill at the moment is the standing charge.

We had an EV charger installed and needed it to be compatible with future projects (solar etc). Excellent experience from start to finish. A quotation came quickly and we didn’t have to wait long for installation. Everything was done efficiently with excellent attention to detail. A very easy experience for us. Highly recommended!!

Came out over the holidays when my heating failed. Fixed the problem at a price well below my expectations. Having problems with my debit card which can't be sorted until the holidays over: no problem to this company who did the work with a promise of delayed payment because I was cold and disabled, and contacted me the following day to check all was well. Updated review: We recently added an extra air conditioning unit to our home. Originally, we only thought about getting air conditioning for cooling in the summer (which is brilliant by the way), but the fact they can also be used for heating has become their main use for us. Our boiler runs on oil and using the air conditioning has more than halved our oil use – much more environmentally friendly. We have a home battery system, which means the electricity used to run the air conditioning during the day is much cheaper than oil, saving us a bit of money as a bonus. Original Review July 2024: System: Panasonic; 2 in-ceiling air-con units, 1 wall mounted air-con unit, outdoor air source heat pump. The system was installed over four days in May. Didn’t make too much mess in the house – less than we were expecting. Ceiling units were installed upstairs with the wall unit downstairs. One word of warning here – the wall unit required cutting out the coving above it. Luckily, we plan to redecorate the room soon, but if you don’t then plan for some tidy up work. The ceiling units went in cleanly, with barely any touch up required afterwards. The outdoor unit was an industrial looking beast (I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of them) and there was quite a lot of pipework up the house to get to the attic. However, most of this was hidden away in ducting (looks a lot like an extra drainpipe going up the house). In the end it all looked very neat, and we have soon got used to having this unit in the garden. Unfortunately, after we had paid, we soon found some problems with the units, particularly when running in cooling mode. This is where Steve really proved his worth. He came back on several occasions trying to diagnose and fix the system and with the help of Panasonic’s support team was able to do just that. What about the performance? Well, it’s probably a bit early to be sure, but our initial impressions are very positive. One of the reasons for deciding to get the system was that it can be used for heating. We hope to significantly reduce our oil usage during the winter. We’ve had quite a few cold nights since it was installed, and the system was quickly able to heat the house up using one to one and a half kW draw of electricity. Once warm it maintained the temperature using barely anything, with an occasional spike in usage for a short period. It is hard to estimate our increased usage because it is so small, but I reckon it was around and extra 2-3 kWh for the day. Not sure what this will translate to when using it in winter, but my impression is that it will be substantially cheaper than using oil. As for cooling, we’ve had a few days now where it has been hot outside – up to 30°C on one day. The system was amazing, so much so that we kept checking the outside temperature to see if it really was hot. While our friends were complaining how hot it was, our house maintained a nice 22°C which was where we like it. Again, it’s hard to say how much electricity this used, but it was no more than 5 kWh and probably a lot less. Mr & Mrs Baldwin

The installation went well and the attention to detail was perfect as I'm a very pernickety person. Oct 2025 We attended a good explanation by Steve of the work done for the major installation of 70 plus solar panels as well as heat pumps and air conditioning for our friends at New Life Church in Market Rasen. We had been thinking for some time about having battery storage added to our own 10 year old solar panel system and this company seemed to be the one to deliver. Steve did a thorough preliminary survey ready to prepare a quote, unlike some other companies which gave the impression that a few photos from us and some information would be an adequate basis for a quote. He is that unusual combination of having both the detailed knowledge of the product he is selling as well as the technical expertise to weigh up the best way to do the job. In both he shared his expertise answering my many questions with patience and some jest. He resolved problems with weak wireless signals, suggesting more than one alternative, brought my garage consumer unit up to standard and worked beyond normal hours to track down problems in my house consumer unit involving a failed RCD and still made time to demonstrate the software giving us confidence to use it before going home. Considering that ours was a small job we felt that he gave us as much attention as one would expect on a job worth far more and we thank him for that.

I decided to install batteries so I could use cheap overnight electricity during the day. The first 2 companies I tried really had no idea what they were talking about despite being specialists. I came across Artimus online and started talking to Steve, who clearly knew his stuff. I agreed on an 80KW system which is quite big for a house and Steve installed it very quickly and professionally. It is a great piece of kit and has reduced my electricity bills by almost two thirds. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again.

I had solar panels and a storage battery fitted by Artimus in 2023 Excellent, neat installation with good tidy cable runs displaying a high standard of workmanship. Steve the M.D. is a highly competent engineer who willingly shares his knowledge. I have experienced a few minor problems caused by Broadband suppliers. Steve has always been happy to help and has done so without hesitation. The service I have received from Artimus has been to a very high standard and very customer friendly.

This is the second time i have used Artimus to do work for me the work was completed in a good time frame very professionally with all rubbish being taken away the my home was left clean all members of the company are professional as I said but also willing to stop and discuss any concerns or questions you have it is vert rare to find a company ware all the members are genuine people person always to go the extra mile to make sure that you are 100% happy with the job I would recommend them to anyone looking for a excellent company.

I found all employees of artimus to have a good work ethic , down to earth and easy to talk to. I found it unusual to find good trades people to actually follow up and do what they said they would. Because they covered all the trades I required it ment we didn’t have a load of different people in the house that you didn’t know and didn’t trust. Over 3 years Steve and Matt have fitted me an AC coupled battery (to add to existing solar) and a recent car charger. They turned up when they said and fitted them in a professional manner. They were both polite and tidy in their work. Both items had minor teething problems getting them to recognise 3rd party equipment but Steve and Matt continued their support to resolve these issues. I have had trouble free use since which confirms they know their stuff. Thank you both.

When quote obtained and during pre installation discussions both my wife and me immediately felt Steve was trustworthy and honest, giving sound advice and recommendations. We did not feel the same way about other contractors who quoted us. Ours was not a straightforward job due to the age of our property and various plumbing alterations made over the years. Steve was very knowledgeable, most patient and accommodating in resolving the issues as they arose. To us it was a big job, 2 heat pumps on the main house, 1 heat pump for annex and the fitting of a solar power array with batteries to store the generated electricity to mitigate the fact we needed 2 heat pumps. The team arrived promptly every morning and worked flat out, were very respectful and tidied up after themselves. Absolutely delighted with the quality of the work they did and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

All workers worked hard every day and got the installation of our air heating pump done in four days. They were all trustworthy, friendly and really knew what they were doing. We can recommend them wholeheartedly.

We’d just moved into a property about an hour away from Steve at Artimus, our Samsung ASHP died, and the local ‘renewables’ company were worse than useless when it came to helping. I found Artimus via the Samsung-approved list of installers and gave him a call. We went through the issues/error codes, and he said he’d pop by that week when he was in the area to see if there was anything that could be done – given that the unit was 12 years old. Sadly, it was beyond trying to save as it would have been throwing good money after bad. We sourced a replacement ASHP ourselves, and Steve managed to fit us in around his busy schedule to get our heating working again in what were the depths of winter. Steve says it like it is and explains everything as plainly and easily as possible so even the complex is understandable. He’ll give advice rather than ‘sell’ and help you out as much as he can within a strict budget. I trust Steve and his advice, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

I spoke to Steve (Artimus Renewables) several months ago regarding heating installation at my mid-terrace property and the work has been carried out recently at the agreed time. I opted for air-source heat pump option in an attempt to be environmentally friendly and with the government grant available for renewables, Artimus realistic pricing was favourable over gas. The job incorportated full central heating installation (from scratch) of air-source heat pump, tank, pipes and radiators, along with insulation of 4 internal walls. Whilst the work took a little longer to complete than estimated, Steve has been reliable and trustworthy, communicating clearly throughout the whole process and everything has been completed to a high standard. I would recommend Artimus to anyone wanting similar work done

After contacting a nationwide brand to enquire about Solar PV installation, I then contacted a local firm Artimus for a second quote. Dealing with Artimus felt like a much more personal experience. They were always happy to answer any of my questions that I had. I felt that they were able to install the system I was looking for rather than what the other company wanted to give me. Their quote was competative and ultimately I decided I wanted to support a local bussiness. They kepy me updated with progress and installed exactly when they said they would. The team were efficient, tidy and polite. Additionally, their post installation support has been excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic customer service, was in a really difficult situation with previous heating system and Steve and his company supported us through it. Great knowledge with Steve’s engineering background, it’s rare you can find a heat pump engineer with both plumbing and electric skills and makes things so much easier dealing with one person. Always contactable and honest person, this so somebody you can put your trust in. It’s been a few weeks since install now, and I can already tell the new heat pump equipment is cheaper to run, reducing my energy bills. We contacted Artimus to design and install a solar panel system with battery storage and an EV charger. We wanted something that would, as much as possible, power the house and run an EV. Our roof orientation is not ideal for solar panels and this was made clear to us, but after a long discussion about the different options available they designed a system that would meet our needs. We have probably been Artimus' worst customer, as the system design has evolved as we've gone along! What we have now is a solar array feeding a battery. Once the battery is fully charged any excess produced by the panels is diverted to heat water and then to the EV charger, so that as little as possible is exported back to the grid. There is also a system in place so that in the event of a power cut, the battery will take over supply of certain essential circuits, so that we are not entirely without power. All in all it's a complex system and has exceeded my expectations. Artimus have completed all the work with minimal disruption and been very clean and tidy. All the work has been completed to a very high standard and is certified to all the relevant industry standards. Artimus have also been available to resolve any issues and give us advice. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Follow up: It's now mid May. We've had the system up and running for a few months and are obviously getting more sunny days. It is honestly, amazing. It fully runs the house during the day and the battery is fully charged, often by as early as 9am. The battery then runs the house all night. The excess solar after this provides pretty much limitless free hot water and charges the car too. I haven't charged the car on mains for over two months and don't expect to, until about September. Beyond that we are still exporting some power to grid and the export payments we will get from that I expect to more or less pay for the running the car through the winter. Our current grid use is only about 20p per day! We are very, very happy with it. Follow up 2: Had a very short power cut today so the essential circuits system has been tested in anger for the first time. The good news is that as designed, the battery took over running certain parts of the ring. 😁

He was always prompt and polite with his communications. Although we are not local to Steve, his prices were highly competitive to our local market and he was happy to travel. The work was done professionally and to a very high standard. All wiring was done very neatly and they tidied up after themselves. We now have a sustainable system we are very happy with. We liked the fact that they are a small family run company, with father and son team, Steve and Matt, who were a pleasure to have around. We would not hesitate to use or recommend Artimus again.

We contacted Artimus last year to ask about battery installation to compliment our PV system. Steve discussed the options available and we agreed on the Givenery storage system. I used Artimus in February 2023 to install a 9.5Kw battery storage system. The service received was excellent, they kept appointments, answered any questions I had quickly and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted to achieve, before recommending a system. On the date of install they arrived on time and completed all the work in one day. They made sure that the areas they had worked in were clean and all packaging taken away with them when they left. Steve also took the time to run through how the system worked and gave me some great tips on how to optimise the system to get the most from it. Having had such a great experience with them on the battery install, I'm now using them to install a solar PV system at the same property and again their communication and flexibility has been first rate. Installation of Emergency Power Supply for medical reasons in an older property necessitated an upgrade to Electrical Distribution Panel with additional Panel and associated wiring upgrades. Not the easiest of tasks but Artimus went the extra mile and beyond to keep us supplied with power as the work progressed. As well as Grid we have PV and Battery so all the connections were more complicated than "normal". Would highly recommend Steve and his colleagues and will use in the future as and when required. Came to Artimus with an unusual renovation job in an awkward barn conversion, and they absolutely delivered. We were guided through the options and design process in a clear and personal manner. Installation was flexible and carefully arranged to fit around us. Every issue that arose (and with an old house there were several!) was handled with skill and pragmatism. We are more than delighted with the results, which look absolutely brilliant and have been a joy to use. Being so involved in the design process and seeing the installation progress step-by-step has been great too, as we've been able to make key decisions and witness the level of detail and attention that's gone into the work - it's basically been whatever the opposite of corner-cutting is. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!
