Brilliant work by Mark fixing an old staircase that was trickier than anticipated. Taking the carpet up revealed a more in depth job as the staircase had slipped from it's position over the years and so he requoted a very fair price. We now have a rock solid staircase and couldn't be happier. He talked me through what he was doing why he did it and make some recommendations of products and ways to decorate it to improve the finish. He was incredibly tidy and efficient as well. Highly recommended.

Mark did a super job fitting our new internal doors and bespoke door threshold. Right from the initial visit and quote he was professional, prompt and provided exact timelines when he could do the job. On arrival, he set up his workstation outside and because the weather forecast was unreliable it was all under his pop up awning! His attention to detail and craftmanship was of a high standard. He was friendly and a pleasure to have around the house. I would not hesitate in recommending him for this type of work.

I'm delighted to recommend Mark Lloyd. We replaced all of our 40 year old internal doors and have an excellent result. When you are looking for the few carpenters locally who replace doors there is always uncertainty with someone new. So Mark came to assess the job, measured each frame and gave us a quote to fit Howden doors and discussed options. He always arrived on time and is very professional and neat, cleaning up daily. He is very personable which counts for a lot with strangers in your home and always asks permission and for our views on the work. He doesn't dispose of the old doors but we used the excellent Joe Coghe. We now have a real quality feel to our home which we are bringing up to date and we will use Mark again. Two additions to my post: We had a new carpet laid in the hall upstairs and downstairs and had to get Mark back to take a bit off two doors. He came promptly and expertly refitted the doors and we were delighted. The second visit was because one of the new doors was squeaking at one of the hinges, where it impinged on the door frame, having previously been fine. Mark again came back promptly and fixed it free of charge. I can re-recommend him as someone who supports his customers with after sales service

Booked Mark to fit 4 internal doors after he did such a great job fitting a kitchen worktop for us. Mark arrived on the day agreed, on time. Measured the individual frames (all different sizes!), removed the old doors, cut the doors to size, fitted the door handles & added an additional hinge for each door. During his visit, Mark was friendly, professional & tidied up after he'd finished the job. He cut the old doors in half to make it easier for me to dispose of them. And he took away some wood that needed to be edged / bevelled as he didn't have the tools woth him and returned it a couple of days later which I will be making into a table. New doors look great (still need to be painted though) & fit perfectly. Another great job by Mark. Again, woud happily recommend Mark for your woodwork needs. Thanks Mark.

I employed Mark to install my kitchen. This was not only a dry fit but also removal of an interior wall. Mark was top notch, always prompt and on time and professional. The kitchen design had a few oversights and Mark was amenable to the changes and did an excellent job, for example the breakfast bar worktop was not deep enough and so a real wood worktop was designed to cantilever from the worktop. All last minute change which Mark adapted to and still consisted the job on time to a high spec. Very pleased with his work and would defiantly recommend. Too bloke! Neil
