London PDP Ltd

Contacted London PDP to carry out an inspection at my tenanted property. The surveyor visited the property and advised that there was an active leak that needed to be resolved before it could be properly inspected for repair. I was subsequently advised by the tenants that the surveyor that attended the property was in their words "a troublemaker" and kept advising them that the property was in a shocking state and they had a really bad landlord who probably lived in a property which is “nice and dry" while leaving them living with damp. The statements were completely unwarranted and he even advised the tenants to complain to the council so that I would have to rehouse them nearby during remedial works. Fortunately I have a great relationship with my tenants who told me how unprofessional the surveyor was and asked me to find someone else to come round to carry out the works. When I called up to complain I was told by the surveyor that my tenants had completely made this up and I was threatened that if I post a review on Google that he would respond that I have left my tenants with damp for years and that I am a bad landlord (completely untrue). I was not even present when he visited and only came to know about the surveyors ridiculous statements when my tenants told me what he had said. They had absolutely no reason to make any of this up and I have attached screenshots from the tenants evidencing this. Completely shocking behaviour and the lack of apology when confronted was ridiculous.

Amazing service!! I really appreciate the expert advice from someone very knowledgeable.

Adrian was very professional and knowledgeable. He surveyed the timber of my floor and gave a through report. Very happy with his work.

As an owner of a flat in London, requiring damp specialist services, I reached out to PDP and was greeted by Adrian. He was incredibly knowledgeable, transparent and the advice was excellent. I would totally recommend him to other. Thank you.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Adrian and the team. The arrangements were made with minimal fuss and no need to chase or follow-up as property access was all managed by the team. The survey was invaluable and Adrian's professionalism gave me a lot of comfort for any concerns that I had with the state of the property.

Really quick and clear communication when booking our damp & timber survey. We had a follow-up call shortly after the survey to discuss the findings. Adrian was clear, patient, and took great care in explaining everything he found. Couldn't recommend him enough!

Adrian was fantastic, gave me advice and saved me money. Would definitely recommend.

5* Excellent service from PDP, work done to top spec and in timely Manor. Couldn't recommend enough for any damp works on your property.

Karin provided an absolutely amazing service! Incredibly knowledgeable and professional, far exceeding my expectations. I initially enquired about something specific, but Kiran went above and beyond, offering detailed information and support I didn’t even realise I needed. Hands down the best service I’ve received—highly recommend!

The office quickly put me in touch with Adrian. He was so helpful and it quickly became clear he is an honest knowledgeable guy; happy to help and not just out to make quick money. He assessed my problem, advised on the work and saved me from going on the wrong path I had been led to by other tradesmen. Great for the problem to finally be understood and resolved.

Adrian was super helpful. Explained the difference between what I had suspected was damp but was in fact a water stain. Advised why they form and how to treat. And general other tips for managing damp and condensation in an old building. Did not try to sell services that I did not need- so refreshing. Highly recommend.

We could not recommend Adrian enough. London PDP came to do some work on rising damp earlier in the year. The work was completed efficiently and we had a good experience. Adrian has since saved us a lot of time and money when we were told incorrect information from another builder about condensation issues. He went out of his way to help us and we were so appreciative to find an expert so patient and kind!

Adrian is a true professional and very kind person, he provided us with some very useful advice regarding a house we’re interested in, 10/10 recommend

Adrian took the time to talk through my ongoing nightmare following a massive leak. Finally I felt like I had found someone who really did know everything about damp. I have spoken to many 'surveyor's' who don't know more than how to read a damp meter. He gave me sound advice for general damp issues, and wrote an email to my insurance company to help me start to unpick the giant mess following the failed drying post-leak. He did all of this just to be helpful, not because I was a paying client, I wasn't, just because I phoned and he could help. I am so hugely appreciative, and hope many more people find Adrian and can utilise his practical and extensive knowledge.

Adrian performed a non-invasive damp survey for us as part of a house purchase. His experience, advice and insight were extremely helpful as part of the negotiations, and he was happy to speak to sellers and agents on our behalf. 100% recommend, thank you!

Very knowledgeable and top advice. Bobo and wild Cafe

Having had Adrian solve our damp problem in the basement 6 years ago, I called him when a separate problem arose. It was very easy to arrange a visit, and he came on time - not always a given! It turned out not to be a damp-proofing issue that he deals with, but he stayed to look at the problem and give advice as to who best to contact, which was so helpful. Really impressed with this service.

I would highly recommend Adrian and London PDP Ltd for anyone needing damp proofing in their house. Adrian is very professional, friendly and really easy to deal with. His guys did a brilliant job in the time frame they specified, and the site was clean and tidy when they left. We couldn't have asked for better service.

Non responsive. Having agreed to help services, now ignoring numerous attempts to get in contact. Frustrating.

We had a great experience with Adrian. Moved into an old Victorian house with damp issues, and he was incredibly generous with his time. He spent about 20mins talking through the issues free of charge over the phone, with no obligation to book a visit. Then when we did book a visit, he was very thorough, pragmatic, and explained everything we needed to do about 3 times to help us really understand the issue. If you want a genuine personalised service, and high quality, cost-effective advice, we honestly can't recommend London PDP enough!

Adrian was brilliant. I was quite overwhelmed by the damp situation in my flat and had spoken to several trades people prior to contacting PDP who had quoted me thousands in repairs. Adrian, however, was so reassuring and helpful. He came to survey the flat and noticed the problem straight away, something other tradesmen hadn't. It was a much more basic fix than I'd been told before so I was thrilled. Would thoroughly recommend Adrian and PDP for anyone stressed by issues surrounding damp in the home and in need of someone friendly to assist!

I recently had the pleasure of engaging in a phone consultation with a damp specialist from London PDP Ltd, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. My journey began when I called London PDP Ltd in desperate need of assistance with a damp problem that had arisen in a property I had rented under false pretenses. From the very first interaction, it was clear that this company values its clients. I had the pleasure of speaking with Karen, who was not only lovely but also incredibly helpful. She suggested that I send in images of the issue, assuring me that their experienced surveyor, would be more than willing to review them. Adrian, the surveyor, exemplified professionalism, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. Despite a fully booked schedule, he managed to make time for me the very same day. What truly set this consultation apart was the wealth of knowledge and expertise he brought to my situation. Adrian not only provided sound advice but also demonstrated genuine empathy towards the predicament I found myself in. He went above and beyond to assist me in navigating the somewhat nightmarish situation I was going through. This level of care and dedication was both reassuring and uplifting during a challenging time. What truly stood out was the fact that this consultation was offered entirely free of charge. Adrian didn't hesitate to break away from his scheduled appointments to provide me with his expert guidance and support. This act of selflessness and dedication to customer satisfaction was truly commendable. In conclusion, my phone consultation with Adrian, the PCA damp specialist from London PDP Ltd, was an absolute revelation. I felt not only valued as a prospective customer but also supported and encouraged throughout the process. I am genuinely grateful for the exceptional service I received and would highly recommend London PDP Ltd to anyone in need of damp-related assistance. If you find yourself facing a similar predicament, don't hesitate to reach out to this dedicated team – they are sure to provide you with the expertise and care you need to overcome any challenge. Thank you, London PDP Ltd, for your outstanding service and commitment to prospective clients who come your way.

Adrian and his team were fantastic. They were very professional, communicative and respectful. I was very happy and grateful with the thorough damp treatment and the high quality restoration work they did for me. Adrian was very patient and good at explaining any questions I had, he is also flexible and very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend London PDP.

Adrian did a full refurbishment of our flat, and installed a damp proofing course, after significant fire damage resulted in the flat being uninhabitable. He worked to a very high standard, was excellent at communicating with us regularly, and was always helpful and willing to go above and beyond. I would not hesitate to recommend London PDP.

Can’t recommend Adrian enough. He’s provided an incredibly thorough, professional and speedy service. Another company had provided a high quote with lots of unnecessary work bundled in, however Adrian was very honest about what actually needed doing, did his own survey and quoted only for what work was necessary and what’s more, his quote was very reasonable.

Since 2013, Adrian's service has been outstanding. After using his services for various projects, I have found him to be honest, very knowledgeable in his field of work, and quick to come up with great solutions to problems other companies often aren't able to help with. He has saved me money and a lot of unnecessary work, I would highly recommend his services!

I have contacted Adrian at London PDP via email for some advice, but he has gone over and beyond of what I expected. He took his time to understand the problem before offering the necessary course of action. He’s professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend London PDP.

WOW SUPER company! - what a honest ,decent, friendly company they are. Adrian Taylor came round to survey my property and he was very knowledge, truthful and clear about the facts. He was a breath of fresh air. You will not be dissapointed,

Adrian at PDP was extremely helpful in finding solutions, giving us reassurance and so much advice regarding damp queries. Adrian’s extensive knowledge and experience made us feel full trust in his suggested course of action. If you are looking to fix your beloved home properly but nervous a company will just be looking to find the worse case scenario and charge huge prices, then I would highly recommend this company.

Adrian and team did an outstanding job with our damp proofing - would defo recommend.

Adrian was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgable. We had two damp issues in our property which he evaluated thoroughly and then explained in detail what work needed to be done to remedy the issue. I would highly recommend Adrian to anyone needing a damp expert. Thanks again for your time.

London PDP were recommended by our estate agent when the property we were buying needed a damp and timber report from a PCA contractor in order to satisfy our mortgage lender. It was extremely regrettable that the report they provided recommended a treatment which three other independent (but non-PCA) sources had categorically stated would not fix the problem in the long term and would in fact damage a house of this age (pre-1900). The evidence in the report was not incorrect but the leap made to recommend such remedies was really quite fanciful and counter to every other expert recommendation we’d received. They knew we'd be unable to get the mortgage without their report, and they took full advantage to try and profiteer. In the end, this was the start of a chain of events that derailed the whole purchase. To add insult to injury, we only received an invoice for this slap in the face almost a year after the fact. Given the strong reviews for London PDP, this was a monumental disappointment. I’m sorry to say that it felt extremely irresponsible and I would highly recommend others in our situation to look elsewhere - both for a survey and a different mortgage lender. After all, a large part of our problem was the lender, HSBC, who repeatedly refused to accept independent, but non-PCA, surveys. EDIT: Whilst I appreciate the response from the owner, it is not fair to say we have projected any disappointment from another source. The contractor proposed a treatment that had been carried out at the property multiple times in the past, with no effect. With the same evidence (and more), independent sources proposed alternative treatments and provided ample evidence that PDP's proposals would damage the property. We clearly informed London PDP at the outset that our lender required us to enact any recommendations made in the report we received. To say "it is the client's choice" to follow the recommendations belies the fact that they had us over a barrel and acted irresponsibly. Our own records show that no invoice was received until over 11 months after the survey. It was settled with 24 hours of first receipt.

Thank you so much for your kindness and your help with my basement along with Adrian. I have been very lucky to meet helpful and trustful company like yours to help and support me with all this work. A company that I could highly recommend

Wonderful service by Adrian who came down to our house to check for damp issues in the cellar. Unlike other competitors who are charging expensive works Adrian explained to us what was exactly going on in our situation and advised that what we've been quoted was not justified at all. Thank you very much for your professionalism, your honesty and your time. We will make sure to reach out to you in the future if needed, or recommend you to friends!

I was very impressed with the customer service and professional unbiased advice when phoning with a concern I had.

I called Adrian after having a damp problem in storage space in my house. He gave me advice over the phone when he could have said I'll need a survey with a call out fee. He gave me honest advice saying any damp proof work won't really work (due to some structural challenges). I know some other companies would sell me the damp-proofing (and I would have been naive and just gone ahead with it). Responded very quickly and was honest and professional! Great company!!

Great service by Adrian. Was shown a very high quote for damp proofing from a better-known competitor and used London PDP for a second opinion. Adrian surveyed (with higher quality equipment) and explained that the majority of the works previously proposed would not be necessary. Really appreciated the honesty, he could have easily convinced me to carry out unneeded repairs and proofing. If only all providers were like this! Would recommend.

Couldn't recommend this company more. Adrian was friendly, professional and honest. He went above and beyond with advise about looking after the property. Definitely give them a ring!

Found Adrian & Karen to be very genuine & generous with their time & advice. They took the time to look at photos of the issue as a property & discuss at length what needed to be done & explained the problem didnt require them but directed me to exactly what I needed to do! I highly recommend this company - they are honest & not out to make a quick buck! Thanks Adrian & Karen much appreciated :)

I rang Adrian as we had a basement leak followed a blocked sewage pipe. He very helpfully gave me some initial advise after i sent him some pictures of the affected area. Following an on site assessment Adrian was very candid in stating that the work that they could undertake would be very labour intensive and that the benefits that we would derive versus the cost would be questionable. This was incredibly refreshing in that he could easily have just suggested undertaking the costly works. In addition, he made some very useful suggestions on how we could still use the basement by looking at different storage solutions. Adrian not only provides high quality, specialist advice but also prioritises value for money for the customer.

Saw one of their workmen in Saunders Ness Road (Isle of Dogs) take a new roll of tape from the van, unwrap it and throw the plastic wrapping on the pavement. Nice... Response to owner's response: The van in question was parked on the opposite side of the road to the property you were working on. The plastic wrapping was left on the pavement next to the van (across the road from the property). I'm glad you understand how unacceptable it is to litter on the street. I hope you make your workmen understand this too. Thanks

I have had recourse to PDP on two occasions. In one they undertook tanking work. Throughout the process, from diagnosis through to completion of the works they offered an exemplary service, not least in their efforts to limit the disruption that such a process necessarily entails. In the second, I needed advice on water leakage/accumulation in the basement of a property. PDP assessed the situation, and put to me various options to address the matter. The option suggested by PDP was one where no work would accrue to them. In effect, I received independent advice not tied to the subsequent purchase of a service or product from PDP. The process of briefing me and examining the options was, once again, exemplary.

Adrian and his team provide honest appraisals, put in hard work and create a minimum of fuss in what can be a stressful situation. They also won’t charge you for work which isn’t necessary - unlike some of their competitors. I truly cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent customer service and extremely informative professionals. Very easy to deal with and make things so much less worrying. Highly recommend!! We contacted London PDP with worries due to discoloured wall and ceiling marks and Adrian got back to our message within 30min same day. He showed up next day on time with moisture detector and other tools. He reassured us there was no active leakage going on after check-ups and meter readings. Adrian was super patient and explained well to us on some concerns we had about the flat. Thank you Adrian! Anna (Yi)

From first contact to completion of works London PDP have been excellent. Adrian efficiently surveyed a property we were purchasing, identified areas that required treatment and provided a clear quote. The team that carried out the work were considerate, professional and efficient. In a household with two small children their approach was very much appreciated. The work took exactly the length of time we were told it would and the space was left spotless when they finished. Adrian also offered practical advice on other areas of the house I had concerns about. Hopefully we won’t need their services again on different areas of the house, but if we do we would not hesitate to request their services again.

Excellent experience using PDP to damp proof my basement. They also laid new flooring, stripped and replaced bathroom and decorated throughout. Professional and extremely helpful team. Easy to communicate with and all my wishes met beyond my expectations. Highly recommend.

Great experience - Adrian gave us really good advice and PHP were really easy to deal with.

The quality of the customer service here is second to none; it is the best. Background: Our home had a ridiculous amount of problems with respect to damp, walls, damages etc. We were completely stuck for many years. We had no idea what to do. The service: The most important thing is the time and care given to our specific situation. Adrian and Karin listened carefully, reviewed our problems and gave us an abundance of information for services for repair. This has been so invaluable and we are eternally grateful for such care and time. I highly recommend London PDP because they care and put customers and care before money and profits. I am living today with less worry as my home is being refurbished with all the advice we have received. This is having a massive positive impact on our health and well-being which is at the heart of what they do. Thank you so much, Adrian, Karin & London PDP!

I was told that some Damp Proof companies could find water in the Sahara Desert but that wasn't the case with Adrian from LPDP! We booked a survey with him and not only did he come round and diagnose that the problem wasn't damp. He then spent 50 minutes giving us general advice before telling us at the end it was free and he wasn't going to charge us for his time! Don't think i need to say anything else after that but we were really impressed with his professionalism and it is nice to know that there are good/honest people out there!
