A P Plastering & Damp proofing

Anthony’s done two lots of work for me in two different houses recently and I can’t recommend him enough. Great guy, very helpful and knowledgeable and both jobs have been to a top quality.

I have been having problems with rising damp for quite a while with many a contractor trying to fix it. Many ££££s later I finally found someone that knows what he's on about. Anthony came promptly and talked me through the problems and explained how it needed to be fixed. We agreed a price which I thought was very fair and the work was completed within the time frame. All areas were left clean and tidy. If you have any damp issues at all then this is the man to call.

Anthony from AP Plastering and Damp Proofing was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He completely resolved my damp issue. I’m really happy with the service and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing help with damp proofing. Great experience!

Antony is very knowledgable and has been a lifesaver when it’s come to my rental property. Not having experience with mould issues, he helped identify the root of the issue - which saved me a lot of money. Communication is brilliant and his pricing is fair for his high quality of work. There’s a lot of damp specialists, however Antony stands out as a genuinely lovely and honest guy - hard to find people that give you advice without the £ add-ons. Highly recommend!

Anthony has just finished my kitchen/utility room for rising damp... What a fantastic job he has done... Good price and cleaned up after the job... I would highly recommend him if you need any damp sorting

Recommended - explained everything, did work on time and to high standard, good price, great to deal with

I recently had some damp and plastering work done at my property, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Very professional, communicated well and kept the area tidy throughout. They took real care with preparation and made sure every surface was properly finished to a high standard. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality damp work and plastering.

Anthony was amazing, although he is very busy and we had to wait a while before he could fit us in I am so glad we waited, the work he carried out was outstanding, cleaned up the best he could as he went along. Highly satisfied with the work he had done. Even helped us out with some more work we needed sorted. I would recommend Anthony to anyone. It is a great big thank you from us.

Great. Came at agreed time. Communicated well. Good job, clean and tidy. Was cheaper than expected. Very pleased. I will use Anthony again.

Can’t thank Antony enough for the brilliant work that he did. He gave us a really good price, completed the work efficiently and to a great standard. Would 100% recommend

The best at what he does

I could not be any happier with the work. I’ve had Anthony in on two occasions now and he’s always been on time with no messing around. I would recommend him to anyone with plastering or damp proof needs

Anthony consistently demonstrates exceptional professionalism, providing valuable advice and high-quality workmanship during multiple visits to my residence. His integrity and reliability are exemplary, and his work is meticulously executed.

Anthony came out and provided a really reasonable quote, we booked him for the work and he was brilliant, he did a fantastic job, he was very clean and tidy, we have booked him for more work and would definitely recommend him.

WOW, Antony came out and identified a damp issue along 2 walls in our living room and dining area. He quoted a very reasonable price to rectify the problem and I can honestly say he went above and beyond what I expected. Turned up exactly when he said he would, minimal disruption, exceptionally clean & tidy. But more importantly did a superb job in solving our damp issue's. Would highly recommend to anyone including all my friends & family. Great job Antony 👍

Delighted to have found Antony at AP Plastering. He is very knowledgeable and full of useful advice. I can highly recommend his services for all matters damp related.

Anthony came out, explained the issues, and quoted reasonably and quickly. We had others who didn't even turn up to quote when they said they would! He was true to his word, did a great job, cleaned up perfectly and made sure to check we were happy with proposed finish. He also came back to fix a minor issue we'd missed, within a day. Really reliable, trustworthy and great job!

Antony has restored my faith in humanity. What a lovely man to deal with. He explained that the damp and evidence of black mould appearing along the walls just above the skirting boards behind our large units in the lounge was due to damp internally rather than rising damp from outside. Before resorting to pulling all the plaster off, he recommended we get a dehumidifier (Blyss from Screwfix). Amazing machine! Also to move the units 1ft from the walls to allow air to circulate. We collected 10 litres of water over a 2 week period! The moisture in the air was due to drying clothes indoors and also steam from the shower which had gradually built up and condensed on the coldest walls. He recommended we treat the mould with Dryzone mould removal and prevention kit which we have. We have now stopped drying clothes indoors and we use the dehumidifier in the bathroom for an hour as well. I am pleased to say the walls are a lot drier and we barely get any water when using the dehumidifier in the lounge. Antony has potentially saved us thousands of pounds. There are a lot of wide boys out there who want money from you before they even set foot through your door! Beware of them as you feel tied in before you even know the final cost. Thank you so much Antony for your help and guidance with this, you are one of lifes gems. Best reards Tracey.

We have just had Ap plastering and damp after having damp issues in our kitchen and living room. Antony came and explained everything that needed doing. He turned up on time and his workmanship was excellent. This is the second time we have had this damp proofing done in the same areas in our home because the previous company we had did a very bad job and the damp came back after a few months and we had to call them back to put this right, they did come back to sort this out but didn't resolve the problem at all and after 2 years the damp returned. We contacted Anthony at AP Plastering and damp to ask if he could come and do the job as we didn't want the company back who did the original work for us, we had since had a small job done by him which he did promptly with a fantastic result. Antony had to correct work that this other company had messed up, he explained all the problems and faults on the original job which we were shocked with and we are so glad we contacted Ap plastering, they did a great professional job, and to say the work of taking off plaster is a very dirty dusty job, they do not leave any mess, so clean and tidy all the way through and would highly recommend this company to anyone needing damp proofing and plastering work. Wish we had had AP Plastering in the first place to do the work, which would have saved us a lot of hassle, stress and money. Thank you AP Plastering and damp for a very professional job.

Fantastic job done by A P Plastering, we had rising damp issues in two areas, Anthony suggested the route to go in solving them and we went along with them. I am really pleased with the finished job. We weren’t looking forward to having the job done as we know how much mess removing plaster does, but they made sure everything was covered and there was no mess at all. All the waste was removed and the finished job is perfect. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending A P Plastering and have already booked them to do some further plastering work in one of our bedrooms. Anthony is a great guy who knows his trade, definitely 5 star.

Antony was excellent. Did a great job and was very informative too.

Great service by Antony. Came out and quoted quickly, great price and service. Would highly recommend

Anthony from AP Plastering and Damp Proofing has been amazing! He took the time to consult with me over the phone about damp issues in my home and offered expert advice on how to best address them. His experience and knowledge are evident, and I’m really grateful for his help. Massive thanks to Anthony!

Fantastic service ⭐️ Anthony responded really quickly and was extremely informative with the problem we had. He managed to come out and deal with the issue in a really timely manner. Couldn’t be happier with how good the job is and how clean Anthony was. From personal experience finding excellent plasterers is hard enough, let alone who can do the damp as well. Hopefully, I’ll never have damp issues again but I’d definitely be in touch with Anthony for plastering in the future.

I highly recommend AP Plastering & Damp Proofing, who very kindly sorted two damp patches in my house, one patch had been there several years. Antony and his team turned up when they said they would, and got on with things until the work was done, which is always a massive relief. They are very professional, knowledgeable, clean and tidy, and my walls now look fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble, even ensuring I had paint on my walls before the radiator was re-fitted, to ensure a professional finish. Not only that, but when Antony kindly arranged for my radiator to be put back on after the damp had been sorted, his colleague noticed an issue that no one else had ever picked up on, and fixed that for me too, meaning that several years of a leaky radiator are no more. I couldn't be happier with their work, they were very kind, hard working to a high standard, and made me feel at ease and confident in their work. Their aftercare is also second to none, as Antony kept in touch with me to make sure everything was okay in the days after they had finished. Job well done guys. I can't thank you enough 😃

Not usually one for leaving a review but just had to on this occasion. These guys are brilliant. Really professional and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more, super helpful and understanding. The work speaks for itself in the pictures. Really happy with the results. Would definitely recommend

Anthony is absolutely amazing at his job, and so knowledgeable about many many other house related issues, other than damp! Fixed the damp problem quickly, efficiently, and went above and beyond, keeping everything absolutely immaculate in the process. Really friendly and easy going, and clearly passionate about his services and working hard. He kept us in the loop at every stage too. Highly recommend, and will definitely be using him and his excellent skills for further work in the future. Thank you so much for everything Anthony!

Always done a great job for me, and not over priced, had quotes for damp in small areas that was close to £1000 for each area.

Antony was brilliant; fantastic job; very knowledgeable; explained what he would need to do and why; professional and polite from the 1st meeting: he even called a week after completing the work to ensure I was still happy; his work is first class and left the house clean and tidy; cannot thank him enough; brilliant job and would highly recommend; thank you Antony

Great communication and great job! Did an additional repair also free of charge whilst doing the damp work. Left it tidy and.clean too. Would definitely recommend ! 👍🏼

Antony sorted the damp and mould problem in our nursery within 2 days and to such a high standard. Very friendly and professional, has more than extensive knowledge, went above and beyond for us and gave lots of advice on other parts of the house. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be using again in the future as so pleased with the result. Thank you for doing such a fab job!

Anthony damp proofed our cellar 10 years ago with no issues at all. Just returned to another job for us. Great guy highly recommend.

Cannot recommend Antony enough for his outstanding work that he recently completed for us. We had a small area of damp in one of the alcoves. Antony called and quoted a very reasonable price for the work. He is a very conscientious hardworking chap and goes above and beyond to get the job done. Will be keeping his card for any future work. Thank you Antony

Came out and quoted, then waited 3 months for the work to be done as he was so busy, he was definitely worth the wait and so glad I chose him to do the job, always professional from start to finish, knew exactly what he was talking about and I have full confidence in his work. Highly recommended 5 🌟 service.

Without doubt Antony is the best tradesman to have supported my home. Exceeded my expectations and I thoroughly, 100% recommend him to anyone. Antony is honest, goes the extra mile and is so clean/tidy. True Professional.

Antony did two jobs for me at my last house and was super quick to respond when I called this time. Reliable, professional - does what he says he’s going to & when he says he’ll do it - and is happy to walk you through so you’re not left with questions. Job finished brilliantly - and I’ve just noticed he took the re plaster of a wall over a hole I needed to fill without me even asking. Easy to recommend. Leaves the place clean and tidy. Thank you!

I am so pleased with the work carried out by Antony. He not only sorted the damp problem in my living room and kitchen but came up with some excellent solutions to other bits and bats that needed fixing in my house. He cares about his work which is sadly not something that can be said for every trades person these days. He is friendly, funny, experienced, honest and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend him a million times over. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The quote to fix a section of damp was competitive, they turned up on time and I was very happy with the quality of the work undertaken

We discovered some woodworm in the floor of one of our bedrooms. Antony advised we removed what we could and then came and treated the affected areas. Our home is in a state of mid-refurbishment yet he still made the effort to clean up after himself and leave a tidy trail. He gave us good, honest advice all throughout, explained the process, and shared his knowledge and experiences which reassured us on the issue. He was great company too and a pleasure to be around.

Anthony has just recently finished some work for me in my terraced house. Very cheap work for the standard of quality, 10/10.

Antony diagnosed rising damp in my dining room which was done incorrectly by a previous tradesman when I purchased the house. He was very communicative, punctual, tidy and I felt comfortable leaving him in the house. Would recommend and use again

Antony did a fantastic job sorting out my mould issue. Went above and beyond and explained everything. I would highly recommend.

Antony completed a very good job for us. He is very professional, experienced and his work is carried out to a high standard. He completed the work and tidied the area up beautifully. Would have no hesitation in using him again.

Good guy, you get what it says on the tin, I would recommend Anthony, if you have problems give him a call,

Damp proof work completed prompt and professional, excellent service

We had a recurring issue where our plaster kept bubbling over peeling. Antony came in and instantly diagnosed the issue as rising damp. He and his colleague were very friendly, professional and tidy. They talked us through the entire process and did it in a timely manner. In the end we were very happy with the result. We can't rate them enough.

Superb work friendly and knows what hes doing... absolutely outstanding service from begining to end.. once finished cleaned up and did not leave any mess behind. Could not recommend highly enough and thankyou so much for making a disaster perfect again.

Adrian game to test the damp (which had been reported by the surveyor) and he couldn’t find any. He could easily have said he’d found something and charged me for unnecessary work. Good to see honesty like this.

One line that they’re busy but thanks for the “inquiry” glad I didn’t go with them.

I have used Anthony seven years ago to damp proof our living room. He responds quickly to calls, his quotes are very reasonable, and the quality of work excellent. He was also able to recommend tradesmen for other work that needed completing, all of whom were equally professional and competent in their work. I recently noticed some further damp in our hallway. I called Anthony who came out quickly, quote was great and he completed the work in a very timely manner. He went above and beyond to offer me advice on other areas of home improvement I was considering, and to top it all is a thoroughly nice guy. We would highly recommend. Thanks Anthony.

Anthony did a brilliant job with our damp proofing, would certainly recommend him.....

Antony recently completed some damp proof work in my living room. He has been prompt and professional from the beginning. The work has been finished to a very high standard and no job has been too much. After what I expected to be a very messy job, Antony did an amazing job at making this less so. The living room was left tidy at the end of each day. I would highly recommend Antony in the future.

Very helpful and attentive. Great attention to detail and always clean as they go. I highly recommend Ap plastering they were simply amazing. Very trustworthy

Having just had AP Plastering & Damp Proofing in my home carrying out works, what can I say!!! They were professional in every sense. The team were down to earth and did an excellent job. No job was too big no job was too small. Every part of the job was conducted with the greatest care. They were always on time and very responsive. They cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to have doing the works. I found them very trustworthy in every sense. Absolutely amazing team cannot recommend them highly enough.

Prompt service, very good quality of work. Cleaned up after themselves to a great standard. Explained the damproofing process to me. Would highly recommend 👌

we called Anthony after discovering word-worm in our floorboards, he was the ultimate professional, gave us immediate advice and assessed the problem. The job in dealing with the word worm was thorough, high quality and we we left very happy with his services, could not have asked for anything more. Would have no hesitation in recommending Anthony to anyone and using his services again

Ant and his team did an amazing job on some bad rising damp we had in our porch and other areas of the house. Quick, friendly, professional and efficient - We highly recommend his services and will definitely use AP for any jobs in the future.

Antony knows his stuff. Honesty, professional and friendly service. Was so helpful at working round my work/home needs. Great job, highly recommended.

Antony and his assistant were pleasant prompt, professional, and hard working. They did a good job of damp proofing my old terraced cottage and cleaned up well after themselves. Very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

Anthony was so helpful from start to finish following a damp issue at a property we were buying. He explained everything and his work was not only exceptional but very competetive. Also a really friendly guy! Definitely recommend and would use him again in an instance!

I recommend Anthony 100%. He has done a brilliant job sorting out a damp wall in my bedroom. He diagnosed the problem on his first visit which was leaking gutters but suggested we wait to see if the wall dried out once this was fixed before proceeding with any work. He won’t carry out work unnecessarily. Unfortunately the wall was not drying out due to issues with the brickwork. Once we knew this Anthony made an effort to get the required work done as quickly as possible as I had a new carpet to be fitted. His work is a high standard, he’s trustworthy, reliable, reasonable prices & a really nice guy.

Excellent service highly recommend great price damp problem sorted thank you Anthony

In a nutshell, AP Plastering offer a brilliant service. Professional, polite, and punctual, what more could you ask for. Highly recommended.

I would recommend AP Plastering for damp proofing work. Pleased with the service throughout the process from the initial quote to completion of the job.

I can't rate Anthony enough, he was very professional and knowledgable. He came to look at the rising damp in my room, even though he wasn't expecting to do the job, as he was booked up so far ahead and I was due to move into the property and couldn't wait until he was available. In the end, I waited for Anthony as he was obviously the best choice, he explained re the rising damp and the procedures involved and inspired me with full confidence. The work was carried out very professionally and to an outstanding finish. He was punctual, and tidied up efficiently every night and when the work was finished he came and checked it was drying out all ok and arranged for the skirting board to be fitted when the plaster was dry enough. I would most definitely recommend him.

Absolute legend. Simple as that. I had 2 other plasterers round to take a look at the damp, one told me to repaint the outside of my house and the other was clueless. I had about 3 damp specialists just not even turn up to quote. When I came across AP Plastering & Damp Proofing I wasn't sure what to expect. Anyway came around with all the right gear, did a proper analysis of the job and then booked in a day to get it sorted. Kept in contact, turned up on time, turned up with all the right gear, was super professional from start to finish. Truly a nice guy, and a proper tradesman which is hard to come by these days. Would certainly recommend to friends, family and anyone reading this, don't even bother with others, contact these guys and you will not regret it. We had an issue with damp high up the walls, no messing, knew the issue straight away and knew his plan of action. Thanks again!

Damproofing and replastering a wall. Highly satisfied with Anthony's work both in price and quality. Turned up on time, explained everything in detail left it clean tiday and even removed the rubbish. Highly recommended and would definitely use again Geoff. .

When I was completely new to the area and knew nobody I had to research a local damp proofing company. I got four or five quotes. Anthony was not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive either, however he was the only one that explained the process in full and offered an insurance backed guarantee. He did the job when he said he would, always arrived on time and left the place spotless. He has since done work on my daughters house, exceptionally good value and an excellent job once again. Anthony will always go the extra mile, and ALWAYS turns up when he says he will. I wouldn't just recommend him I would urge you to use his services for any damp proofing needs.

I've used Antony and his team twice, once in our old house and more recently at my dad's house. Knowledgeable, professional and delivers results. Communication throughout the works was first class. Highly recommended.

Antony was recommended by a friend and I would 100% recommend him to anyone. He was professional, punctual, reasonably priced and friendly . He also left my house incredibly tidy and followed up to check that I was happy with everything

Found Antony after researching local damp proofing specialists in our area and so glad that we did. Antony damp proofed and re-plastered our living room following a problem with rising damp. He did a fantastic job, arriving promptly every day and taking the time to explain the processes. He contacted us again the moment the walls were ready for new skirting boards to be fitted. A friendly, genuine and honest guy who provides a quality and competitively priced service. We would highly recommend Antony for any damp proofing and plastering work.

Antony damp proofed and plastered our wall - did a great job and is very polite and professional. Really pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him. Thank you!

Anthony is polite honest and reliable, his work is excellent. I personally don't trust tradespeople just my opinion, but Anthony is special, he turns up does a good job, does not tell me fibs, and does not rip me off. I have used him lots of times, that's special to me, well done and thankyou Anthony.

Excellent job and very friendly, well priced would definitely recommend

You always take a leap of faith when contacting businesses to undertake work at your property, but we found Antony to be very professional, friendly and knowledgable re our damp proof problem. We needed a large area damp proofing and plastering and the work undertaken was top notch. Antony helped us out no end, as he was able to help us with a joiner, who also did great job. Would not hesitate recommending Antony for any damp proofing/plastering needs and he fully deserves a 5 star rating.

From first phone call to job completion I have been so impressed. They are so happy to discuss in detail what is wrong and to show you the actual damp. Good honest pricing, I highly recommend them

Just had my walls damp proofed and plastered and what a great job Antony did from start to finish. Would highly recommend him and I would definitely be using him again. Thank you Antony for a great job.

Antony and his team dealt with a damp issue in my living room and did a full plaster skim of the whole room. They were very punctual, professional and friendly and always left things clean and tidy after each visit. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a good professional job doing.

Professional job done clean very happy with end result thank you

Had Tony come round today to check on a possible damp problem. Diagnosed the problem as condensation straight away and told us what needed to be done to prevent it. Would highly recommend. Super friendly and knows his stuff

An expert in his field, Anthony is a professional who clearly explained the origins of our damp patches and fixed the issue. He is a friendly, punctual and tidy worker who I would absolutely recommend.

A very professional company. Arrived when they said they would, communication was excellent and they cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend.

Very impressed with the work done by Antony and his team. He was recommended by a friend and was very quick to visit the property and give a comprehensive survey and quote. He left the place spotless after the work was done and provided me with a 25 year guarantee. I would definitely use him again.

Had damp round door and windows ap damp proofing did such a good job cleaned up it is so hard to find such reliable people and get such a good job done

Antony did a fantastic job on a small area of damp that I had in an alcove. He went out of his way to be helpful and worked under quite difficult circumstances. Both Antony and his assistant were pleasant, polite and did a great job, with minimum disruption leaving my room clean and tidy. I would defintely recommend this company. Very fair prices too. Top job!!

Had an issue with damp in my living room, Antony came recommended by my friend. Although he was fully booked up he managed to squeeze me in as the issue was that severe. Arrived on time and cracked on work was done quickly and he cleans up better than I do on a normal day! I would most definitely recommend him to friends and family.

I would highly recommend Antony who recently attended to a rising damp issue I had in my hallway. Having just decorated and had a new carpet laid in the last four months I was concerned about the work involved and the mess it would cause. Antony came to quote, explained the problem and what it would involve, was reassuring and answered all my questions. On the day of the job, he arrived promptly and the first thing he did was ensure my carpet was completely covered. The debris created as a result of the job in hand was vacuumed at all stages and the job completed to my satisfaction. Unfortunately for me I have the same rising damp issue in another room which AP Plastering & Damp Proofing will be returning to sort out for me. Antony and Darren have great respect for your home and their standard of work is testament to that.

I contacted A P Plastering & Damp Proofing when I noticed damp in my kitchen. Antony was very professional and explained what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. He gave me a very reasonable quote, which I took. He came when he said he would and did a great job. The damp has gone and I would definitely use Antony again or recommend him to friends and family. 100 % satisfied.

I would highly recommend A P Plastering & Damp Proofing to anyone. I had severe damp in my lounge for a number of years, which Antony fixed without problem and even gave me a 30-year guarantee. He arrived on time, cleaned up after himself and was competitive on price. I was very happy with his work.
