I had my new plastif windows and composite doors fitted by Burngreave Building Company on behalf of South Yorkshire Housing, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received From start to finish the whole team was fantastic and handled everything professionally A special thank you to Wane and team They took great pride in their work treated my home as if it were their own ensured everything was completed to a very high standard and left everything clean and tidy afterward Id also like to thank the manager Faz who came to sign the work off He took the time to explain to me how the window restrictors worked and showed me how to operate the new composite door as the locks was completely different from my old one and made sure I was happy with everything excellent experience with outstanding workmanship and customer service
After a major water leak, Burgreave sent out a plumber and an electrician within the hour. They were so helpful. The problem was fixed promptly and the plumber even stayed to help get the water up using anything he could from his van. So grateful. Highly recommended.
I cannot thank Burngreave Building Company enough for the outstanding service they provided after an attempted break in at our home last night. A group of burglars damaged one of our windows trying to break in at 2 am leaving myself and my children extremely frightened and vulnerable. After reporting the incident police and my landlord Arches Housing, they assigned Burngreave Building Company to attend. Within 5 minutes of reporting the issue, Farham from Burngreave building company, called me to reassure me and arranged for an engineer to attend immediately. The engineer arrived within 25 minutes, quickly secured the damaged window, and made our home safe again, giving us peace of mind that the burglar could not return and gain access. What really stood out was the level of customer care. Before the engineer left, Farham called again to make sure everything had been completed to a high standard, that the property was fully secure, and that I was happy with the work carried out. That level of professionalism, compassion, and communication is rare to find. A huge thank you to Farham for handling such a distressing situation so promptly and professionally, and to the engineer for responding so quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Burngreave Building Company to anyone. Their response time, workmanship, and customer service were absolutely first class. In what was a very upsetting experience, they made us feel safe again, and for that we are incredibly grateful.
This is literally the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, they start works then leave it un-finished for weeks with no communication. Say they’ll call back then never do. They’re truly awful. Do not use
My bathroom was started on Tuesday the 19 the 19th of may 2026 where I had the old shower room taken out. The work was carried out with a professional manner and I’m so impresses with the workman man mark was a joy to have in my home. Mark was very polite and treated my home with the upmost respect and not only did mark do a first class professional job but cleaned up all the mess too. I thank mark for everything he has done.
I have sent an email to the company thanking them for their services on behalf of my grandma. They really are a dedicated company, very friendly and their work is always completed with such high standards. As well as being brilliant at their job, they are very understanding with frustrations and are happy to listen and always help. Highly recommend this company if anyone needs assistance with their homes, especially Mr Mark Rider, one of their staff that represent the company. He has been amazing from start to finish. He is a credit to their team and also their boss, ish. He dropped by a few times to check in on the process and was very supportive. I could not recommend a better service.
I had a joinery in my home this morning , and he was so lovely he didn’t go without my window mending he took the whole window out and nothing was any bother for him. We need more people like him who actually come out to fix things other than telling us there nothing they can do! So big shout to mark rider! 100% recommend , Carla from the close lundwood!
Absolutely appalled by the driving I witnessed today (02/03/2026) around 4:30pm on Sheffield Parkway. One of your drivers, registration V99 BBC, was driving reckless and swerving all over the road as if they were under the influence of drink or drugs. They were all over the place and almost hit my vehicle. It was extremely dangerous and could easily have caused a serious accident. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and puts other road users at serious risk. I strongly suggest you investigate this matter urgently.

Mark and Cam did an excellent job working in our kitchen. The quality of their work was very high, and everything was completed with great attention to detail. They were both very polite, professional, and true gentlemen throughout the whole job. We felt comfortable having them in our home and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Mark from Burngreave Building Company has been out to my home a few times now — first to refit my front door and patio door, and today to fit new tiles in my bathroom. Every visit has been spot-on. He’s consistently polite, explains exactly what he’s doing, and always makes sure I’m happy with the work before he leaves. Had some repair work done by this company recently --Very neat work carried out by a Builder called Patrick . Patrick was pleasant attentive and interested and did a neat professional caring job on the brickwork . He tidied up well afterwards -too. We also enjoyed humourous banter with him during the procedure . I will certainly use this company again. The staff at the office are also very helpful . Thank you Burngreave .
They took over in January 24 after I was flooded so the insurance company provided them to get my house in order. Promised that they were going to turn up but on so many occasions of myself taking days off work, they would make excuses and not turn up or they wouldn't contact me at all. By June 24 I moved out after being promised the work would be done by the 21st August but the work kept being moved back. I eventually moved back on the 5th November and got the shock of having to witness after this period of time that hardly anything had been done. In January 25 I eventually got my kitchen and plastering done after they told me that the damp which the flooding had coursed had been completed. It's now August 18th 25 and just been quoted £10,500 to sort out the damp. This company treated me with utter disgrace, that I wasn't important, no respect for my well being/health. At this moment my property downstairs is riddled with damp all because of this awful company no giving any care in their work.
Had some work done to my bedroom wall, job lasted a few days, the guys that came out, there was 3 of them all very polite and all I can say is the work they done was outstanding, never left a mess when they finish at night to come back the next day to continue the job, and also I have asthma, so I ask if I could borrow a mask 😷 but they all said no don’t worry we will clean all the dust up for you, So again just want to say thank you very much and again an outstanding Job. The guys in question are a credit to your company.
Awful company. Worst trade company i’ve ever had experience of. Terrible communication, had to have them back on several occasions to finish jobs properly. Customer service has been rubbish, very ignorant.
Not a building company more like a demolition company my insurance company had them do my work started off with a leak from a broken shower tray ended up having more or less a complete new bathroom tiled,they damaged the sink broke tiles refitted every thing then toilet leaked the bath leaked when we made a complaint they got aggressive down the phone to my wife worst company ever

Contacted Burngreave due to recent stormy weather damaging my fence panels. The office staff were lovely and had a fitter with me the following day. The fitter was called Dale and was a credit to the company. He was friendly, experienced and very clean in his approach to the job. Highly recommend this company Thanks very much
Burngreave Builders were appointed to manage my mothers insurance claim following an escape of water. Once the surveyor had completed his initial survey, it was only 5 weeks until they were onsite to complete the works. Once wall paper had been stripped off from the water damaged ceilings and walls it became apparent that a full re-plaster would be required. Burgreave issued a variation to the insurance company very promptly and got the instruction approved within a couple of days. 2 days later a plasterer was back onsite to complete the works, followed by decorators a couple of days later. The house was kept clean all the way through, and we were really happy with the completed project. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them and I would happily recommend this company
Avoid at all costs! Were instructed by my insurance company to complete works on my property. Didn’t acro my property which resulted in my property moving. It’s should have been the first thing done according to my new contractor Eventually pulled off the job as didn’t have a brick layer on the books after many broken promisies. Speak to you like complete rubbish, constantly lie and don’t show up when they say they’re going too. No wonder they don’t have anyone wanting to work for them if they treat customers the way they have treated and spoken to me! Constant chasing and unprofessional. Got another contractor in and works completed in 2 weeks after waiting almost 10 weeks for Burngreave to even attempt to lay one brick.

My shower was broken, they couldn’t come out straight away but always made sure I was kept up to date and when my shower was being fixed they were very friendly and efficient. Would recommend to anyone.
Really friendly and quick service, they contacted me yesterday and attended today, the bloke who attended and did my gate was lovely and also I had a call in the afternoon to ask if I was happy with the gate which is very rare these days. Following substantial flood damage from a leak in our bathroom whilst we were on holiday, the insurance company appointed Burngreave to undertake the repair works which comprised replacing the kitchen ceiling and coving, replacing kitchen worktops and some side panels, some electrical and plumbing works and redecorating. Communications were via telephone or email to the coordinator, who was extremely efficient at liaising with everyone. All workmen were competent, accommodating, tidy, and kept us informed of what was happening and when. We were very happy with the work undertaken and would recommend them to others.

Don't touch this company with a bargepole! South Yorkshire Housing Association contract out to them for the fitting of windows and doors and they are beyond useless. They were employed to fit a new composite door on my house starting work on 6th July. It's now 11th September and it's still not completed. It was fitted so badly that after a few days it had dropped so much it was jammed and wouldn't open. We had a weekend with no escape from the back of the house. To cut a very long story short, it was then temporarily adjusted, then ripped out and refitted. It's needed adjusting twice since. My kitchen floor is a mess, plastering work is still outstanding and I am sick to my back teeth of the whole saga. Despite all their promises, appointments are not kept and it's assumed I can just indefinitely keep changing my plans to accommodate them and sit around for hours waiting for people who don't bother to turn up. The managers are arrogant and there is zero accountability. If I was a homeowner and had paid them to do this work, I'd be claiming compensation. In short, they are extremely unreliable, very unprofessional and the standard of work is abysmal.
Provided a quick and efficient service to repair damaged caused by a burst water tank. All the tradesman were very quick and professional. House was restored to normal within 8 weeks. Could not fault it.
Fast and professional emergency repairs were conducted late at night to remove a damaged 3rd story window. Both workers were polite and resolved a dangerous situation quickly and safely.
Our House flooded the kitchen the ceiling the floor the paintwork you name it was all ruined. This company were brilliant. All the workers that attended were polite and great at their jobs. Burngreave Building Company have completed several projects for us over the last three years including fitting a new boiler, repairing our roof and chimney and re-plastering two of our rooms after water ingress destroyed the existing plaster. All the work has been carried out efficiently with the minimum of disruption and a care to avoid unnecessary mess. Martin, Alan, Graham and Clive did all the cleaning up after the work and I would happily have any of them back to work on our house again. They were unfailingly pleasant and happy to talk us through any aspect of the work we had questions about. 10/10
Re good workmanship from all the team. Contacted each day by James to check how happy we were with the work. Malcolm came out to assess damage from outsode wall being knocked down and the one of brickies came out, was really pleasant amd polite and rebuilt the wall, even going out to get bricks to try and match. Would definately recomend the company.
A very big thank you to Malcolm and the team of lads who repaired our kitchen following a leak from our washing machine. The lads were very respectful of the Covid19 regulations and they worked extremely hard to complete the task. All of them were polite and left the kitchen tidy and safe each evening after they had left. A special big thank you to Sam who was the main worker.
Failed to turn up to two confirmed bookings. Having called them on each day after waiting several hours they said they had nothing on their system and proceeded to blame either other employees or their computer. Thank you for both wasting my time and costing me money. If you make the mistake of employing this company's services, make sure you go to their office and have them confirm the date / time in blood.
