Disaster of a company. I had to ask my builder to rip out everything they had done and start again. They covered up more dodgy work than i can even start to explain. The workmanship was a total disaster and the boss didn't check anything until i asked him to come to site to show him the work that had been done. I was given a full refund but by this point the work carried out had drilled hole into my walls throughout the basement and wasted about two weeks of the build time. One upsetting action was that they angle grinded two old flagstones off the wall that were there from an old bakers oven chimney that could have remained as a feature without any discussion. Terrible work done in all respects. I've given one star because you have to in order to submit.
We are very pleased with the work completed by LWS. A very professional and knowledgeable company. Peter provided a thorough survey and advised us on the best solution for the basement space. All the workers were skilled, polite and hardworking. The company oversaw things regularly and the pricing was very fair. Highly recommend this decent company that genuinely cares about the work they do and their customer satisfaction.
I had a severe basement damp and mould problem that we became aware of in summer 2025. It took a while to get my current builders to diagnose the problem. It was then clear we needed an expert team to redesign the basement floor and re-tank everything. An internet search brought up 3 potential companies of which LWS was one. Peter, the surveyor and owner of LWS was by far the most knowledgeable and credit expert I met, and the company’s quote was very competitive. I am extremely happy with the result, and the speed, efficiency and professionalism of everyone involved including the two electricians. The project was completed ahead of schedule and Salvo talked me through every part of it. Edi and Taulant were great, and Salvo called Taulant the human dynamo - someone who knew what needed to be done and just got on with it. Extremely happy to recommend them.
Really impressed with London Waterproofing. Right from the start when Peter the surveyor came around to the final installation. The company couldn’t have been more helpful during every stage of the works. The guys who fitted it were professional, courteous and neat. John, the supervisor, was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Peter Barber generously declined any fee payment for his survey, diagnosis and recommended solution of the damp problem in the basement flat. His survey on the damp area using electronic meters was thorough. His diagnosis and survey differed from the previous damp proofing companies that recommended disruptive plaster removal and chemical injections to counter rising damp. He provided a clear logical explanation of why it was highly unlikely to be rising damp and suggested a much simpler (and probably less costly) solution that involved improvement of the drainage of an adjoining light well. and repointing of some brickwork. I respected his holistic and honest approach to the damp problem as opposed to that of other tradesmen or surveyors offering "free" surveys that are motivated to generate business for the rising damp companies they work for. I believe Peter's high integrity means that he will provide you with the service that best protects your property from any damp problems whether it be rising or penetrating damp.
Peter came around quickly and managed to get a team in place swiftly. They were incredibly friendly, thorough and reassuring. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. We received many quote but they were by far the best value. Thank you for your efforts!
We have been most impressed by LWS from our initial call to the office, when we were met with a very friendly response, the subsequent inspection by Mark, a knowledgeable surveyor, to the work being carried out efficiently and smoothly by 4 very able and polite technicians, who were evidently skilled at their jobs, worked hard and left the place tidy each day. There followed a thorough inspection and sign-off by Salvo, and finally the very helpful office staff furnished us with all the necessary guarantees and a manual. We cannot praise them highly enough for both their professionalism and also their reassurance that the problem was solved.

Superb organisation! The team do the profession proud!! We had a lower ground flat completely tanked by LWS, the entire job from start to finish was extremely challenging due to the location of pipes running through the flat. LWS carried out three surveys (free of charge) prior to the commencement of works. They planned, started and completed works professionally in a timely manner. Due to the scale of the works, several issues arose that caused subsequent damage to the membrane following completion of the tanking. On each occasion LWS responded quickly and rectified issues caused by other contractors completely free of charge - I cannot thank Mark and his team enough, with a special thank you Jon Barber who made himself available almost immediately each time we called. There are not many London based firms that would step in to help for issues caused by other contractors, especially if they carried out works to perfection themselves. LWS saved us time and money on more than one occasion, leaving others involved in the project impressed with their company values, integrity and commitment to their clients. Thank you 🙏🏽
We needed to have our basement tanked which is no easy job however after alot of research we discovered London Waterproofing Solutions. They came over and did a survey (no charge) and quickly came back with a detailed quotation. A structual engineer friend said that this would be the system that he would use. They started on time every day and did an amazing job. They always cleaned up after themselves. London Waterproofing Solutions customer service and communications are exemplary nothing is to much trouble. Lastly they are very good value for money.

LWS visited my property early this summer to address the damp I had in my basement. I wanted to use this basement as a dry storage space. The survey was quick and I had the report with quotation within a couple of days. I had the work booked in promptly. The Technicians were polite & helpful. I am happy with the results and would certainly recommend LWS
Came across this company driving very dangerously at gandalfs corner and when it pointed out to them they was not very pleasant or apologetic for putting peoples lives at risk . This company has just lied and claimed that the vehicle no longer belongs to them , this is to try and save face and cover for their horrible employees , do not use and do not trust these cowboys. Just noticed that they have now edited a reply saying they will deal with the situation and the employee hopefully this happens and they redeem themselves from the action of this employee , once it has been proven that it’s been dealt with I will happily remove this review . Judging by the couple of incidents to with employees I have read in reviews for your company and the way you messed up the grade 2 listed Victorian building and the way you dealt with that customer then cowboys seems very apt when describing your company .
These drivers are a risk on the road. They should not be allowed to drive!
Not good for a driver of a company van to be in a YouTube video about to break the law and then insult the person filming. Edit: shabby response given the footage was dated 1st March 2022. In fact you can see the damage to the windscreen identified in the 10th March 2022 MOT in the video.
LWS were thoroughly professional from start to finish. Service was excellent and they visited the property a number of times before and after the job to ensure I was happy with the plans and the work completed. Would recommended them Highly
I had a basement of a pub in Clapham Junction that had flooding issues for years. This was due to the water table so this was groundwater flooding. Peter attended within a week and gave us a comprehensive quote of exactly what was wrong. Whilst the price may seem high at the outset, the works won’t be found cheaper elsewhere and especially so efficiently. If i’m going to be honest, I don’t even think LWS made any profit here as they did an immense amount of work installing the deflooding systems. Really happy with the works and guarantee provided and would recommend them again in a heartbeat.
Peter provided a free survey. He did not push any service after identified the water ingress was more a sump pump problem. I was impressed by his professionalism. He even wrote to report his opinion free of charge.
Peter visited our property promptly and did a quick assessment of our basement. It turns out that the damp is likely caused by other issues so rather than push his services, Peter suggested some alternative solutions. Peter visited us promptly after we contacted him regarding concerns of damp in our 17th Century property that we have recently moved into.. He gave us his professional advice which was to provide adequate ventilation as the humidity levels were high and to keep a general eye on the house going forward. It was a real pleasure to deal with an honest person who, unlike others, was not just trying to sell something. I had the team into tank our cellar which had a major problem with damp. They came in and finished the job within two days and later installed a ventilation fan. They were incredibly quick, clean and professional. The price I think is fair given the quality of the job. When quoting for the work they stood out as they spent time really understanding how to resolve the damp issue vs. others who just wanted to provide a standard solution which wouldn’t have worked.
Was riding my motorbike doing the CORRECT speed and one of their rude drivers came up behind me and started tailgating me for half a mile, then beeped at me as he went past and stuck his middle finger up. Certainly don't advise doing business with a company with manners and attitude like that. Very rude company.
