Ashford Electrical

Ohme Pro charger installed several months ago but suddenly stopped charging. Seemed to be 'Dead'. Ohme were no help. Ash came out and replaced the circuit breaker. No charge - all part of the service.

I was recommended to Ashford Electrical by a friend who had a large extension to their house, to which Ashford Electrical worked on. I am soon taking delivery of an Electric Vehicle and needed a home charging point in my garage. I contacted Ashford Electrical, Ashley came to do a survey and gave a very reasonable estimate. It was not just a straightforward installation as cables had to go underground. Ashley the next week installed the EV charger and did a very neat job, including sweeping up dust from drilling and worked until 8pm to get the job finished. Ashley has also promised to return when I take delivery of the car to talk me through using the charger. I can’t recommend Ashley more highly, and a thoroughly nice man. Thank you Ashley.

Great communication & got the job done well

After being told by Octopus that they couldn’t install my Tesla charger, and following a failed attempt by Ohme, I spent over a month searching for an electrician who could take on the job. Fortunately, I was referred to Ashford Electrical—and I couldn’t be happier with the service. They provided excellent, prompt, and highly professional support from start to finish. After a successful quotation which i decided to accept due to the detail of work needing to be carried out on the installation of a consumer unit. Ash arrived on time and worked in a very professional way to complete the task. Provided the required certificate for this type of installation. Would recommend him to all.

Ashley was very responsive on a couple of occasions. I had an electric shower repaired the same day I called. He also answered my call on a Sunday morning and patiently guided me remotely through the steps for restoring the power in our home after a faulty appliance brought it down. What a life saver! I recently moved to a new house and within 2 hours (at 8.30pm) I was sat in the dark with no lights or power and 2 hungry children! I called the mobile number on the website and the person who answered called me back on a video call and walked me through what to do to fix the problem despite him being away for the weekend. Would have been easy to send someone round for an easy call out charge but he was really helpful and sorted the issue. Will definitely be using again for future jobs.

Very impressed with the service that I received when I contacted them for a light fitting in my dining room- he gave me a quote and told me that he could do the job later that day same day! Ash the electrician checked other light fittings and found the problem. He rewired the kitchen light and secured it as it was wobbly - he did not charge me for all the extra work that he did. By law unless you agree payment terms, the customer has 30 days to pay for a job. Ashford Electrical carried out a £90 job for us on early Saturday evening, and then was harassing us for payment on the Sunday and first thing Monday morning while I was getting my child ready for school. I could have paid him with cash while he was here but he never asked for it. The invoice might have been sent on Saturday evening, but by 8am on Monday I genuinely hadn’t even looked at it. Why should I? But that wasn’t good enough for Ashford Electrical. He still chased me for payment by phone later that week, even though he had no legal right to do so. Worst ever experience with a trader.

Fabulous service received by Ash. We called him as some of the lights wouldn’t work after a power cut. He was polite and arrived within an hour of my phone call! Great service, and came back again to fix the remaining repairs in daylight. Would highly recommend as he is honest and reliable, and on time (bonus!) . Will be using Ash again.
