Dave and his colleagues were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and honest from the start. They arrived quickly to assess the issue we were having with a blocked drain, and were really clear when explaining how they would fix the issue and how much it would cost. They were also super honest, even performing tests to confirm that other drain issues (further up the pipe and unknown to us) were on a shared drain and therefore united utilities responsibility, even when it would have been very easy to withhold that information and charge us for additional repairs. They made a really stressful situation a whole lot more manageable. Could not rate them more highly!

Kitchen sink was backing up badly. Called them late afternoon, they were at my door within two hours. Cleared the blockage with a high pressure hose, no harsh chemicals, no mess. The tech explained what caused it grease buildup and gave me a few practical tips to avoid a repeat. Price was exactly what they quoted over the phone. Quick, clean, and no drama. Dave came out a few weeks ago to unblock a sewer drain that previously United Utilities had been out to and said that it was on my private land and they weren’t responsible for, Dave soon worked out that it wasn’t on my property therefore UU problem. Dave helped me with my complaint with UU, which eventually after they had done there job properly worked out that the problem was a collapsed sewer in my neighbours garden and therefore there responsibility. I would definitely recommend the drain unblocking co.Ltd.

Dave came round and unblocked our outside drain for us not long after we moved in and it had clogged up. The first time he did it, he assessed the state of the drain system with a camera and told us that it was in a poor state and would keep on happening. Lesson: get a drain survey when you buy a house! We called him out a few times over the next year or so and he graciously only charged us the minimum price rather than the jetwash, as he knew there was a larger problem. Over time he showed us that the pipework was cracked and collapsing. After a few visits, we discussed a solution. He outlined what needed to happen, a big job, but explained it to us in detail and I've learnt a lot as a result. We decided to take him up on his quote to rebuild the system, work that involved digging up the driveway and building a new system entirely. The work was carried out in good time, to a high quality (the driveway looks better than it did before), and he paused and brought us in to look at it to explain strep by step what he was doing. He linked all our separate drains from the house which probably hasn't been looked at in years. A really honest, helpful and cheerful guy, who really helped us out. Thanks for all your work!

Despite having a full calendar Dave changed his plans to help with an urgent leak from a suspected blocked drain that was causing damage to my property. Arrived within 45 mins and quickly identified the issue. Fixed the problem, left the job tidy and checked up again the following day to make sure everything was OK. This isn't the first time Dave has been out to help with our drains. After numerous plumber visits over a 12 month period, i called Dave and he identified what was causing our smelly drains within minutes and again it was fixed. It is not often you find reliable, knowledgeable and decent tradespeople so I am thankful I have found this company. 100% recommend using The Drain Unblocking Co.

I'd been suffering with occasional sewage smells in the house for months. I txted The Drain Unblocking Company and they gave me a quote for unblocking straight away. They arrived the next day, quickly diagnosed the problem (sure enough it was blocked). They jet cleaned the blockage away, removed the cause (some broken brick) and showed me on their cctv setup the clean drain and explained everything i wanted to know about my drains, he was very knowledgeable! It was £180 inc vat for the service, worth every penny!

Amazing as always. Having used them in our last house to fix the work of some cowboys, we had their number on hand when we needed it. In this house we have been having trouble with a flooding basement. We thought it might be a blocked drain, but once on site they found a gully drain that was so overgrown and collapsed i didn't even know of it's existence. After clearly explaining the problem and having tested the theory with dye, we agreed a course of action and the work was done quick and clean in a single day. Can't recommend them enough. Though wouldn't mind never needing them again if you know what i mean.
We uncovered a major problem with a broken drain gulley and subsequent flooding of drain water under the suspended floor of our new house. Dave provided an excellent service to replace the damaged gulley and then went above and beyond to return and drain all the smelly drain water out from under the house when we realised the pump i'd bought wasn't up to the job. I highly recommend Dave he was amazing he came out to my saniflow pump after I had got ripped off with another plumber Dave and another lad was trying to fix it for over an hour unfortunately it couldn't be fixed but they tried and wouldn't take any money off me. He was very helpful and gave me all the advise I needed about getting a new pump Dave even said he would come out and fit the new one. Dave was really quick at replying to my messages when I was asking him questions and came out really quickly too. I really can't recommend him enough.

What a refreshing change..an honest, reliable, knowledgable tradesman who is willing to go the extra mile and give a good service. After much confusion by a big drain company around whether our flooding rainwater drain was caused by tree roots, or not, we asked Dave to take a look for a second opinion. After camera inspection he could find no blockage or problem with tree roots but suggested we reroot the guttering away from an internal drain linking to a store room to stop any further internal problems ..which was sensible advice for a long term solution. Unfortunately the next downpour of rain caused another flood so we contacted Dave who was very helpful and suggested contacting United Utilities as he thought the problem was off-site, not on our premises. His thoughts were completely right as they also confirmed my drain was clear but they did find a huge tree root blockage off-site which United Utilities are responsibility for. Unfortunately my drain was the nearest point of outlet for the build up of water! Dave has now rerooted the internal drain for us and done a great job. We can not recommend his company highly enough and will be sure to use them again in the future. Thank you Dave for great advice and a great job.

Very professional service. Highly recommend: one of my waste pipes had dislodged causing my drain to overflow. Dave and his team came out immediately to replace the pipe and relay the block paving to a high standard. On another occasion the main United Utilities drain, further down the lane, had become blocked. Dave came out on bank holiday Monday to find out where the blockage was and flushed the main drain through so my neighbours and I could continue to use our facilities until united utilities arrived two days later. Used these guys thinking we had a blocked drain however upon inspection with the camera was clear that the problem was more serious and the drain had collapsed under the house Dave was fantastic even talking to the insurance for us as we had no understanding of drains and made sure we had some facilities for the weekend and carrying out the work to a high standard . Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was fantastic he went above and beyond. It was only by chance we found this company but will 100% be recommending them in the future, and hopefully we will never need to but if we ever experience a problem in the future there is absolutely no question who we’ll call ... the drain unblocking company.
