I cannot praise Richard's skills enough! We are delighted with our built in wardrobes that include Murphy bed (that hides in the wall) and a secret door to the en suite bathroom. We live in a very wonky 300 year old barn that has no straight walls. Richard's can-do attitude and inventive solutions were a breath of fresh air. A joy to work with and fantastic results at a great price! Five stars are not enough!

We had some old brown fitted cupboards in our bedroom that we wanted to retain the carcass of, but replace the doors and outer frame as well as changing the internal layout. Richard presented us with various options, with a sketch of each and cost breakdown, which made it much easier to decide on the best solution for us. The end result was excellent, and Richard worked very hard to fit around a busy household, working clean and accurately. Would highly recommend his craftsmanship. The difference can clearly be seen in the before (brown) and after (green) photos.
How lucky were we to find this great guy following flood damage to our Park Home last year. He built from scratch a beautiful wall to wall display cabinet with glass doors and cupboards under for extra well needed storage. We were so impressed we asked Richard to come back this year and remove half a fitted sliding door wardrobe also requiring the removal of a stud wall and whilst we were away on holiday. We returned to another beautiful job and on both occasions the rooms in question were left clean and tidy and we cannot thank him enough for jobs well done at a very competitive price. Richard Williams has been a very professional person to have working in our home. The time and day he said he would arrive was exactly the time he appeared. Rich did a fantastic job with our custom-made floor to ceiling utility closet. He finished ahead of schedule and was approachable throughout the entire process of creating and designing the closet. When we were unsure of the design, he was very helpful and gave us good suggestions. The utility closet is of an excellent standard and his pricing was very affordable considering the quality of the final product! He was friendly and professional throughout and we cannot recommend him enough. He also made sure to clean up after work everyday which was very considerate.
I have nothing but praise for Richard of RW Carpentry. He fitted a bedroom with custom built wardrobe and dressing table exactly as I wanted. I’ve just had Richard make from scratch and install some shelves in my front room and wall to wall wardrobes in a bedroom, all whilst negotiating a chimney breast! From first contact to finishing the job, Richard was a joy to work with. He was warm, personable, a good listener and diligent in all his work. During his first visit, he listened to what I wanted, measured up and drew very clear line drawings, all whilst communicating options and making sure all needs were met. When a final plan was reached, he then promptly booked dates in for installation, during which he worked solidly. The finished products are of fantastic quality and the whole process was a joy. I can't recommend RW Carpentry enough. From the initial quote, Rich was thorough in understanding our home office requirements. He was punctual and kept us updated on when the work would start. He was very professional, accommodating adjustments during the fitting, and even fixed some fittings that were slightly off by a few millimeters. He worked cleanly and tidily, and I would gladly have him back for future projects.

Rich was first class from the first visit through to the installation. Great job and no mess left behind. And priced up lower than others. We needed custom wardrobes fitted around a slopy attic bedroom ceiling and a matching suite of integrated and standalone units and we're really pleased with the finished article. Highly recommend.
Rich recently fitted wall to wall sliding door wardrobes for us in our main bedroom. These were to replace some 'vintage' pine free-standing wardrobes (image for comparison included!). He was really helpful from the start of the process and was happy to accommodate all the changes we decided upon as we worked through the design. These included the addition of a mirror and electric light above some shelving in part of the wardrobe which looks brilliant and we're glad we went for it. The workmanship is perfect and the materials used are of excellent quality, made to last. We are delighted with the results. It's such a pleasure to have someone who is so professional and respectful of your home and everything was faultless. Thank you very much Rich; we'll be in touch again as discussed with other carpentry we'd like you to do for us. Thanks from the electrician too, who was pleased that a hole of exactly the right size was there and ready for him to install the plug socket!
We recently had some custom cupboards built in our new extension by Richard at RW Carpentry, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, Richard was professional, friendly, and a real pleasure to deal with. The workmanship is excellent — everything fits perfectly, and the attention to detail really shows. Richard took the time to understand what we wanted and brought it to life beautifully, making great use of the space, especially with the curved countertop and sleek, integrated design around the fridge. Rich fitted some cupboards and drawers under our new staircase and we're really pleased with the result. He took care to design the space to fit what we needed to store, regularly checking with us when there was a decision to make rather than making assumptions. The finish is higher quality than we expected (the carcus of the units being made of the same material as the outside rather than a cheaper wood) and Rich was happy to tweak a section that we asked him to adjust afterwards. We're now planning the next project for him!
Highly recommend. I’m always wary of having people work in the house, but Rich left my bedroom cleaner than it was when he arrived ! His work is faultless , very precise and my wardrobes look as if they’ve always been there. He works hard to complete the job in record time so minimum disruption . He is , on top of all this , a very genuine guy who is polite , professional and his work is excellent… very happy I found him .

We recently moved into a Flat in a retirement development in Poole, where the second bedroom had been furnished as an office. We needed to convert it back into a bedroom for us to accommodate visiting family and guests. The design of furniture to be installed should also create more wardrobe / storage space for us. Richard designed, manufactured and installed exactly what we required from our basic ideas. The quality of his workmanship is excellent. He is very professional and the work was carried out to a timescale that suited us. We were so pleased with his workmanship, that we are now talking to him about removing the existing built in furniture from our main bedroom and for him to design, manufacture and install new furniture that will be more suitable for our requirements. Rich did a fantastic job of a couple of new wardrobes and shelves for us. He was very helpful in guiding the design and functionality of them to work best for the space as well, and very efficient.
Richard has just finished fitting 3 wardrobes in our 3 bedrooms and they look fabulous. Richard has a very keen eye for detail and discussed our requirements when he came to plan each wardrobe. He produced a drawing there and then so you could see what they would look like. He worked non stop on build days and made a great job of clearing up afterwards. A great carpenter and example to his trade. We are already waiting for him to return in April to provide units in our lounge.

I am writing this post on behalf of my mum Lesley Vass. Richard had previously installed fitted wardrobes and she was impressed with the quality of work, punctuality and tidiness. Last week Richard replaced kitchen worktops, cupboard doors and altered other components in the kitchen. The work was carried out diligently and to a very high standard. The quote was competitive and once finished Richard maintained his high standards by a complete tidy up including removal of all rubbish and hoovering the patio !! My mum would (and has done) recommend Richard and will definately be using him for any future carpentry work.

I was fortunate enough to find Rich after a very long search. For 3 years we have been trying to find someone to remove existing badly fitted wardrobes and redesign/fit new ones in their place in 3 bedrooms. It seemed the initial ripping out was putting people (and well known 'specialist' companies!) off plus one room was an awkward shape over the stairs. Then along came Rich! Within a couple of hours he had measured and drawn up plans for each room with recommendations we hadn't even considered. We received the quote a couple of days later with an estimated date to start and we are now the proud owners of 3 bedrooms with gorgeous mirrored sliding door fully kitted out wardrobes. I can't speak highly enough of Rich. He was professional, reliable, punctual, tidy and attention to detail was second to none. We also asked him after the initial meeting to do a couple of odd bits for us to include shelving and boxing in an ugly fuse box all of which was done at the same time. Nothing seemed like to much trouble. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rich and if we have any need for a talented carpenter again we know who to ask. 5*+
