I recently had a visit from Keith to have a look at damp issues in the basement of my property. I found him very knowledgeable, personable and honest, he said that far less work was needed to resolve the damp issues than what I had previously been told by someone else. The whole team were also helpful in arranging the appointment, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Timberwise for anyone with similar damp concerns.

We had a damp issue on the walls in two areas of our Victorian terrace: in the cloakroom and in the hallway. Ian Harding - surveyor at Timberwise - came to assess the issue. He was very thorough. He recommended a damp proof treatment and advised us to increase the ventilation by adding a vent in the cloakroom floor. The issue in the cloakroom was probably caused by rising damp whereas the issue in the hallway was due to penetrating damp from outside. The ladies at the office, who manage the work schedules, in particular Connie Copsey, were very helpful in finding a date that suited us, to carry out the work. A couple weeks later, Timberwise technicians James and Mark came to do the work . They were very diligent and meticulous and form a great team! All was completed within two days. Although only time will reveal the effectiveness of the damp proofing, I really appreciated the detailed advice that Ian gave us as well as the quality of the work done by James and Mark and the customer service from the ladies at the office.

I found Timberwise via a search on the PCA's website (Property Care Association). Upon contacting them, they came out to conduct a survey, then sent me a quote for the work to carry out. I had previously identified the issue via an independent damp preservation survey which showed that our subfloor did not have proper ventilation, and it had caused wet rot in our joists as well as the underfloor itself. The work from Timberwise was carried out by Dave Knott, who was very prompt, professional, and communicated clearly. He did the job by himself under a week, including uplifting the floor, cutting, replacing and treating joists, drilling and adding a new air brick, and replacing other air bricks around the property. I was very happy with Dave's work, he was quick, professional, and tidy. I'm very happy I went with Timberwise overall and a big thank you to the team that worked with me (Connie Copsey, Jackie Lendon & Debbie Nisbet).
We used Timberwise for a damp survey and damp proofing work. Debbie, Connie, Jackie and Dennis were very helpful throughout, and the technician, Jimmy, was professional and completed the work to a high standard (at least to my untrained eye). When unexpected obstacles arose, the process for dealing with these was smooth. Some plaster and debris has made its way into our plug sockets, so my only comment is that more care could have been taken with protecting these. It is too early to say whether the work has been effective but we have found Timberwise's knowledge and professionalism reassuring.
These con artists charged me full price for a damp and timber survey that recommended I pay for damp proofing injections after I told them that this had already been done and it didn’t work. The surveyor made no effort to find out the course of the damp, just tried to upsell me. AVOID!
We would like to highly commend Mystry for her outstanding work treating our house for dry rot and relaying of the flooring. Throughout the entire process, she demonstrated exceptional patience, diligence, and thoughtfulness. Mystry was consistently professional, courteous, and punctual, showing great respect for both our home and our time. Amazing team. From the survey of the property to completion, Ian kept me informed of what was needed and the timescale. He was super helpful and answered the many questions I had on the building's condition. His team Chris and James were great and my builders even commented on what a good job they did on the damp proofing. Jackie and Connie at head office were very lovely and helpful too. Not a great experience. Trying to claim under warranty but they refuse to provide information on the claim process and justification. Previous owners had some work done which obviously didn’t solve the problem.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will happily take your money to do a partial job and when you ask them to finish it off, they will never return your calls. STAY AWAY!!

We had an issue about a year ago with a rotting lintle above out front door. Timberwise sent around a surveyor to assess our situation. Not only was the survey free (many other firms wanted £300 odd pounds just to have a look even if they did no work on the property), but Gary Carty (the surveyor they sent) was possibly the most helpful and friendly trades person I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. He knew the work was to small for them to do and that the lintle wasn't very bad so he emailed me a step by step guide on what to do, products to buy and how to fix it myself. I will always be recommending this company and certainly using them in the future. I can only wish all other trades people/ companies would opperate to this high standard. great job and really appreciated.
I’ve just witnessed something amazing… I’ve just witnessed something amazing .Gary Hart the Senior surveyor for Timberwise in Richmond SW15 6NP just came to assess my cellar, for which I had been previously quoted many thousands of pounds of work to prevent damp. He told me it was all dry, after checking with a very good professional damp meter, and all I needed was a humidifier or extractor fan to lower the humidity. There had previously been water ingress due to no drainpipes which has been sorted. The experience of meeting such an honest person was quite moving. I would throughly recommend his service, and I see from other reviews that the rest of the company is equally professional. A big thank you.

We used Timberwise for damp proofing a few walls to our living room and the whole process from start to finish was fantastic. We had the initial survey by Dean which was so helpful and informative and then the actual damp proof works were done to schedule with the end result being lovely and tidy. From the survey right through to the carrying the damp proof works, Timberwise provided a very effective service. Following the free survey they did not apply any pressure to take up their services and updated me in good time when there needed to be a change to the scheduled start date.
I’ve had a great experience with Timberwise. To start, I had 4 quotes from companies and there’s was not the cheapest but fair and reasonable. Customer services throughout the experience have been great as well as the service I had from Keith the surveyor. The work was done by Brian and Dave who both did a fantastic job. I’m so pleased that I went with this company and I highly recommend them.
As soon as I had coughed up £ and they had done half the survey they disappeared, not even providing support or a breakdown to start work. Waste of a survey, time and £. No amount of escalating and complaining could get them to care about me as a customer. Disgusted, disappointed and betrayed. Go elsewhere if you want a company that care.
Great service from Timberwise. Mike who did the survey was really helpful and both he, Hayley and Steph were, kind and patient with my various questions, alterations and misunderstandings. Chris who did the work was fantastic. He was friendly and professional, accommodated our needs around timing, did a great job and was most helpful explaining the process and advising on various aspects. Timberwise carried out repairs to our 'Vault' area to remove damaged waterproof tanking and plaster, repair some brickwork and then re-apply the waterproofing. From the offset, the Surveyor, Keith was absolutely fantastic; his knowledge very impressive, incredibly responsive to my enquiries (even at weekends and when he was on holiday!) and a pleasure to work with. He was also able to explain what were pretty specialist works and terms so that anyone could understand them. The tradesmen who carried out the work were also absolutely fantastic; courteous, helpful, friendly with a great attitude and clearly very knowledgeable/experienced! They were; Chris Ricketts, Andy Ball and David Knott. I would certainly highly recommend Timberwise and am already planning to use them for future improvement works on our house!
Timberwise were very professional and did an excellent job both in the survey aswell as the works performed for the treatment of wood and damp treatments needed. All staff were a pleasure to deal with and works were performed to a very good standard. All round great staff and would highly recommend them.
I don’t recommend. The technician came for two hours and they charged 691.49. I complained, said that is pretty steep for two hours service and they only did 85% of the cleanup. They said, 691 is the minimum charge and you can finish it off with a brush, but then you may need to reapply the wash. If I can do it, why couldn’t they? They overcharged and undelivered.

Fantastic service. Timberwise were very accommodating and understanding when we needed to move the date of works several times. The survey was organised and went ahead right away. The work was completed to a very high standard and the technician was great and very friendly.
I have just had a DryTek Finishing System applied in my property and would like to give you some feedback on the technician who carried out the work. He was extremely polite, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Sadly, these qualities are so often missing nowadays that it has restored my faith in the British workforce! I believe Timberwise is a family owned business and this is clearly shown in their work ethic and overall caring attitude towards their clients in wanting to do the best they can to help. Again another quality that is fast disappearing from the UK business world.
My husband and I were going through a tricky house purchase where works needed to be completed prior to the sale. Timberwise made the process a lot more bearable with their efficiency, patience and helpfulness.
