Shine Electrics rewired and fitted lights through the house and the garden. They worked to fit around other trades we had in and always delivered excellent service and approached all aspects with a 'can do' attitude. I can not recommend Tom and his team highly enough. They are also very entertaining company which is a plus amongst the dust and the chaos of a building project a good laugh is worth a lot!!
Shine has completed EICRs for me and updated them when due. There was remedial works in some case that they carried out without fuss and at a reasonable price. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Got rewiring of my house done through shine last year. I think it was Edd and Tom who did it. Over the course of the year, I have found some issues with there work. For e.g. - I have had a consumer unit put into the garage as well which was meant to be used for connecting a car charger down the line and also some electrical appliances are running through it currently. They have put a 8 mm cable with a. Connector. Photos attached. What they should have ideally done is put a 25 mm cable. And, there have been other issues around putting isolator switches for the bathroom exhaust in loft :-). This was done to avoid doing some extra effort. The bigger issue is I have tried reaching out to them couple of times, once it was for a electrical fault and couple of other times. Not able to speak to them as well. So be extremely carefully when you deal with them since initially it is a new sale for them where they will be extremely responsive. But in future if you hit any issues with there work, it will be next to Impossible to get in touch with them. Lastly, they will cut corners and not do a job of high standard.
I would highly recommend. Matt was amazing throughout, completing the work to a high standard asked questions ensuring we was aware of options that was available. Communication was outstanding which was great. Stuck to the quote that he originally gave and tidied up as he went along. I will have no hesitation to use his service again.
Excellent, Professional, and Highly Recommended! I just recently bought my first home and needed help with some electrical issues. From the first moment I contacted Matt right up until the last job was completed he was incredibly friendly and amazingly professional. He was easily able to diagnose and fix the issues I was dealing with, being especially efficient at replacing some sockets that just would not fit, and providing and installing a brand new Fuse board! He also Installed some new bathroom lights, a new hallway light and even went into my attic to rewire and make safe some dodgy cables! I cannot recommend Matt and Shine Electrics enough!
Odd review I know but... Elderly, severely disabled lady I look out for had electrical fault. It was - with the benefit of a qualified electrician! - a straightforward fix. Tom happily advised on the phone how to resolve saving her a call out fee. So I have no doubt they're an honest, decent outfit: they're top of my list next time I have an electrics job. Our ageing downstairs electrics failed us towards the end of the summer, so we called Matt to help us out. We had a very full house; Matt helped us organise ourselves into making way for the job, suggesting lots of cost-saving approaches to help us prepare for the work and tidy up. Tom and the team did an excellent job for us - installing 3 light fittings, dimmers an extract fan and mounting our TV to a bracket (with a fairly complex drilling job associated with connecting it to the aerial). We told Tom the output and finish which we wanted - and left him and the team to devise how they were going to get there. Tom communicated promptly throughout and advised us of which products worked well for our requirements. The guys tidied up after themselves and were all very friendly and sociable. Great guys to do business with and a great job with all the works. Would recommend to anyone in the Surrey / London area who is looking to get electrical work done.
Fuse board replacement, down-lights upstairs and down, mount nest, front light and garage circuit Quite a big job completed by the team today which was all to a very high standard. The work was completed neat and tidy and any mess was cleared up. Would 100% recommend Shine Electrics. From the first call to the work being completed everything was well explained. I recently moved into a new property which had a variety of problems which needed fixing. Two of the team from Shine came round to do the work. They were quick and efficient, and answered my many questions and requests with knowledge, friendliness and patience. The work appears to have been done to a high standard and they tidied up well afterwards. It's a family business and they seem like genuinely nice guys. Would very highly recommend.
Had a full blown re-wire in our house which was occupied. Right decision moving out for the works to give the team free reign but incredibly courteous to neighbours and our items were properly protected from major dust etc. Tom & Edd were great at supporting my ever changing iterations and everything being open book made the process smooth. Great suggestions on some queries I had and minor tweaks post works were immediately accommodated. Will 100% use them again and definitely recommend them for others 👍👍

We had an unknown issue with our electrics tripping out and the Shine Electrics team were on the scene within hours. The fault was thoroughly tested, subsequently found swiftly and fixed perfectly. Dom was exceptionally knowledgeable and the workmanship to install the outside plug socket was impeccable.

Matt and Tom from Shine Electrics were very straightforward to work with and did an excellent job installing two lights and a socket plate. They also fixed an issue with a flickering light that the previous electrician had told me was caused by a faulty bulb. They also took the time to speak to my fiancée in depth about the electrical work they were doing while they were at the house. In the past, she has been bypassed or disrespected by tradespeople who oddly insist on speaking to me (a man) about the work we're having done! Two very likeable chaps who were easy to deal with and did a good job. I have already recommended them to a couple of mates and will continue to do so.

After needing some new lights for our lobby area in our shop, we looked around for local electricians to do the job. We chose Shine Electrics based on their reviews and gave them a go! Matt came to us and listened to what we needed; a couple of led ceiling light units to replace two existing old ballasts. After recommending a couple of options we chose the lights we were after and they were fitted and working in a short space of time, efficient and tidy too! I had a great experience shine electrics, a friendly family run business with brilliant communication. They recommend, supplied and fitted a set of new ceiling spotlights and i have to say i am very impressed. They also fitted a new dimmer switch and a new extraction fan switch. I noticed the next day the fan wasn’t quite working as it was before so contacted shine electrics and they came and took a look in a very fast fashion and solved the small wiring issue in no time at all. They was very happy to come back and double check their own work. I cant recommend shine electrics enough and I’ll be using them again in future.
I was booked in just 3 days after the quote and this was much appreciated. I had seen other reviews and hoped they would be good and they were. Despite good reviews they were the best quote I received out of 4 quotes. The guys that did the work were really friendly and efficient and had the work done really quickly to a high standard. What a crazy & stressful week I have had. Was let down on numerous occasions by another electrical company & Shine Electrics came and saved the day. Going to be totally honest, I needed work done urgently and didn't have time to review these guys before hand but after meeting Tom, that came across so genuine I just went with my gut! Not only that, but so quick. Tom came out, quoted the job and booked me in for 48hrs later all in perhaps the same hour. They liaised with my plaster too and just made everything run smoothly. I literally had my feet up. We then shortly met Matt (your very own Grant Mitchell), Eddie (Mr.Prankster) & of course our favourite "Fossil" (pops ;D). After my rental property failed the EICR I needed to find an electrician before my new tenant moved in. I contacted 5 electricians for quotes and only 2 got back to me. Responded immediately late night to confirm next day early morning appointment. Arrived on time and resolved issue within 30 mins. Stayed on to make sure water was running hot and even asked me to touch base in 1 week to put his mind at rest that there were no further Issues. After a recent spate of break ins in the area I was very concerned about my Mother in Law’s security. A 5 minute call to Matt had him out the next day and he then supplied and fitted very well priced motion sensor lighting to her garden. I called Shine electrics to install a new security light in my garden and new under cupboard lights in my kitchen. I found the service excellent from start to finish. When I phoned the make the appointment the person I spoke to was very friendly and professional. I had a electrical fault and the electrics kept tripping out at home. I made a few calls and I found no one wanted to help and if they did it it was an expensive call out. I spoke to Matt who asked a few questions to establish my fault. Straight away he was fault finding and putting my mind at ease. Once he arrived I had a full breakdown of what was wrong and how much it would cost to repair. He showed me 2 different suppliers and gave me 2 different prices and explained the pro's and cons of the 2 different fuse boards. I now feel save and my electrics are perfect and the service from Matt at Shine Electrics was amazing. As a women we don't know electrics but Matt is a lovely kind man who had my best interests from the first phone call. I was having trouble getting anyone to answer the phone let alone get a quote for work to be done. I appreciate it was nearly Christmas but I had NO electric at home! After more searching I come across shine electrics who basically saved my Christmas. Before I knew it Matt was at my door ready to take a look at my fault. I was given a full breakdown of what was wrong and given a cost of how much it would cost to repair. No call out charge and nothing extra because of what time of the year it was. Shine electrics went above and beyond and should be top of Google for excellent customer service!
Was having issues finding out why Main fuse box was tripping after installing a new fuse unit in the garage. Bumped into these guys at electrical supplies shop and asked them for advice they were very approachable and offered there and then to come take a look. They resolved the issue very quickly and did a couple of other bits as we were paying for the first half hour. Top guys highly recommend.

They were a delight to have in my property, very helpful, advising what would suit and work best with my space and natural lighting. They were very professional and left my bathroom clean and tidy. Also worked to the agreed quote. I’ve had work done previously where this hasn’t been the case, even when the brief remained unchanged.

I put a request in for a full bathroom fitting and they turned up on time for the estimate. They pointed out a few inefficiency’s that were unexpected in the bathroom, which took a good few hours to fix and I wasn’t charged extra. They stuck to their word on the price and overdelivered
Fantastic service - the time taken from my phone call to them leaving the flat was unlike any other service I've ever received. They are incredibly skilled and knew about 5 different ways to check for the problem I was having, found a solution and fixed it, and were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend these guys. They took over the upgrade of a fuse box to consumer unit that had been messed up and left in a dangerous state by another contractor. They took the time to understand what had happened, what should have happened and what needed to happen to rectify the situation Then they came and got it done. They were friendly, punctual and tidy and kept me informed throughout the work.
Shine electrics recently changed all our lights to LED fittings. The team arrived on time finished the job before schedule and were very tidy. A small issue was later rectified efficiently and with a smile. This is how aftercare service should be. We will be using them again very soon. Highly recommended!

He made sure we had thought through where we needed our new lights and sockets so it made sense and worked practically. Matt and Edd came to carry out the works and they were fantastic, tidy, hard working, polite and we happy to talk us through any aspect of the job and make recommendations when we added loft lights and outside lights.
