We had Ryan to fit a car charger very nice lad & very professional wasn't straight forward but he got it done was happy with the price quoted would have him again & would recommend

Installation of an induction hob. Excellent communication and fantastic customer service. This is the second time I’ve used Ryan and he’s been spot on both times.

Fast efficient service contacted Friday evening and fixed by Saturday lunchtime. New pull cord fitted no problem. Good communication

Ryan did an excellent job installing our new bathroom extractor fan and did a thorough job. Left no mess, friendly and very polite. Will be using again in the future. Highly recommended

Quick and simple communication, arrived at the job very quick and got everything sorted in no time, lad who arrived was sound too

Ryan and his team installed a range of lighting and sockets throughout my house and carried out their work efficiently to fit around other work. I was consulted many times to check I was happy with the work and they were quick to resolve any issues. I’m really pleased with the end result

Ryan did an amazing job installing new CCTV cameras and an outdoor socket. He was reliable, friendly, and professional and was so helpful in keeping us informed. The quality of his work was fantastic and he walked through everything afterwards to make sure we were happy which was a nice touch. He did a brilliant job and we would highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking for an electrician, we'll certainly be using him again!

Ryan really helped us out by coming out the same day to fix faulty lighting that had left us with no lights upstairs. Explained what the issue was and how he'd fixed it. Costs were agreed up front, so no stress/surprises. Really friendly guys also. Would recommend.

Superb and couldn't recommend enough. Gave me a courtesy call after shopping around for quotes and provided excess information that he didn't need to and on the job was superb. Personable and took the time to explain everything going on. Was willing to even pick up a few extra bits and pieces he noticed during a standard EICR check. Will be using Ryan and his team for future work no question.

Used Ryan’s services on 3 occasions, most recently for removal of light fittings and refit new ones. Throughout the job from start to finish Ryan kept us updated about timings etc. A total professional. Would highly recommend and will use Ryan and his team again.

Ryan from R.Askew Electrical attended our new home to help us understand how our heating worked. We have zoned under floor heating with lots of controls and thermostats along with radiators upstairs on different zones. Ryan came across and discussed everything with us and explored what controlled what and I am now able to fully operate our heating system which is complicated. Ryan is looking into turning it into a Hive controlled system that can be operated from my phone for ease and to control when away too.

Ryan is brilliant. He's professional, knowledgeable and does a top job every time. I would recommend him to anyone!

Ryan did a fantastic job installing our chandelier and RF dimmable switch system. He was friendly, professional and very approachable throughout the whole process. Even on short notice, he came without hesitation and got everything done efficiently with no complaints. The quality of his work is excellent and he made sure everything was set up exactly as we wanted. I’m really pleased with the result and would highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled electrician. Thanks again, Ryan!

Very friendly and helpful. Great communication and reasonable rates. Will certainly use for future work. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we have used R Askew Electrical & Security Ltd. On this occasion to fit spot lights and two twin sockets. Ryan and teams work is top quality. They took us through every step of the process checking we were happy before moving on. We are very pleased with the final outcome and this has certainly enhanced the room for us. Would recommend Ryan and team. Thanks Ryan and Andy.

Over the years I’d heard people say things like “Askew were the top electrical firm in Yorkshire” or “Ryan was the smartest electrician in town” but I have to disagree… Having lived and worked all over the UK I’m going to put it right out there and say these guys are, without doubt, “The Best Electricians in Britain”. Let’s break it down… Usual story; I’ve inherited a half-cocked job from a local developer, who put’s more effort into penny-pinching and avoiding doing any work than just getting the job done properly. Guess what? I now have backwards-forward wiring and an electrical emergency fizzing upstairs. So, I call up Askew to see what all the fuss was about; The fabulous Donna is on it like a car bonnet with a fast and accurate response. She hits me with a fair price and their next available appointment. Like the amateur I am, I asked something stupid like “Will you be able to fix this?” to which she signs off with the magical words “If anyone can, Ryan’s your man”. Bang on time the van pulls up. No messing about, the usual “breathing through teeth” or the dreaded “this is gonna cost you more than I thought mate’ nonsense. Ryan is straight to work. After five minutes he’s figured it all out in his head and explained to me how he’s going to correct the hazardous mess he's inherited from Abdul. The fact I’ve no idea what a three-way-gang-current-spark-fuse-amp-socket-ding-dong-bing-bong actually is really doesn’t matter. He has my trust and I’m off to fix him a proper coffee. “This will take two hours Sir!” was all I needed to hear. I kid you not… One hour and fifty nine minutes later the smart-arse hands me back an empty coffee cup with a big smile on his face. He's packed and off to the next job. The work’s been done, the problems fixed, the carpet hoovered and he’d even filled in a crack around a light socket that the ‘Bandit From Bombay’ left me looking at. Listen up good people of South Yorkshire… You have an actual Sparky Superstar business right on your doorstep. Askew Electrical deliver that old-school expertise, care, value, experience and trust that we all long for. Get them hired now and thank me later. #Askew #BestElectricians #ZeroShocks #VoteForRyan

We had Ryan to come and do a full rewire and we was impressed with his knowledge and workmanship. Thanks Ryan

Had Ryan fit an outside socket for me. He was excellent from start to finish, very friendly and honest about the work that needed doing. He was fantastic throughout and left our property clean and tidy at the end of the job. Could not be happier with the work done. Thanks Ryan!

Incredibly efficient and did a great job. This is a genuine review and really appreciated a visit on a Sunday to ensure our safety

Great service for an emergency call out. Arrived quickly and were able to easily solve the issue. Would recommend to those that want an efficient and reliable service.

Ryan and his team were a great help when our alarm system had issues, great communication and great service. All issues fixed promptly and great aftercare if anything else was noticed. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant service! We needed an electrician to help prepare some sockets for damp proofing, which meant Ryan coming to assess the work, then making them safe ready for Timberwise, and then returning to put everything back together. He also needed to liaise with the surveyor. Went above and beyond. Friendly, courteous, tidy, reliable - a very skilled electrician. Great price. Can't recommend him and the company highly enough!

Ryan was friendly, transparent and maintained good communication throughout. Quote was fair and work was completed to a good standard 👍🏼

Ryan and his team did a wonderful job fixing electrical points outdoors and indoor. The service was excellent, professional and very reasonable pricing.

Great service. We found ourselves without electricity on a Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. After being let down by other electricians Ryan said he would be with us same day to get our power back on. He found and fixed the problem very quickly, explained what had happened and gave advice. We now have a plan in place to help us get some further remediation work completed. Really clear communication including all charges and times of arrival upfront . Very grateful and will 100% use again and recommend to others.

Fantastic pair of lads that came to sort an issue out that I had. Nothing was too much for them and they was Interactive throughout the visit. Thanks again !

Ryan and his associates did a fantastic job for us at our home, he installed an EV charger which had to be connected to our meter which was locked into the centre of our house due to extensions all around our property, the job he did was brilliant, no mess or clean up required, nothing was too much trouble for him. Whilst he was here I asked him about some under counter lights in our kitchen which he sourced and fitted, they’re brilliant! And to top it off he fixed an issue we’d had with a set of lights in our study, they hadn’t worked properly for 7yrs, and multiple electricians had tried to fix them in the past. For all our electrical needs going forward Ryan will be my first port of call, trustworthy and great value for money.

Our first contact with Askew Electrical was when we had an emergency, though late at night they came out and got some power on and then the following morning came and rectified the problem, very efficiently. Since then we have had the firm to re-wire the garage, update the outside cabling and fit working security lights. Ryan kept us abreast of what, why and when during the whole process and the work was carried out to the highest standard and left the job nice and clean. I must commend Ryan and his staff on an excellent job and how they conducted themselves and respected our property. I would recommend them to anyone wanting electrical services, thank you.

Had an issue on a Saturday afternoon and got hold of Ryan's company and they came out later that day and were amazing! They came out and fixed my issue straight away. Would completely recommend. Great work!

We had a report done on our new house and after being quoted in being ready on Monday, after the electrician went in on Friday to look, we finally got our report the following Friday. The electrician said himself we should have never been quoted a date that soon as he was in a job in wales. All this could have been excused however over the phone we were quoted £180 and the lady didn’t mention the VAT so we’ve actually paid £216! Really not happy and felt that at times we were just being shoved off. Don’t get me wrong, the work they have done is extremely thorough and we’re impressed with the detail of the report but overall, not had the best experience.

Great service! Ryan replaced a control switch for me at short notice and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Thank you :)

Andy was our assigned electrician and he was professional, polite, helpful, friendly and on time. Our issue is all sorted now and we were very grateful to him for providing us with the extra advice we needed which is a great help and very much appreciated. Happy to recommend their services. Yvonne and Mat.

Excellent service and very knowledgeable highly recommended.

Through WhatsApp I was quoted from Ryan that I would be charged £140 to install a light fitting and to relocate 2 light fittings. He sent some unprofessional to my house they were told from Debbie the job was for a bathroom light fixture and to just change the kitchen lights however the job was only for the kitchen lights. After installing one of the kitchen lights they said they were leaving to buy some parts. I received a message from Debbie saying that the lights are £130 each when I phoned them they said they had felt intimidated as we had asked them to shorten the lengths of the pendant which anyone would ask. They also had no safety equipment one of the lads were standing on the equipment box whilst the other guy had no safety equipment when they were making a access hole for the lights another issue was they did not turn of the electricity which personally I should have told them to leave as they said they don’t need to take of the electricity. They did not resolve the issue and left my kitchen as a mess when I asked them as why they couldn’t do it they said they felt intimidated so if you are planning to install some lights I do not recommend as they will do half a job leave a mess and if you were to ask to adjust something they would feel “intimidated” I hope Ryan fixes this issue with his safety and unreliable staff members

DON'T USE - RUBBISH SERVICE! Called them out to a job on Saturday afternoon - and despite their website saying "they would arrive within an hour" and "they won't leave you in the dark", they never showed up! Called them again, still no show! Called another company on Sunday who came & did the job straight away. Then got a message today (Monday) - "Hey lovey, do you still need us?" - how unprofessional & rude! Glad I didn't need them anymore - from other people's reviews it looks like I had a lucky escape!

Had Ryan and his team out first to carry out an EICR, the remidal work that it needed and then had a brand new consumer unit to future proof my property. Throughout the works Ryan and his team were nothing but professional, courteous and hard working. Work done to a high standard . I wouldn’t hesitate to use them in the future.

First class service........

These guys were excellent! From start to finish they got our job done within a week! The job was done to a really high standard and the electrician's that came were helpful and friendly. All in all great value for money and a great professional service! Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended

This guy almost crashed into me in his van as he pulled out of his premises. Learn to drive properly

Called in an emergency as my mother had no power, they came quickly and sorted the issue. I would highly recommend this company.

Light socket on an electric fire exploded when turned on & couldn't get a fire to match in fireplace . Took fire here & luckily it was only the light had gone . Replaced with LED light , excellent service. (Brinsworth Miller)

Lovely job friendly guy and cleaned up after himself M Simpson High Green

Called in an emergency elderly and infirm parents without lights. Quick response excelent job. Highly recommended . Good price.

Great service from great team, Knowledgeable, Friendly, Reliable - Pete @ Raw Communications

Brilliant Service. Got in touch with Ryan Askew and straight away had a reply. Within a couple of hours the electrician was at the house. Great job, thank you.

Not often I get to say this but Ryan and his team go the extra mile, polite, courteous and very professional. A very high standard of workmanship at a fair price and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Did repair my issue, but I feel I was overcharged for the repair. Questioned the price & it was lowered, but still unreasonable for the job (Wanted £180+ for sourcing and changing an 40 amp breaker. Personally I won't use again. But plenty seem to rate the work.

How tradesmen should be

Fantastic service!!! Very helpful and wasnt out to rip us off like most companies out there. All of our sockets had no power to them and the last electrician that came to look at the problem said we needed a complete rewire however the electrician from Ryan Askew electrical said that our electrics were fine and sorted the problem we had with the sockets and that there was no need for a rewire. Definately going to recommend this company to family and friends. Big thank you to Riggs you are a star. Very happy customer. 😊😊😊

I was very surprised when they actually fixed my problem within hours of me phoning! The gentleman that came fixed my light extremely quickly! Thanks very much for the great service!

Fab job done extremely quickly - Ryan went out of his way to ensure my parents home was safe before I left Thank you!

Two members of staff came and wired up a new boiler for us today. After the plumber left yesterday one of the radiators wasn't heating up. Despite not being anything to do with the electrician he went out of his way to make sure it was working properly before he left. He and his apprentice went the extra mile. Sorry I don't know their names, but many thanks to them...

Quick, friendly service

Poor service - amateurs blew the whole sockets and then charged us for it

Great service. We found ourselves without electricity on a Friday evening (which stopped our heating working and it was cold!). We called lots of places that were unable to help. Ryan sent out help which arrived within 2 hours and fixed the problem very quickly, and explained what had happened/ gave us some good advice. Good communication beforehand letting us know what the charges would be. Saved us from having to sleep in a very cold house, we were very grateful.

Great communication and speed to get booked in. Quick, tidy and clean job of installing a Nest thermostat completed with no problems by Jon (engineer). Would highly recommend these guys. Job well done!!!

Quick to price up and carry out works required to a quality standard, left no mess. Will continue to use for all future electrical work, which to me speaks volumes.

Arrived quicky and did a sterling job. Honest quote, a very trustworthy electrician. Recommended.

Excellent and prompt service.would definitely recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again

Ryan is very nice, reasonable price and did the work at short notice. However despite repeated requests he didn't supply a certificate I could use to qualify for HMO licence, just a confirmation of work done on letterhead, so I had to get a different electrician in, in the end to repeat the work!

Excellent, first class service. Friendly and efficient

Great Service from Ryan's team, they arrived within 4 hours of calling and resolved the issue quickly and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to friends and family and will be using again for any future electrical work.

Very prompt service (was offered same day visit). Very polite and did the job quickly and for a good price. I would definitely use them again.

My burglar alarm would not stop going off , these guys helped me out on a Saturday afternoon . The guy came quick and sorted it no problem, a excellent , quick good priced service , highly recommended.

Ryan offered a quality service and would highly recommend. 10/10

Ryan and his team wired my extension! Brilliant and professional workmanship!! The way Ryan described the job was the way it turned out, couldn't ask for a better company to have completed my home!

VolkanS Rip off. Worst company I ever seen. Right Rip off. Very xpensive. Worst company I've ever seen. For a job I could get done for £120 - £150 range they charged me £240.. It was very easy job for any electrician. Just changing 3 lights and 3 sockets (they only supplied one light and one socket. The others I bought them myself.) The boss especially very arrogant and big headed. He thinks he is the only one in the area. I will never ever use them again..
