We needed an electrician at short notice, and we were looking for someone reliable who would offer honest advice. Ross was able to fit us in at very short notice, and resolved the issue we were having with the power cutting out on our oven and hob with no hassle. Really friendly service, was very transparent and was able to explain the issue in a way I could understand. I needed an outdoor plug socket installed on an external side wall of my house in an area I carry out repairs. I was fortunate enough to come across Ross's number We had a brief conversation over my needs and requirements and what he could offer in the way of a solution. And to my amazement he came that very afternoon and installed me a double gang exterior socket right where I needed it ! Very polite and professional service at a fair price. My wife and I found Ross on FB as we wanted a new fuse box and some other electrical bits done like a new cooker hood and outside light. Ross was extremely diligent and thorough and really checked all our electrics which has made us feel the house which is 1950s is a lot safer from an electrical point of view. He really takes pride in doing a good job and wants to give a great service which he does. I would definitely contact Ross again for any other electrical needs. Although he is only young he has an 'old fashioned' pride in his work and doing a good job which often sadly missing these days. I would also say that his charges were very reasonable.

Ross from RS Electricals is a very good electrician with old school high standards. He arrived on time, following a bath leak from the flat above mine, which left me with no ceiling lights, and a frazzled extractor fan. He tested everything, fuse board etc, wiring, made sure all was safe. Lights all back on and ordered new extractor fan. No fuss, but Ross is extremely knowledgeable in his trade. I would highly recommend him.

RS electrical recently did the wiring for a home office and outbuildings and did a really good job. Ross and his team were reliable and the electrics are really high quality. Ross checked what we wanted and made suggestions to make it all future proof and even better. He even came urgently and fixed a fault in the house which was out of his spec.

Great service! Ross came to a call out to our house & faced an old messy instalation, he did everything he could to get it all back up and our heating working! Super patient and after a lot of testing, but Ross got it back up, came back a week later once he had the parts needed. Used to replace a light fitting in an ensuite. During the job it was highlighted the pull cord was faulty which he also replaced. Replacing the pull cord made a bit of a mess as it needed to be broken up, which was not cleared up well, with debris still on the floor and in the shower, when the job was finished. Total job took a total of 45 minutes from arriving to leaving. Invoice was emailed 10 days later and I was somewhat surprised that a £50 additional fee of labour for diagnosis/repair was added to the bill. Charges: Call out & labour (1 hour): £80 Additional labour for diagnosis/repair: £50 Part: BG Pull Cord Switch: £5.50 Total: £135.50

I had a shower isolator burn out and wanted peace of mind knowing it would be looked at properly. I checked local Facebook recommendations and saw Ross from RS Electrical mentioned quite a lot. I looked at more of his reviews, plus his website reviews, and could tell he knows his stuff. What was of particular interest was that he specialises in fault finding, which is exactly what I needed. Anyone can change a switch over, but to investigate and find the cause is a total different story. So I called Ross and he started talking me through the possibile causes straight away, so I arranged for him to come and investigate. He arrived on time, had all the right equipment and traced the cause of the fault. An hour and half later he was leaving and I was happy with my newly installed isolator. He left everything clean and tidy and he's a nice guy, which always helps! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ross for any electrical job. We contacted Ross on a recommendation from a friend as we had just bought a house, and so glad we did. I would highly recommend Ross to anyone looking for an electrician. The electrics in our new house just didn’t seem to be safe (from the main consumer unit, the garden power to the shed & summer house (which had a separate consumer unit with danger taped all over it), plus various other jobs needed doing like installing new plug sockets (inside and out) replacing a large number of light sockets (MR16 to GU10), and lots more ….) Ross is very knowledgeable, reliable, polite and a genuinely nice guy. His work is exceptional, and he always explains everything to you before doing the work, so you understand exactly what he is doing and you don’t get any surprises, all work is neat and tidy, and cleans up afterwards. He also goes out of his way to help where he can if you have any urgent issues that need fixing. Extremely pleased with all the work carried out so far and wouldn’t think twice about having him back to do further jobs.

Had all plug sockets fail on a circuit in kitchen and lounge, needed an electrician fast so dialled up and got speaking to Ross. Ross cancelled his meal out with his wife just to attend, I said that he really didn't need to and will call another firm, Ross was professional and very friendly and insisted on attending. After checking all the plugs and cables, Ross identified a faulty breaker on the main switch board, luckily he had some spares in his Van. The fault was fixed and was very pleased especially for my mother-in-law who is 85. Ross was dressed like an electrician, he had his company Logo on his top, RS Electrical. He sounded like an electrician and definitely knows his stuff. He had proper electricians tools and a company Van. When Ross said what the price was, I was surprised, it was alot less than what I expected, I even offered to pay him more. So you definitely can't go wrong with Ross

Ross came out to me at 10.30 at night because I had no electr8c at all and i esd a bit apprehensive as I live on my own! Ross soon got on with the Job and made me feal at ease! He soon found to problem and got me up and running again and came in the week and fitted a new shower, just in time for Christmas! Ross came out to us within hours of an emergency call out as we had been without hot water, heating or a working fridge for over 48 hours and had been let down diagnosing the problem by our insurance contractor. Ross assured us he would find the problem, and just under 5 hours later he did! It was not an easy find as it was pretty much under the house (and our old wiring is a mess just to make things more complicated) Not only did he find the problem, he went above and beyond to fix it. He explained what he was doing and why, as he went, and would make sure we saw what he was doing/ testing. Ross did not leave until we had a safe environment and had our hot water, heating and fridge freezer up and running again. Despite this being a temporary fix we are so grateful for the time, patience and consideration that Ross gave and we have asked for him to complete a downstairs rewire when he can fit us in his diary. It is no suprise that Ross is busy, he is the only person we will trust from now on when it comes to electrics! Thank you Ross! I've recently moved into a new property and wanted data + alarm cables ran, some cameras mounted and a new double socket. Ross quickly responded to my email and took the time to read through the plan I'd drawn up. He showed me some of his previous work and I knew he was the man for the job. I originally had Ross come round to look at fitting my tv to the wall and running the wires behind but before I had him do that job I was looking for someone to help me fit a new curtain pole. As our walls are thin plasterboard and couldn’t keep the last curtain pole in I was concerned. He offered (although being an electrician has a lot of general trade knowledge work) which was really appreciated as we’d already met and he was very professional. Also based on reviews I was more than happy. He was very knowledgable and explained everything that he was doing thoroughly. Job went perfectly and to a high standard. Would highly recommend him!
