Everything was done according to regulations and he was very knowledgable and no job was too big for him. Very clean and treated my home as it was his own. Affordable price with tremendous value. 10 year certification was also provided once work was complete for a piece of mind which also helped with my insurance renewal. Updated March 2025. MK Electrical UK did another job for us. They retired light fittings, replaced sockets, installed smoke detectors and updated the consumer unit. As before, the work was done promptly and to a high standard. Mose is meticulous, and also a pleasant person to deal with. I would absolutely recommend MK to anyone. I hired Mosey from MKUK Electrical Ltd to replace two electric heaters in my rental flat, a two-bedroom property. He was punctual, going round to the property as scheduled to provide a quote. He recommended an Economy 7 heater for the lounge and a standard heater for the bedroom, offering a very reasonable labour only quote and providing links for me to select the heaters I wanted. Since I couldn’t guarantee my tenant would be available to receive the heavy Economy 7 heater, I arranged for the heaters to be held at a branch for Mosey to collect, and he was more than accommodating. Despite coordinating everything over the phone, Mosey was reliable and quick to respond, completing the job within a week. He even took the time to check the extractor fan for us. Although I never met him in person, he earned my trust completely. I would highly recommend Mosey. Thank you for your great work!

Absolutely shocking and disgraceful!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We were trying to replace a mirror in the bathroom and disconnected the wires coming from the wall and going to the internal light. After doing this the ceiling lights and extractor stopped working. I called Mosey at MKUK Electrical to come and fix the problem, rather than try to find the fault on my own. He arrived and then proceeded to spend an hour telling me that every piece of wiring in my apartment was sub-standard and needed replacing: fuses were incorrect, the circuit breakers were set up wrong, some wires had likely blown and needed to be completely re-done, the cables used for the ceiling lights were incorrect, there was a second ceiling in the bathroom which wasn't standard (???). I explained that the building was only 30 years old and I had been here for the last 20 so I knew all the electrics were original but he continued to waste the first HOUR telling me wrong and irrelevant information rather than try to fix the problem I had asked him to look at. After the first hour (in which he had also done the classic time-wasting tricks of looking through his tool bag for minutes at a time, gone to his car for additional equipment and pretended not to have anything to mark the wires... until I gave him a pencil!) I asked him what his thoughts were. He continued to prattle on about unsafe wiring etc. so I told him in very blunt terms that he wasn't here for that and I wanted to know why my lights had stopped working. For context, the first hour is charged at £85 and he hadn't done anything useful at all! He tried to placate me by saying the second hour was only £45 and he would 'treat me right because he was a director of his company, not a contractor' but he could see that I was getting angry so he finally started to look into the actual fault. After another hour of useless fiddling he told me that my extractor fan was broken and needed to be cut off from the circuit to allow everything else to function. He did this and the lights came back on. I paid him his £130 and then went on Ebay to order a new fan (£40). After consulting the internet and doing some research of my own, it now turns out that the old extractor still works (I have got it running again by reconnecting the wires Mosey took out!) and the only thing that was required was to connect the exposed wires which had been running into the old mirror. See the screenshots attached. If you can spot the minor change from one image to the next then you can see how small the actual fix was! If Mosey had fixed the issue in 3 seconds (like I suspect he could have) then I would have happily paid him his £85 and given a five star review. As it is, I cannot help but believe that he is a conman who was only interested in exploiting my lack of knowledge and would have happily re-wired my whole apartment if I had trusted him. Do not trust this greedy man, he will do everything he can to dawdle and prolong his time in your home to get as much money from you as possible. Do not believe his lies and if he starts talking about updating your unsafe wiring, ask him to leave. It'll save you a lot of money! In the end, he charged me £130 to tell me my extractor fan was broken... which it isn't!! AVOID THIS CONMAN!! EDIT: After reading the response from Mose, it is saddening to see that he continues to state that the extractor fan was the issue. It is not and never was. I have reconnected the wires he removed and it works fine again. This has now been verified by another electrician so I have full confidence in saying that MKUK Electrical were never working in my best interest and lied to me about why the fault occurred. There were exposed wires because we were in the process of replacing a mirror when the lights stopped working. The fuse box was not in an unsafe manner and I do not accept his estimation of my 'unsafe' environment. Again, this has been verified since. Unfortunately, people like this are never able to look inwardly and accept when they have acted selfishly at the expense of others. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

I asked MKUK for an EICR report as the previous report was done by a surveyor who explained none of his findings to me and produced a report also lacking in clarity. MKUK is a total contrast. Mose was very happy to show me all the issues as he found them and explained clearly the solutions he recommended with the reasons. The report was equally clear, the remedial work, including a new consumer unit, was a good price and the outcome and final report were clear. Mose is a tidy worker and cleared up after. The house electrics are much improved and I would definitely recommend MKUK.

Mose was brilliant, going above and beyond when he only came to fit a wall light and replace some sockets - he noticed the earth readings were way too high, advised me to call National Grid and spoke to them to explain the problem, then came back once they had sorted out the problem to finish the job. Great company and truly a great electrician, very professional, tidy and I found him to be the most honest electrician I have met. I originally installed my own light switches in the house (fairly simple) however when i got to a three way switch, it kept tripping the breaker (thats where my limited DIY skills went out the window) so in haste I contacted the first Electrician company i saw in google and they picked up and sent a guy round, after 1hr a guy came literally with only a screw driver, after explaining what happened, the guy started tinkering and he seem somewhat capable at the time, and said he fixed it, after he left (in my mistake) i tested the lights and it tripped again, I called them back and he said he would come the following day. He comes the following day (same screw driver) and tinkers for 3 hours tripping the box, confusing himself, electrocuting himself up until I decided to see the company reviews and imidietly regretted and told him to leave (post losing money), I then called MKUK electrical, who in my forgetfulness or not saving the number, I had used in the past and was perfect, but came out the same night looked at and (didnt even charge me at 8pm) and said i will come back tomorrow and will fault find. Comes today with full kit of electrical stuff, meters, cables, wires all sorts (like what you would expect from a certified electrician) and dismantled the light switch, investigates the correct light wires, one by one, without a single trip of the breaker, and isolates and fixes the issue in 2 hours. I am so pleased with MKUK and will now and forever be my local electricians for all electrical work, really pleased and learnt from DIY and just want to say Highly recommend MKUK really you wont regret it.

MKUK recently moved my Electric Vehicle charger and did a fantastic, thorough job of the charger move. He came out initially to have a look at the new properties electric box, then relocated the charger the following day. He was very tidy and took time to explain in detail what had been done.
