4.8
Western Gas Electric Ltd is often praised for prompt, professional and tidy work, with customers highlighting clear communication and thorough checks before leaving. Reviews commonly mention heating and boiler repairs, gas hob installation, electrical fault finding, lighting, rewiring and thermostat fitting, with many valuing the polite service, fair prices and ability to attend quickly in an emergency. One detailed complaint raises serious concerns about fault diagnosis and leaving vulnerable customers without heating, so experiences have not been entirely consistent.

Jatin did a great job! He was able to attend quickly and did a thorough job. He was clear and communicative with what needed doing. Would definitely recommend!
Not many companies like this around any more. Great to work with.
DO NOT USE... I have serious doubts about Jatin's ability to do the most basic of fault finding and repair work. Visited my elderly parents (80 and 90 years old) via a Corgi emergency call. Spent 2 hours running around trying to figure out an issue on their ring main which was causing an RCD to trip and take out other protected circuits. Came up with various excuses, including the need to replace all sockets as they were "all bad". Left my parents with no heating and no temporary sockets on a lovely -5c cold weather evening... At one point a thermometer in their house was showing 11.5c. So Jatin either didn't understand that temporarily, safely, disconnecting the ring main would allow the RCD to be reinstated, allowing the other protected circuits to function (yes, their boiler is protected by the same RCD) or just didn't care. Jatin came back the following day after I had given Corgi a dressing down, telling them what he should have done and he immediately disconnected the ring main and got their heating working... I'm not a big believer in coincidence! Jatin then spent another 5 hours doing the same process of running around coming up with various excuses of faulty sockets only to leave informing my parents that he will contact Corgi, putting in his report that all sockets need replacing. At this point I'd had enough and after numerous heated phone conversations with Corgi another electrician was sent who, within an hour, had the issue resolved and everything back up and running... So much for the all sockets needed replacing theory! I later found out that Jatin had lied to Corgi about leaving my parents with no heating (he told them he had left them with power to their boiler and the heating up and running!), so I have now requested an entire copy of all communication regarding this issue and lodged a formal complaint... Corgi are now investigating and it will be interesting to see what their final outcome is. REPLY TO JATIN: Let's cut the cr*p shall we? There is no "we", just you, as shown by other reviews and as for the comment about best serving me in the future? Are you serious? You fail at the most basic of trouble shooting abilities and you fail at the most basic duty of care. In my opinion, to best serve me in the future, you should retrain and find another profession, something that will have less serious consequences should your lack of ability cause an issue. Judging by your number of company name and services offered changes over the last few years, you seem to struggle finding something to stick at (design to construction to renovations to gas and electrical). As for contacting you directly.... You attended, twice, you gave the poor service as I described above, all whilst contracted to Corgi. You and I both know I have to contact Corgi as the contract is made with them, not you. Add in the fact I feel that you are incompetent, there was no way I was going to let you back for a third time, so informed Corgi that I wanted an alternative engineer. It's only when pushed to know more about what happened that Corgi gave me your details, therefore I have written this honest review to warn others of what you feel is an acceptable level of service, especially to vulnerable clients. FYI, I've also taken the liberty to raise the above as a complaint with the various organisations you're registered with. I've also provided all information given to me by Corgi along with the report of the second engineer outlining the actual issue so they have the ability to judge for themselves your level of competency. I suspect they'll be in touch soon to discuss this with you.
Jatin was of great assistance. Really professional and tidy with his work as well as thoroughly checking everything was working again before he left.
I had a problem with my gas hob, Jatin was so polite and helpful, he resolved the issue extremely quickly. Highly recommend I will use his services again in the future
Today, Jatin has fixed the boiler dropping temperatures issue that was a pain for more than a year. Jatin was polite and concise. Great job, good service.
I had a problem with my landing light and bathroom lights. Jatin came straight away and fixed them . He was polite, tidy and very reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend him and his assistant.
My heating was broken on a really cold day One engineer came and could not do it. Then I google Western Gas Electric Ltd, Jatin arrived within an hour even in was 8 pm he diagnosed and fixed our heating He left at around 9pm after working all day. He was brilliant and kind and I would definitely use the company again.
After a bad experience with a previous company, I was recommended Western Gas & Electric Ltd to rewire my kitchen. I am very happy with the work. I would definitely recommend.
Used this electrician/gas guy twice now and both times outstanding workmanship with exemplary politeness. Fitted a replacement hob without issue and even came out the next day for free when I accidentally dropped a piece of the padding seal. Also turned out within thirty minutes and saved a lot of problems after I drilled through a live wire and blew the electrics. Great prices. I mistakenly chose another electrician recenty for a new fusebox as I mistook Western Gas & Electrics cheaper price as sign they were not paying VAT. Todaay I discovered that smaller sized electricians dont need to pay VAT unless earning £100, 000 a year. Regret not choosing this guy now for our new fusebox but will defintely be my go to guy again going forward. Highly recommend.
Jatin Verma came to our house to fix our heating problem on 11 January 2023. He checked our heating system for problem and fixed it and then checked it again and again to ensure it is working properly. He even texted me the next day to see if the heating is still working well or not. He is very down to the earth, very patient, very professional and of course has great expertise. I am very grateful to him to bring heat back to our house when the sub-zero temperature is coming again in a few days time.
Jatin was really polite and helpful. I called him on his mobile number, he answered immediately, he gave me a most competitive price, then arranged to install my Nest Learning thermostat and heat link the following morning. He sent a text the next morning, saying he would be with me in 20 minutes, and sure enough he arrived on time. He took his time installing the heat link near to my combi boiler, cleaning up the little mess that was made. He talked me through the settings on the thermostat, setting up the internet connection and installing the Nest app on my phone. A first class service, I would highly recommend him!
A difficult job to rectify, handled competently, conscientiously and successfully. Have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Western Gas and Electric Ltd.
Jatin was warm, friendly and professional, he used his ingenuity when the job was not straightforward, having to create a new pipe configuration while installing our gas hob. He also had to trim off a tile to make it fit. We are delighted with his services and will be calling on him again.
