Ray and Jenny were great when we needed a damp and timber survey for our mortgage application at short notice. We enquired on the Monday, had the survey on Wednesday and the report by Friday. The report contained no nonsense about expensive chemical injections and the recommendations and costings were comprehensive.
Had a really good experience with Ray. He provided a very detailed survey clearly outlining what should happen and why. I liked the ability to call him afterwards to ask some follow-up questions.
Had a fantastic experience with Jenny (office) and Jeff (surveyor). Jenny was incredibly patient and helpful arranging the damp survey and Jeff's report was thoroughly and detailed, providing some indicative costs for remediation which was very helpful. Jeff also had a follow up call and email to answer further questions I had, explaining things in a clear and simple way. They were reasonably priced and shared the report quickly after the survey. I'd use them again if I needed another survey.
This company surveyor was rude and didn't had a professional conduct of attitude at all. This person felt free to knock on my door at 08:00 am when this service was booked form 09:00 to 10:00 o'clock am. I will up with him ringing harshly on my door bell with no respect and consideration. At his arrival I had to ask this person to respect my house and remove his shoes and 2 minutes later after going to my garden he comes inside my house with shoes again and felt free to walk again all over the house with his shoes on. He have placed his work metal suit case on top of our bed and have walked into our room and walked over or bedroom carpet with his shoes on, when I ask him again to take his shoes he insolently said he have finished to survey wile talking stepping with his dirty shoes on our bedroom carpet and that he was on his way out not showing any respect and consideration. This person came here instructed by my letting agents that have miss lead and scammed my from begging of my tenancy and he made sure to do everything in a malicious way. I don't trust their work and their survey and I don't accept or agree with their horrible professional attitude. I will be reporting this today to trading standards.
I don't usually write reviews on here but for Jeff Eaton, it would be rude of me not to given how impeccable his service has been! We have recently completed on a 1930's solid brick construction semi-detached property in North London that had significant damp on multiple external walls and we specifically wanted an independent damp specialist who wouldn't be interested in upselling us their remedial services. After searching long and hard, we came across Academy Remedial Surveyors and booked in with Jeff. Following his visit to the property, he produced an incredibly clear, helpful and informative report within two days and detailed exactly what was causing the damp and how we could fix it. His advice has helped us plan our refurbishment work carefully so that we can make sure the damp does not reoccur in the future. It turns out we don't need to spend thousands on damp-proofing courses and there are several other causative factors we need to address in reducing penetrating damp and condensation into the property which we and unfortunately our level 3 surveyor were completely unaware of. Even after sending through the damp survey report, Jeff has also been very prompt and helpful in answering our questions as we plan the refurbishment work with our contractors. Overall, my experience with Jeff from AR Surveyors has been excellent and I highly recommend his services for anyone looking for an independent damp survey.
