Excellent service. Gary completed a full re-wire of my 1930s house, including wiring in a new kitchen. He completed the job to a very high standard, using high quality fittings and working around all the challenges a property this age can bring. Gary first came for an urgent call out for my parents’ very rundown 60s house with shockingly bad old wiring, after another (awful) electrician “fixed” some sockets and caused further issues. I was so happy with Gary’s efficiency, skill, professionalism and cost, that we then got him back in for the full rewire. He was efficient, friendly, timely, and highly skilled. Also very understanding about the house and circumstances. He was very patient and explained everything clearly as I have no clue about any of it. I wouldn’t use any other electrician in future. Also as a lone woman trying to sort this house for my parents, I felt entirely comfortable with Gary throughout, and from experience, that isn’t always the case. I highly recommend him.

We called Gary on a Saturday during Bank Holiday weekend. He offered offered free advice over the phone and was very patient - despite my panic with the situation. In the end we were able to troubleshoot the problem ourselves but it would not have been possible without Gary's free advice. Gary came out as an emergency call last night, my house alarm was going off and wouldn’t disable. He was quick and efficient in a stressful situation, after having one emergency electrician cancel on me after I waited 45 mins and a neighbour coming to shout at me for the alarm going off. I asked him to decommission the alarm which he did quickly and assured me the alarm would never go off again. Thank you!

Very happy with the service provided by Gary at Orrell Electrics. Found him via his web-site. He came round quickly to see what I wanted and explained how I could go about it. He booked the work for a few days later, arrived on time, and completed the tasks in a couple of hours. The ethernet cable is fantastic and we finally get the band width we are paying for. I will use this firm next time too for room lighting etc. I can honestly say, I feel I got a five star service.

Gary arrived at the specified time to fix my electrical emergency. He was very thorough in finding the problem and explained everything to me in layman’s terms. After a kitchen socket blowing, causing me to lose all power in my house, Gary (on a Sunday evening) made an emergency call out and thankfully was able to get my electricity back on. Thanks to a cowboy builder, the electrics in my new kitchen were a dangerous mess and the rest of my house needed a re-wire. After such a bad experience that caused so much stress and anxiety, I was very nervous about being ripped off again. I found Gary through a search on Google and the first thing I noticed was his home address and phone number were published which is not something you're going to do if you're a cowboy. His website made it clear he was NICEIC approved and his reviews spoke for themselves. During his initial visit to give us a quote he went out of his way to talk us through the options available to get the job done, patiently answering any questions we had and providing us with advice and reassurance that he would get the job done and ensure our house was safe again. His price was extremely reasonable and I can honestly say that he is an absolute professional. I was so grateful that he managed to make the electrics safe in my kitchen without damaging the new units and the plasterer I hired commented on how neat the chasing was throughout the house and in his words "sparks usually just take a hammer to the walls but he's clearly made a lot of effort to minimise the damage". After completing the job on time, Gary immediately sent me my safety certificates and also sent me a report of his findings from the work that was previously carried out which I can use to take further action against the cowboy builder. I would hate anyone else to have to go through the bad experience I had so I would urge you to do your research before hiring anyone to do work in your house, especially if it's the gas or electrics as safety can be the difference between life or death. Gary has helped restore my faith in tradesmen and I can't thank him enough for his brilliant work. I wouldn't hire anyone else to do my electrics in future, even if that means waiting weeks or even months until he's free to do the job.

Called Orrell Electrics out of hours couple of days ago due to the worrying sound coming from my circuit box. Read the reviews and wanted an NICEIC Electrician, called up and within 20minutes a knowledgeable Electrician was at the door and had the issue fixed rather than just made safe within 30minutes. Gary arrived on time, and proceeded to fix all the electrics that we thought had been fitted correctly over the years. Everything done correctly, Bathroom lights , downlights extractor fan light, and all our messy wiring in a very dusty, compact loft. (sorry about that). The difference in his quality of work compared to previous installations was immense. Only one electrician going to carry work out in this house and thats Gary from Orrell Electrics.

May I take this opportunity to thank Gary for the care and consideration taken while carrying out the full re-wire of our home. I contacted Gary regarding the assessment and fixing of electrics in my flat. Although my family live in Liverpool it is not possible for myself to be in Liverpool on a regular basis. This was not a problem when dealing with Gary. His communication was wonderful, I either phoned or emailed him. Phone calls were answered/replied to in a short amount of time, email's were answered within an hour or so. He was able to fully explain all the work he was due to complete, how he planned to do it and why it was required - all without being confusing or patronising. I received, by email, clear and comprehensive copies of the assessments done and invoices due. When I returned home this weekend to check the work I found it to be of a high standard with all jobs completed. Gary had informed me that they had cleaned up after themselves and I can verify this, there was not one bit of mess left from them to note. Regarding the price, I found it to be very reasonable. I would happily use Gary again if I required an electrician and if anyone else is wanting an honest electrician then I would recommend that you use Gary.
Very impressed, we've tried a few Electricians in Liverpool but Gary was by far the most professional and helpful. We have no idea about electrics and Gary helped to first correct the fault and the lose of power and explain how to use our control board and what to check if we have any problems in future.
