I went with these guys after they did a really good job installing an EV charger a few years ago. They were absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process, they are very knowledgeable about what to install and were able to answer any complex technical questions I had. They were also able to install an additional 4 panels compared to other local installers, due to the high quality mounting system they use. The installation itself is brilliant and you can tell how much pride they take in their work. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic service. I spent over 6 months researching solar products and companies, and looked no further after meeting Oliver of The Good Electrical Company. The market is crowded right now yet very few suppliers truly understand the technology and how best to apply it to individual circumstances. Most companies are roofers rather than qualified electricians. I have a technical background so was very frustrated with the non-scientific salesmen who take up hours of my time on site visits (“free survey” as they call it !) Oliver took the time to fully understand my needs, explain the solutions and dispel the myths around solar, all the time remaining responsive in subsequent calls and messages. Installation was on time and to high standards, with the company going beyond their remit to improve my experience. All this for a competitive price too. As a result, I’m very pleased with the product and the knowledge that the warranty will be fully honoured. I would change the “Good” to “Great”!
We had a Sigenergy 18kWh battery system, 3 phase gateway and 6 additional solar panels installed by The Good Electrical Company. We talked to several companies to get quotes but Oliver gate us the most extensive overview and survey of the property prior to quoting us. The installation went very smoothly and looks absolutely spot on, quality-wise. We couldn't be happier and it was all a great experience from start to finish. Oliver and his team provide a terrific service from beginning to end. We had 20 solar panels installed in a difficult location and the whole team worked extremely hard to complete the job. Working for 12 hours straight on two of the hottest days recorded in May. (4-days to complete the work) Excellent follow up and support. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
We had rooftop PV + battery installed by Good Electrical Company, and the entire experience was great. Oliver goes the extra mile for his customers, and he is incredibly knowledgeable. The work they did is stunning, neat as a pin, and everything works seamlessly one month on. They put extra effort into the installation to make it last, e.g., a special attachment method for clay tiles (other installers didn't understand the failure mode or even the difference between clay and concrete tiles). The quote was competitive, but the level of service and workmanship was a level above. I have experience with mediocre installers (e.g., Swift did our ASHP and EV charger last year that just don't work well); it is easy to fall into traps with new technologies. Thanks to The Good Energy Company, I dodged one such bullet: A few other installers (and Google AI) recommended GivEnergy kit despite GivEnergy being on the brink of collapse and their kit at risk of being bricked. Oliver, having insider's knowledge, talked me out of it. GivEnergy went bust. It really pays off to have a good installer on your side. PV+battery is the best investment you can make right now (providing that you choose the right installer). I highly recommend The Good Electrical Company.
This company was recommended to me by a colleague when I was considering solar panels after they had used them at their house. It was a great recommendation! From first contact with Oliver and the team I had confidence in the information being provided. Unlike the other quotes I had from big nationwide installers Oliver came out to survey the house and measure before providing the quote. This meant he was able to install more panels than the other quotes I had. Through the quoting period Oliver was always happy to discuss all my questions and there was never any pressure, he was also really helpful in providing advice and discussing options in reference to the other quotes I had and I definitely ended up with a better solution as a result. Even after deciding to go ahead Oliver was still thinking about the solution and was able to fit bigger panels on. The work itself was to a very high quality. It was all very neat and tidy with regular updates. A big thank you to Oliver and the team.

Had a Powerwall 3 installed by Oliver and his team. They did an excellent job from start to finish. Good planning and installation meant that it was a very tidy install, even plumbing in a string of 5 existing solar panels and fixing an existing EV electrical issue, along the way. The team's expertise and knowledge meant that they were able to navigate some quirks with Tesla smoothly and efficiently. I am very pleased with the resultant system, which has already saved us £100 from our monthly bill (even before the sun has started to shine!). Existing solar array removed for extension and upgrade. Oliver and Harvey both worked hard to complete the works and I was very happy with the work. They arrived when stated and the quality of the work was completed to a higher standard than the previous solar installer. The work was done quickly and efficiently with no negative impact on the school despite one week of it being during term time. The installation was seamless but it was the long and detailed conversations I had with Oliver before that were most appropriated. He was patient and understanding of the fact that investing in solar can feel like a big decision. Couldn't recommend these guys enough especially when there are others out there who will quote you less but fly through and install in a day and then disappear without a trace when there are potential issues.
Oliver, Sam and the team at The Good Electrical Company are absolutely first rate and I can easily recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install. The team recently installed an 11 panel system + Powerwall 3 for me and they impressed at every step. At the initial visit to site Oliver was up on the roof (3 storey house) within the first 5 minutes measuring up which removed all ambiguity about what would work. GEC were the only prospective installer to do this, everyone else I spoke to relied on online sizing tools which resulted in loads of variation in designs. Oliver walked me through what he'd recommend for the design, providing reasons for everything and answered all my questions (of which there were many). Even after the first site visit, he responded quickly to my emails and amended the design as I asked, again providing recommendations and explaining everything. After locking in the install date we communicated by email and whatsapp which made things really easy and convenient, and when a slot openned up they were even able to bring things forward a bit. Once the install started the team were super polite and helpful (even taking their shoes off every time they stepped inside the house). They worked quietly without any real disruption to me (I work from home) and got everything done neatly and to my eyes to a real high standard. Early on during the install they decided that routing some of the cabling differently to how we'd originally agreed would work better for me in the long run and, after discussing it with me, did all the extra work at their own cost which was massively impressive. The only hiccup we had was a dead-on-arrival part which the guys organized a replacement for straight away and again communicated regularly with me on to ensure I was up to date with it's arrival. Overall I've been left with a solar and storage system that I'm extremely pleased with and a faultless design and installation experience. I don't often write online reviews but I'm very pleased to do so in the case of GEC as they were so good. Thanks team!
Brilliant from start to finish! The team installed our new solar panels and battery in August (in the heat), and I couldn’t recommend enough. Everything was handled professionally with clear communication throughout. These are the most polite contractors I have ever worked with 😊 Oliver, who sold us the system, also did the installation, which was really reassuring. Their after service has been just as good, they genuinely care about their customers and aren’t just in it for the now. A great experience from start to finish
Solar and Battery installation. We couldn’t recommend the Good Electrical Company highly enough, from initial survey to the final commissioning of our system. Their team, headed up by Oliver showed tremendous professionalism and enthusiasm. They worked flexibly with the other trades involved in our project fitting in often at short notice. Our 12 panel and battery system is performing well using no power from the grid since installation. As well as feeding surplus back to grid. The Good Electrical Company certainly lives up to its name.
From initial enquiry, site visit (cool drone use and only estimate/ site survey we got to actually go in and on the roof!), installation to final delivery, Oliver, Sam and Harvey were exceptionally professional, kept excellent communication and completed the work on time with minimal disruption. The Good Electrical Company did a really great job installing my PV panels, battery and inverter. Throughout the process Oliver was full of good ideas and enthusiasm and helped me so much to navigate all the options and the different technologies. The resulting job has turned out to be just as good as expected from the point of view of performance but it's also much more aesthetically appealing than I could have hoped for and, critically, so neat and tidy that you don't notice it. Everything, from initial ideas to installation, took no more than a couple of months and the whole process was actually enjoyable. I can unreservedly recommend this company.

Just replaced my shower extractor fan & I'm delighted with it. They recommended a replacement which is both more powerful but also quieter than my previous one. Outside of the bathroom you can't hear it & it definitely kept the bathroom clearer of steam during a shower. The work was done quickly & efficiently so I would definitely use them again.

Excellent in every way from, 1st visit for estimate then turning up on time and carrying out an efficient and excellent installation. Other companies were unable to carry out small wiring modification so, use The Good Electrical Company to carry out everything. Don’t bother contacting any other company when you purchase your EV car .
This Company are excellent. I found them through Check-a-Trade They responded very promptly and charged a really reasonable amount to do a survey to check a faulty meter. They sent me a report, which I forwarded to British Gas, who immediately reduced a bill they said I owed by 70%! I would heartily recommended them (especially Oliver), to anyone needing an electrician.

I was delighted with the service I had from The Good Electric Company. A very detailed assessment was made of the existing wiring to my garage, with the good news that I did not need to get more than 30 meters of new cable put in place. The work done to provide a charger was exemplary. Care was taken that it was fitted in the best position. I was shown how to use it.
Absolutely superb, could not have asked for a better service. I was let down after. 5 month wait by my previous supplier, rang around loads of places and so glad I got through to these two! Rapid response, friendly professional and did a really good job routing cables and provided friendly straightforward advice. I was in meetings all day during install, and they just got on and did what they needed to, and the finished product looks well done and tidy. I'd recommend them to anyone and will definitely be coming back in future.
Required installation of a new distribution board to enable power supply to a new outbuilding and also cabling for future EV chargepoint. Sam and Oliver have done an extremely timely and tidy installation, to budget, and left everything clean and tidy - and nice guys to talk with too, with some good input to the proposed works. Would definitely use them again and would happily recommend them to others.
Really helpful! I spoke to Oliver on the phone, who was able to book me in quickly (just a few hours after I called) for a small emergency job. Sam came to look at it, fixed it quickly, and talked me through what the problem was and how he had fixed it. He used a good quality fixture to help reduce the need for another fix anytime soon. He also had a preliminary look at some other things I'm thinking of getting done in the future, checked out a few faulty fixtures, and helped me understand what was involved, what sort of options I have, and a rough idea of time and cost involved. Both Oliver and Sam were polite, courteous, communicative and professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

I previously done a Google search for electricians in my area as nowadays with what goes on you need a good professional job done and looking at the rating for the good electrical company and every review has 5 stars then this was a no brainer to phone them up and enquire about a electrical job i needed doing in my property. I asked about having 2 smoke alarms fitted and a heat sensor and i spoke to Oliver who guided me through the procedure and was also polite and considerate during our phone conversation. I received an emailed quote for the necessary parts and fitting to be carried out. Oliver told me the name of his electrician who will be carrying out the work which i thought was good and when they arrived the reviews i previously had read are very true. They took their shoes off and they made sure everything was tidy and cleaned up before they left. They even took the time to show me what i needed to do in case i experience any issues with these alarms. From the time that Oliver came to survey my proposed installation to it being commissioned I was so impressed with the professional way in which he was able to advise me on the best route for the cable to run. It was not a straightforward case of simply drilling through the wall in order to connect up the charger the other side. He thoroughly explained every detail of the process leaving me absolutely confident to place my order with the company. Not the cheapest but I am very pleased with the result to the extent that I would recommend The Good Electrical Company to anyone contemplating having an EV charger installed.
Excellent service from Oliver and Sam to install additional solar and Libbi battery. Ever since first contact end of May, through to survey, calculation of generation options and then onto installation I’ve been very impressed with the service. Extremely knowledgeable team and the quality of the installation is very impressive. Oliver also spent time to ensure that the existing EV charger had the updated firmware and we had a fully integrated myenergi system. Highly recommended!!
Oliver and team offers a really high quality service and get a massive recommendation. The whole team worked really hard to make sure that everything they did was high quality, making sure they asked questions to understand exactly what we wanted, and with real attention to detail. Our slightly tricky roof presented a few problems, but they worked at it until they were completely happy with the final solution. We really valued being included in the conversation at each stage. The installation of panels, battery and chargers has worked from the get-go without any hiccups. Highly recommended, would love to have them do more work in the future.
Absolutely fantastic experience, Sam and Oliver were incredibly helpful and very easy to work with. They did an exceptional job of routing the cables for a new EV charger and really went out of their way to help us from the beginning of the engagement right the way through to the end. Really pleased with everything they did and highly recommend them.
