M & L Joinery, run by Martin, made and fitted wooden double glazed windows for several customers, who were pleased with the results and the attention to detail; one customer also had old stained glass redone and refitted to keep the character of the house, and another said the work was thorough and exactly what had been promised. A customer who had internal double doors designed and installed described the craftsmanship as outstanding, and another was delighted with fitted wardrobes in alcoves, with prep work including painting done offsite and installation completed in one day. A kitchen fitting and herringbone flooring job went well despite unexpected issues with the kitchen supplier, with the customer praising Martin's reliable, professional and punctual manner. Smaller jobs also got good reports: door latches were fitted with handmade wooden plugs to fill old holes, and a joiner cut and edged worktops to size. One customer was more than happy overall.
We can’t recommend Martin enough. He did a fantastic job replacing our old wooden sash windows with new double glazed units. He had a contact who redid our old stained glass, which he then reinstalled, meaning we could retain the character of the house. The experience was excellent start to finish- Martin quickly gave a quote for exactly what we wanted over email, was always quick to respond and arrange in person visits. The work was exceptional and carried out quickly with no mess left behind. We are over the moon with the result, and get lots of complements on the new windows. Thank you Martin!
Martin did an excellent job fitting new door latches when we changed our door handles to knobs. The knobs needed to be repositioned slightly to allow enough room to grip them properly. This left holes from the old fittings, which Martin carefully filled with handmade wooden plugs. The finished result is extremely neat and completed to a very high standard. Martin was reliable, professional and a very clean worker, leaving no mess whatsoever. We are delighted with his workmanship and would highly recommend him.
Martin has done an incredible job designing and installing our internal double doors - can’t recommend him highly enough! His attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding. The doors look like they’ve always been there and the finished result is even better than we imagined!
Martin measured, made & fitted our house with beautiful new sash windows. His work was thorough, and exactly what we were promised. We were more than happy with him and his craftsmanship and would recommend him to anyone considering having carpentry work done to a high standard. Thanks again Martin.
Martin did an excellent job. We love the windows, and would not hesitate to recommend him.
Martin came and quoted to fit some fitted wardrobes in alcoves in an upstairs room. He was really helpful throughout and made suggestions regarding the design and installment. When the job was completed, Martin was very accurate to when he would be there and how long the job would take. All prep work was done offsite, including the painting of the finished units. Installation of work was completed in one day. Martin staying late to ensure all work was done. Quality of work is outstanding and we are very happy with the finished product. I will certainly be looking to use Martin again.
I can’t recommend Martin highly enough! He recently fitted my kitchen and laid herringbone flooring throughout my downstairs and the results are absolutely outstanding. His craftsmanship is second to none, with real attention to detail and a clear pride in his work. We ran into a few unexpected issues (completely outside of his control and completely down to the kitchen supplier), but nothing was too much trouble. He approached every challenge with a positive, problem-solving attitude and always found a way to get things done to the highest standard without compromising on quality. Not only is his work exceptional, but he’s also reliable, professional, punctual and a pleasure to have completing the work. It’s rare to find someone so skilled and committed to delivering 5-star service, but that’s exactly what you get with him. If you’re looking for a top-class joiner/carpenter, look no further, you won’t be disappointed! Will never use anyone else again!
The joinery is in Tudor Lane , Riverside and I was pleased that I found this place to have some worktops cut to size to fit on drawer units we managed to rescue from the fitted units we had installed a few years ago. I was charged a reasonable price and the joiner was so helpful that he even edged the cut ends with the white strip. Throughly recommend this place for your woodwork needs.
They made wooden, double glazed windows for our old house. Excellent work, attention to detail, very satisfied
Great joiner. I highly recommend Martin and his fantastic joinery.
Best joiner around. Never seen detail and skill like it. Couldn't recommend him enough!!!
