Electrical and Test Limited

First time buyer needing electrical work done and new consumer unit and not knowing where to begin. Darren was able to give me reassurance and explain everything that needed to be done and calm my nerves. Am very happy with the finished product and would recommend him to anyone seeking electrical work.

As a landlord, I've used Darren @ Electrical & Test for several years. He is reliable, honest and provides an excellent service.

Another professional job completed by Darren. Fault finding and rectifying isolater switch problem. If you need a competent , qualified and professional electrician in and around Folkestone- Darren is my number one recommendation !

Wonderful service. Quick and efficient and cleaned up perfectly at the end. Highly recommended

Darren provided me a reasonable quote for supply, fit and commission of an additional GivEnergy battery. He arrived on time and I found him to be pleasant and professional. He did an excellent job and I thoroughly recommend him.

Darren is a good and honest chap Turned up on time and got the job done ! What more can you ask for . Top man

Electrical work and solar installation went very smoothly. Weather was terrible, but all done on time to agreed budget, with clear explanation throughout. Thanks Darren.

Darren installed a GIVenergy battery towards the end of July 2024. The installation went smoothly but shortly after it became apparent that there was a problem with theGIVenergy battery. Darren was extremely helpful in liasing with GIVenergy to identify the fault in the battery packs. This led to replacement battery packs from GIV energy which has solved the problems with the system. I can strongly recommend Darren for not only the installation but also the after sales support when it became apparent that the original battery packs supplied by GIVenergy were faulty.

Prompt, professional and helpful , explaining details of operation throughout . Yes I would recommend Darren for battery installs without hesitation!

Very professional, battery storage completed as quoted, on time and to a very high standard at an excellent price. I can thoroughly recommend this company for this type of work.

What great service from booking to keeping me updated.. to the install and patience with the config .. highly recommend

Incredible - above and beyond electrical engineering, giving piece of mind over electrical safety for years to come.

Darren is a fantastically knowledgable electrician. We had Darren install our solar, battery, and inverter. Everything went like clockwork, very neat, tidy and everything just works. Great job and a super conscientious person. A*

Replacement solar panels and new battery system. Very impressed with Darren @ Electrical and Test during the end to end process of enquiry, quote, configuration, installation and follow up. Good communicator, helpful and flexible and a quality end product. Highly recommended.

Excellent service by Electrical and Test. Solar tripping RCD fault identified and work carried out to correct the badly fitted wiring . If you are considering having solar my advise is get someone like Electrical and Test to supply and fit and not one of the many cowboy firms currently all over the internet. It really is a case of buyer beware.

Contacted Darren as he’s a GivEnergy fully trained installer. Initial phone consultation was very helpful and Darren had plenty of ideas. Site survey was carried out a few days later with measurements and plenty of ideas for placement of batteries. Darren then sent a fully comprehensive email with various solar and storage options and estimates of annual solar generation and savings. After deciding what options an order was placed for materials. Darren estimated three days to install solar, batteries and also replacing my old EV charger. I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything went, Darren and his team are extremely professional, all the work was completed on time despite horrendous weather and looks really good, and they were so tidy. Darren is one of the nicest guys you could meet and he should be called a Master Electrician and I cannot recommend him highly enough, many thanks Darren.

Darren has done a couple of jobs for us now, installing and then relocating our car charger, and reinstalling our Solar PV kit. He's always punctual, very friendly and helpful. his comms is great, and work is excellent. We'll be calling Darren for all future electrical work.

Darren came to our block of flats to test the electrics after we had water damage. He came much sooner than he originally told us he would be able to, and was excellent- he is very thorough and also very good at explaining things. I don't actually know how his prices compare to others, but it seemed very reasonable to us. I would recommend him to anyone.

Darren is efficient, really knows his stuff, sets out a fair price and leaves everything clean and tidy and working properly. I can't recommend him enough, top notch.

Excellent and professional service at a very fair price!!

Darren has a ‘can do’ attitude which is great, for a non-standard installation such as ours. He is knowledgeable about the products, and works tidily and to a high standard.

I was lucky enough to have Darren sent to me by MyEnergi (the Zappi car charger manufacturer) to fix a fault on the charger (Darren wasn't the original fitter). He fixed it quickly and pointing out the peculiar way it had been installed in the first place. Whilst he was doing the job, I asked him about other issues I'd had and he said he would perform some testing for me and promptly sent me a detailed quote for electrical testing. On the day of the testing he was on time, professional, courteous and then completely off the cuff, fixed an additional lighting issue that 4 previous electricians had been unable to rectify, in 50 minutes, which included a trip to Screwfix to get a part. Oh, and did I mention he found a potentially fatal wiring error in my daughter's room - absolutely phenomenal work in my humble opinion. I've since had Darren back to replace my consumer unit and I will shortly be getting him to fit me a battery. Can't rate Darren highly enough

Excellent response, price, and quickly seen to. Will be contacting again!

Darren is a very accommodating and knowledgeable guy. This is the second big job he has done in our house, and it leaves us nothing less than happy by his great work. No hesitation at all in recommending Darren.

Excellent

5 stars for Darren at Electrical and Test. So close to Christmas with a bit of an electrical nightmare happening in my loft, I was struggling to get hold of a electrician. By luck Darren had a free slot, came round at time he said, quickly worked out the problem. Gave me 3 options to solve the problem and lots and lots of advice what else to do, some of these weren't electrical problems, so he went above and beyond. Really nice guy, trustworthy electrician. I'll use Darren at Electical and Test from now on.. Fantastic service

Darren was super efficient and very helpful. Highly recommended!

I used Darren Briddock to install a Zappi electric car charger a year ago and an Eddi power diverter device yesterday . I am pleased with his service on both occasions . He knew what he was doing , arrived on time and carried out the jobs without a fuss and charged the price he quoted. We have solar PV panels on the roof and 2 electric cars. I have found the My Energy Zappi car charger fantastic. The surplus energy produced by the solar panels, is diverted into the car batteries, rather than being sent back to the grid. In the summer months this eliminates running costs for the cars.

I'd been interested in getting a Myenergy Zappi car charger. Darren was recommended through the Myenergy website. A quote was obtained, a price for supplying and fitting the Zappi was agreed and arrangements were made for the installation. Darren was on time and proceeded to install the Zappi soon after arriving. Once the Zappi was installed and operating, he explained the ins and outs of operating the Zappi using the built in panel, how to download the app and how the app worked. I've had the Zappi for about 5-6 weeks and have had no issues with it and it has worked very well. I'd recommend Darren without hesitation.

5* service. 5* quality. 5* electrics. Darren took time to answer all my questions and upgraded everything we needed to top tier quality electrics. We are really pleased with everything and will be recommending him!

Darren was efficient and knowledgeable. He’s explained everything really carefully to me and clearly knows his stuff. Definitely recommend.

Darren provided the most detailed quote of all for my car charge point, which even impressed another company that quoted. He inspected the installation site in advance and discussed the route. He stayed late to make up unforeseen time losses arising from the complexity of the underfloor cable run. His tools and equipment were fit for purpose. He kept me informed of the challenges as they arose and we agreed the details. Very impressive service.

Very happy. I needed to have my kitchen rewired (3 new circuits plus changes to the existing) on a tight deadline to be ready for an existing kitchen install date. Darren came in and listened to what I wanted, but also gave really useful advice about what could be done to make it even better. He came and did the first fix - and the kitchen fitters even mentioned how good the work was. He then made the time once the kitchen was in to get back as soon as possible to connect everything up. Excellent service, and a really great job.

Darren from Electrical and Test LTD did some work for me in my flat last week, including installation of new electrical sockets and a new fuse box. He was highly professional, came on time, worked consistently and tidied up after himself. I couldn't recommend this company more for your electrical needs!
