Steve was very helpful and professional throughout our dealings with him. We had a fairly big basement project which ordinarily could have felt very overwhelming but he made it feel very manageable. Steve and his team did some damp proofing work on our front room which has a suspended floor. They did a great job and worked very quickly despite working during a heatwave. They took photos of every stage of the work that was done and cleaned up after themselves as best they could.

Steve and his assistant did a fantastic job plastering a large area that I'd made a mess of during renovations. Quick to provide a quote and commence the work. On time, attention to detail while working, worked hard for the duration of the project. Previously I've had difficulties getting tradesmen to follow up and provide quotes/reliable start dates but there was no messing around with Steve. The turnaround time and standard of work has been fantastic.

Stephen at Advantage was really helpful, going above and beyond to try to establish the damp patches on the ceiling and wall after the roofers had repaired a leak. He eventually membraned and skimmed the affected wall, after he’d checked there was no water still coming in by going into the loft space to check it was dry. One of his team also carried another job the same day to fill and skim the under stairs space, both cleaning up everywhere before leaving. Would definitely highly recommend and hope the recent water ingress issues are now behind us.

Kitchen plastered today. Good job today by Stephen and two young lads. They covered kitchen cabinets. Moved Fridge freezer out of the room for me and put it back when they had completed the job. Steven did an absolutely fantastic job on plastering our large kitchen, stairway, bathroom, and replacing a whole ceiling after we had our house rewired. Steve completed work at my house while I was away on holiday, kept me updated the whole time, took pics and videos of the work he completed and sent them to me. Further work was also advised that needed to be done, but he checked with me prior to completing it. There was more damp than he initially thought, so put a membrane on aswell. Steve will always reply to your messages quickly and do a great job, I would definitely recommend him, and will be using him again in the future.
I had a number of tricky plaster repairs left to do after major renovation of an old property. With generations of experience in working on local properties, Advantage were able to solve the lot in three mornings. No fuss, they took good care to protect my floors and cleaned up well before they left. Highly recommended.

We had damp coming in where the edge of our render hadn’t been sealed on an external corner. Called Advantage and the next day he came out to see what was happening. No messing (or call out charge) and he quickly identified the issue. He said some people could turn this into a much bigger job but it really wasn’t necessary with the right sealant and waterproofer. Quite quote provided and job completed shortly after. Excellent customer service. Clear communication, turned up on time and all within a very quick turn around. Highly recommended 👍

Steve did a fantastic job installing new damp proofing to the lounge wall and finished with a very neat and professional replaster of the wall. He also did a neat job of installing vents to external walls of the bedroom and lounge to eliminate condensation. Tidied up after himself. Gave great advice throughout. Nice guy to work with keeping me fully informed as the job progressed. You won’t go far wrong if you use Steve for plastering and damproofing jobs you need doing.

Quick response, came out with no callout fee like some of the motley crew out there. Gave a quote, we accepted and Steve did the job as described. No dramas! We looking forward to no more rising damp. After service is also excellent, we had a problem with the electrics a few days after, the mains would just keep tripping out. Steve came out the next day and tried to resolve the problem, unfortunately he was not able to sort it, he advised I get electrician and he would cover the bill and he did what he said. An electrician came out, found a socket was damaged and we paid him. Told Steve and he refunded the amount we paid for electrician! Honestly this guy is a fair, reliable and does what he says. Really appreciated and heavily recommended, also asain friendly 😉. Thank you very much Steve, you are a top man.
Called Stephen about a damp issue around two chimney breasts. A couple of days later he came with two colleagues to rectify the issue. Capping both chimneys and fitting vents to two rooms. I was more than happy with the work carried out by Advantage, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Great job done by Steve. He came out within a couple of days to sort out the damp around my chimney breast. He's quick and efficient, very clean and tidy and a nice friendly guy. He also ended up doing a bit more than expected but still charged me the same so for all the above reasons, I would definitely recommend Steve if you've got any kind of damp or plastering problems
We called Advantage Plastering to help us with a damp issue in our porch. Steve visited promptly to take a look, analyzed the problem, came round the following week to undertake the work needed - doing a great job - and left everything clean and tidy when he’d finished. Very pleased.

Excellent Damp Proofing & Plastering Work! Had damp proofing and plastering work carried out recently, and I’m really impressed with the results. The job included chemical DPC injection, membrane fitting, and plastering – all done to a high standard. The finish is smooth and clean, and everything was done exactly as discussed. Can't praise Steve and his folk highly enough - great communication beforehand, turned up when they said they would and cracked on with the job with no fuss. Steve's plastering is first rate, including some extra work that hadn't been quoted for. They cleaned everything up afterwards and made sure I was happy before saying a pleasant goodbye - and all this for a fair price! What more do you want?
Steve and Henry did a great job removing and repairing a severely mouldy area of damp plaster around an old, condensation-prone, single-pane window. They also cleaned the stone surround and applied several layers of damp-prevention products. Their work was extremely efficient, fairly priced, and clearly explained. The plastering was left exceptionally smooth and well-finished, with care taken to prevent a recurrence of the damp problem — including helpful advice on ventilation and materials. I’m hoping to ask Steve to quote for further work, and would happily recommend him to others.

Steve and his colleague did an amazing job removing woodwork around the doorway and window and plastering to finish the job. They also fitted a false ceiling in the main bedroom. Both jobs were completed with compete, professionalism, and an amazing eye for detail! I cannot recommend Steve enough for future work in my house. I recently had serious damp issues in my kitchen caused by years of water leakage from the roof which was already fixed by a roofer last year. After a previous company tried and failed to solve our damp issue, steve came and assessed the work and quickly identified the issue, we agreed a price and it was extremely fair.
