Over the last 3 days, Ben has removed my Batteries and Inverters from my loft to my garage. This was (for Ben at least) a fiddly and hard job to undertake, batteries being heavy as they are. But, it is all now completed. I have an accessible system, safely installed and compliant with the current regulations. In addition I now have a simplified set up, compared to the previous complex install. A professional, clean and tidy install. Giving me peace of mind that everything is in order, and safe. Additionally, the company who installed my equipment in the first place, recommended by my Utility company, have ceased trading. Ben had to spend time understanding what was a very bad initial install and correcting this. He has done his best to explain to me how everything now works, as it should have done in the first place. Quite difficult for me to grasp, given how I had to adapt to a bad install. But he didn't leave until he was happy that I understood how everything works now. Unlike some installers who just take the money and run. All I can say is I would highly recommend Byard Electrical and Renewables if you were considering Solar, Batteries or a Car Charging Equipment installation. Andrew.

I can’t thank Ben and his staff at Byard Electrical and Renewables enough for the work carried out to fix my solar PV and battery issue. My system, installed Feb 2023, was showing a “battery disconnected error” and as my installer, Envo Energy Solutions had gone out of business, I was having great trouble finding someone who could come out to fix my issue. Ben’s office sent over a detailed quote for coming out, looking at the fault, and hopefully fixing it. Ben arrived, and then the fun started. After a comprehensive inspection the battery fault was just the start of a series of errors that were caused by incorrect installation by the original installers, Envo Engery Solutions. Incorrect settings on the invertor, Incorrect information on the paperwork, Incorrect data cables, Incorrect DC isolator switch and a 13amp socket fitted without an earth. Ben spent a frustrating 6 hours fault correcting and making the system 100% safe, and it is now fully operational. Once again I cannot thank Ben enough for his excellent knowledge and workmanship and thoroughly recommend him to carry out your requirements.

We asked Ben to undertake a EIRC on a property in Cheltenham. From the outset, Ben was able to offer advise on what to look for when appointing an appropriate electrical company. Ben arranged a suitable time and date to undertake the check, and provided a comprehensive report and was able to return at a later date and rectified any faults. He kept us informed throughout and at a reasonable price. Would recommend Ben and would be pleased to use him again

We were impressed by the quality and care Ben took of his work on a previous visit so we asked him to do some other work for us. We were not disappointed. He went about the work with his usual efficiency, keeping us updated of what he was doing. Somehow he managed to change three single electric sockets in a brick wall to double USB sockets without damaging the surrounding plaster saving me repair work I had fully expected. Great experience and workmanship from Ben. We had our prehistoric fuse box updated to modern standards with a new breaker board with RCBOs, had new cabling fitted from the meter, earth bonding installed, a few sockets/lights changed where needed and a new cooker circuit installed/connected. Ben Byard was so busy I booked him in February following his estimate for upgrade of fuse board and lights in garage with two way switching to be completed on 4th May 2022 as he was so busy at the time of quote. Ben arrived on the date agreed and carried out the work with a minimum of fuss to my satisfaction. He provided all certificates at the end of the day.

Could not recommend Ben and Kate more highly. Ben came out to price up the work we needed doing and got the quote to me that same night at very reasonable pricing. He booked us in when he next had availability then contacted us as he could bring it forward. I did not need to call to confirm he turned up when he was booked in and completed the work in good time despite coming across some additional repairs in the process. I had Byard Electrical fit two Nest thermostats for heating and hot water in my property. The quote was very competitive and they were able to provide me with an appointment very quickly. The work was carried out very quickly and professionally. He took the time to test everything and also explain the operation of the thermostats. I am having them come and do other jobs in the house in future and would thoroughly recommend Byard electrical for all your electrical works.

Ben is fairly priced and super reliable, he has fitted three radiators, a new bathroom light, a hob and some new double sockets for me. Ben installed new lighting when we had a new kitchen installed in July 2020 and did a fantastic job.
