Cookridge Carpentry

Fabulous dining bench, beautifully hand crafted. Carl turned up when he said he would, and finished when he said it’d be finished. Very happy with the price after comparing quotes. What more can you ask for?

Would highly recommend Cookridge Carpentry for any bespoke work. I was able to explain what I wanted and Carl was able to produce my amazing shelving and cupboard which I then painted. Amazing communication from start to finish. Thank you I am very pleased with it

Great service from Carl, he made a new top for my dining table from reclaimed wood which is really lovely. Highly recommend

Carl made me a bespoke desktop from reclaimed wood to be used with a Flexispot standing desk. He consulted on exactly what I required and gave plenty of options for styles and finishes. Couldn't be happier with the final result! I plan to use Cookridge Carpentry again in future.

Wonderful craftsmanship, professionalism and communication and I think value for money too. We ordered an oak coffee table that he made to our specifications. The pictures speak for themselves. Thank you very much! We would not hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful unique coffee table Great communication and delivery !

Carl completed two projects for us, alcove storage and a fitted wardrobe. We are delighted with both. He takes great pride in his work and has shown great attention to detail. He was a pleasure to have around while he completed the work. Happy to recommend.

Ordering was lovely and straightforward. Quick to respond to my questions. The coffee table I bought is very well made and exactly what I wanted - one very happy customer! I would recommend to others and would happily order again.

Amazing Quality!!! Purchased a Coffee Table for our office & was amazed at the quality you get for your money! Quick Delivery & easy assembly. Way better value than mass produced furniture & can tell it will last a lifetime. Support local U.K businesses such as Cookridge Carpentry!

We could not be any happier with the service and products (bespoke bench tops and fitting) from Carl. After being let down badly by another firm Carl came in a rectified a bad situation with professionalism, speed and high quality. We would highly recommend and will be asking him to do any future projects we may have.

Excellent! Absolutely love my new desk, I can’t express how happy I am with the craftsmanship. Will be back for more lovely furniture. Thanks again.

We’ve had two bookshelves made by Carl - one a few years ago and the other a few weeks ago. Amazing work and really great service. We will definitely be using him in the future for other custom pieces!

We had a custom shelving unit and coffee table made, as we loved the pieces we’d seen on instagram and really liked the idea of using reclaimed wood. Great communication the whole way through, and beautiful furniture! So happy with everything, would highly recommend.

We've been struggling off and on for a few years with coving that runs above some shelving either side of a chimney breast and eventually one section fell off completely. So we decided we had to resolve this once and for all, we'd seen some potential options online and started looking around for a suitable trade person to solve this problem. We eventually found Carl at Cookridge Carpentry and his response was prompt and positive. Following a couple of 'false starts' we finally hit on a solution that we could proceed with when he provided a rough dummy. Carl turned up when he said he would and grafted really hard to make sure we reached the result we were looking for. His work was very clean and tidy with little mess, which was surprising. He also spent plenty of time cleaning up after himself on both days. Both local and quality result... winner! We would have no hesitation in recommending Cookridge Carpentry for appropriate work, very professional throughout.

Carl made us a bespoke set of shelves which are just perfect, great craftsmanship and the perfect solution to a space which had never worked. He was a pleasure to deal with throughout. Very high quality at a very reasonable price.

I had both a coffee table and tv stand bespoke hand Made and was more than satisfied with them and still love them 2 years on

My photos don't do the table justice...as I keep telling anyone who'll listen my table is beautiful. Totally recommend Carl & Cookridge Carpentry.

Very pleased with our shoe bench. It's well built and Carl made it to measure.

I recently had a bespoke TV stand and record player unit made by Cookridge Carpentry, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, Carl was incredibly professional and easy to work with. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the furniture fetches plenty of compliments from guests. I highly recommend Cookridge Carpentry to anyone looking for custom, high-quality pieces.

Carl made us a beautiful dining table and matching bench. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us when we were being fussy about the legs! We are so happy to have a handcrafted piece to enjoy our family meals at.

Highly recommend Carl! We wanted built in wardrobes for our son. Carl listened to what we wanted, made suggestions and together we came up with the perfect design. Excellent communication was maintained throughout the project and Carl’s craftsmanship and attention to detail surpassed my expectations. The quality of the finished product is excellent. He even came back to do final touches after our agreed timings due to me having a baby. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for our next woodwork project.

Thanks Carl for the beautiful hardwood stool you crafted. The perfect bespoke size skillfully made with traditional joinery methods, beautiful! Peter.

Carl did a great job creating some very bespoke furniture for us- a shoe cabinet with a reclaimed oak seat top and a desk nook instead of a fitted wardrobe section. Pics don’t do the work justice and still need to be painted. Carl was punctual, true to his word and cleaned up after! Highly recommend.

Excellent craftsmanship from Carl, he managed to upcycle the wood from our lovely old table , which had warped . Delivered and fitted as planned , with advice and guidance regarding the care of the wood.
