Topmarx handled the repairs for my insurance claim. The repairs are immaculate. Everyone at Topmarx was exceedingly helpful and considerate in addition to making an excellent job of the repairs.

Absolutely fantastic service form Topmarx and so stress free. My ceiling had a leak and from the moment I contacted my insurance, Topmarx were efficient and so professional. They sent me a schedule of works to approve, and all work people were on time, polite, and stuck to the schedule with kindness and the highest standard of work. Cannot recommend enough.

Topmarx Southampton recently completed a complex renovation at our Bournemouth property after major water damage, and we are very happy with the outcome. Overseen by Tommy and Gary, the team was professional, organised, and responsive throughout. Project management was excellent, and all subcontractors—plasterers, painters and decorators, carpenters, and flooring specialists—delivered consistently high‑quality work. Communication was clear, and great care was taken to ensure a high‑standard finish. The result has transformed the property. We would highly recommend Topmarx for reliable, skilled renovation work.
Topmarx carried out the repair of my mother's bathroom after a waterleak, which involved taking tiles off walls and floor, removing all bathroom fittings, drying out the sub floor and rebuilding the bathroom. We now have lovely bathroom tiles and Topmarx were timely and reliable throughout, were excellent in communication and the work was carried out to a high standard.
Gary Richardson (Poole Dorset) I hadn’t heard of Topmarx before, until I had an insurance claim of subsidence of steps and landing with handrail At the front of my property. It was Taken down, Then dug down to put in the foundations, then reviewed to change the construction of the foundation to a raft foundation to my agreement.(This was a far better outcome for the foundation of the steps). my experience of Topmarx was excellent in communication delivery of materials, organisation and workers dedication to their job and knowledge. I spent a good part of my working life in the construction industry as a carpenter and doing small works. {I can recommend to anyone to employ Topmarx to carry out works to their property. From my experience. Sorry for the pun, I give Topmarx Topmarx!🤭

After a pretty bad water leak from the top floor we had to have two ceilings replaced and several walls re-plastered and everything painted. There were some initial delays and issues with getting the various sub-contracted companies to talk to each other but once the work schedule was issued I was genuinely astonished with how well everything went. Each tradesman was punctual and respectful to me and my family (we had nowhere else to go so they had to work round us!), and the quality of the work done by the plasterers and especially the decorators Andy & Joe was absolutely first class. Only minus one star because I had to do some of the initial chasing to get the ball rolling.
We had water damage in our bedroom. On 24/11/25 Terry the plasterer came to replace coving. He was very friendly. He worked so hard and so fast and did an excellent job. Can't fault him. On 2/12/25 Nev the decorator came. He is a lovely man. Worked consistently for 3 days and hardly stopped. Also worked very hard and did a most excellent job. Thank you to all of the TopMarx men who worked in my house, I would gladly recommend this company. Maggie Sheppard
TopMarx were a great help in making good a potentially serious bathroom leak in my new home, along with liaising with my house insurers. If only I’d known about them first, before engaging the services of a money grabbing emergency plumbing company
Topmarx Limited is an excellent company that have been carrying out all the repair and renovation work following significant damage to my house. Their team leader Chris and Gary (in charge for the works) have been superbly helpful in all aspects starting from communication to providing workmanship of highest standard most of which was carried out by Liam. The house damage was a traumatic experience and also led to personal tragedy. Chris and Gary were very reassuring right from the beginning (in their words : 'we shall get you back to your house') . It has been a long process as there were issues that needed addressing delaying things that were beyond their control but very soon I shall be able to move back to my house. I have nothing but utmost admiration and gratitude for their professional attitude, calming and reassuring demeanour, communication skills and workmanship. I could not have been in better hands. My best wishes to the entire team company and I strongly recommend them.
My name is Maggie , I live in Thatcham. TopMarx sent two brothers, Chris and John to my house to do massive repair work to my bedroom ceiling. They arrived early, bought goods then started their day. I offered drinks but they just worked their socks off not stopping for drinks or a break. Working continuously all day. They were very friendly and very kind to me. They also did me a massive favour in taking away carpet tiles which was not on their job description. Everything was left clean and tidy. I cannot fault them and they deserve recognition for their kindness and an excellent job done. Thank you Chris and John
Topmarx have just restored the downstairs of our house after a water leak in the kitchen. We can't thank them enough. All the workman...Paul and Steve ( builders) Margarita and Nerijus for our decorating, all the removals and electrician guys, they were all very professional and respectful of our home.We would recommend them 100%. DO NOT let your insurance company use this company. If there were -1 * available they would have it. Awful communication. Will leave you waiting for weeks. Do not provide information to insurance company or other companies as required. Arrange one time and turn up hours early even if you've said you're unavailable and at work. The most unhelpful company it is possible to find.
After initial impression.. Excellent work. Excellent people. The workmen (and girls in reception) are absolutely fabulous. In fact, two of men were talking about how best to deal with something, not knowing I was walking towards them and overhearing. They helped in ways over and above the actual job. Other friends, including a professional workman, have commented on the amazing work. [First impressions... (Appeared to do the job well. They were investigating the problem rather than dealing with it. Personable and pleasant people. They took photos which, at first, were lost over email or simply not sent when supposed to. Following this i received a phone call. It ended by being told I'd need to organise an engineer. I tried to explain that my insurance company were dealing with every aspect, but the firmness of the voice disturbed me. Anyway I did phone my insurance company who reassured me that everything was being handled by them. This could have been extremely upsetting for an elderly person on their own. It is not good, in fact, potentially harmful, for someone in your company to make a firm statement on something, about which he knows nothing..)]
Rude, arrogant, condescending and they park like this, leave tools all over the path, and shout at you for asking questions.
UPDATE: The brick wall they built fell over after a year! Not only is the customer service awful but their work is awful too! Awful and dishonest company. They sent a bricklayer who was racially abusive and threatening to my family. When we raised this with topmarx (Matt and Holly) they told us they will stop working with him and will send someone else to finish the work. The same bricklayer came to our property three times to finish the work. We've sent security footage and screenshots to Topmarx about this and they're ignored it and denied that they didn't know he went back. We even have a video of the bricklayer taking pictures of his work and sending them to topmarx! They've also damaged our Electric charger and is refusing to repair or replace it. We've sent them security footage of the electrician damaging it too. Completely avoid this company! If your insurance company chooses Topmarx then request for a different company. There's a reason why they have so many bad reviews and refuse to respond to them!
Brilliant job restoring my home after a major flood. The property needed almost everything sorted, ceilings, floors, electrical work etc and Topmarx have done a brilliant job. Jo, Gary and Tommy have been great communicators and no nonsense, but also big thanks to all the trades they've used as other than some minor final snagging issues I can't fault their work.
Topmarx we're excellent in sorting out my father's property. They completed the external and internal works in a timely manner to a very high standard and where very tidy and polite.
I have nothing but praise for Topmarx who, on behalf of our insurers, are handling the damage caused by an underfloor water leak in our hall. Paul who came to survey the damage was very professional, Karen and her colleagues in the office have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and Paul who came to lift all the ceramic floor tiles was brilliant. He was extremely courteous, experienced, and a very tidy worker and left the area in a cleaner condition than before he started. Great to see someone who takes such pride in their work, and he is a great asset to the company. Top marks for Topmarx!

I recently had a water leak and after contacting my insurance company Topmarx was appointed to carry out the work involved. Once a schedule of works was agreed from start to finish the experience was excellent and I received great customer service from all trades. Thankyou so much as I was very daunted by all the works involved which went really smoothly.

We had an insurance job completed by Topmarx this year. All in all a good job done. New flooring, electrical work and plumbing excellent. Scott, the site manager, was very reliable in seeing reinstatement through and kept us informed at each stage.
Topmarx were involved in carrying out internal repairs and decorations following work to our foundations and which involved cutting out and filling cracks and redecorating three rooms. Both a plasterer and a decorator attended to carry out the work which they did in exemplary fashion. Both were prompt, hard working and obviously skilled in their trades. The rooms were left neat and tidy and we were delighted by the standard of their work. Although the work was commissioned and paid for by our insurers we would have no hesitation in recommending them for the quality of their work and service.
Topmarx did a superb job putting our kitchen back together following a large water leak. The guy who laid the floor was extremely nice and a perfectionist in his work. Tony the decorator was also amazing in his standard of work and very friendly as was the plummer. Topmarx have a great team and we are extremely pleased with the results . Thank you all so much
Just had some recently work carried out by Topmarx for an insurance job, courteous, professional and the tradesman did a great job, was a partial garage rebuild and finished results look seamless.
Topmarx were appointed by our insurance company to carry our subsidence repairs to our property. The staff arrived onsite promptly everyday and were friendly and approachable. Hannah was fantastic at keeping us informed of what was going to happen as and when and was always pleasant on the telephone.
This company are a disgrace to their trade. The communication was poor. The majority of their work was shoddy. The job is unfinished. The workmen were all negative about the company.

We were in the middle of a property insurance claim, the loss adjuster proposed us to use Topmarx. We contacted them just before Christmas 2022, they managed to send one of their estimators out shortly after Christmas, the estimate was returned to the loss adjuster, various amendments were made - all signed off and then work commenced a few weeks later - when schedules allowed. The majority of the work was completed on time, however Easter holidays interrupted activities, various trade thought they were finished but there were a couple of outstanding items to complete. These were completed in a timely manner and all the works were completed well, the various redecoration is good. The communication from the office based team was great and they looked after any concerns, reporting back as needed. All in all a good responsive and helpful company to have worked with, with everything managed through a single point of contact. I cannot fault the approach, very good . Many thanks.

Very helpful staff particularly Hannah. Delighted with work and repairs completed by Topmarx. I was very grateful for their support and help when tenants refused to have the work done and work had to be cancelled. However, a year later and work has now been completed without any problems. I am delighted and relieved.
FROM the time you get a phone to sort out whats needid , what to do to minimize the repair you get a fisrt class service , we had a very bad leak in a bedroomn from a hole in the roof after a storm , The teams of men 🚹 sent out wre so helpful nothing to much trouble ,,,, Holy sent all the right teams out it quick order other staff were on hand as well , ,,,, we are so happy we cant thank them enough 110 % recomendation , as we have had some bad ones ,,,, but not T O P M A R K S Please thank are your teams for there hard work and tea,s all round Graham & Iris Southsea
An extremely professional and friendly team that repaired our annex after a burst pipe went off over the Christmas period. Work was carried out quickly and to a very high standard. Would definitely reccommend. I honestly cannot understand the negative reviews, I actually feel really disappointed in the reviews Top Marx have received as they deserve nothing less than 5 stars. They made a very upsetting situation a very pleasant one. I actually think the annex looks better than it did before! Please take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt. Every single person we dealt with from claims administrator to the carpenters, plumbers, decorators, surveyors etc were just so professional and really took pride in their work. Thank you so much TopMarx, honestly cannot thank you enough.
The guys did a fantastic job on removing and replacing my living room ceiling after I’d had a water leak. They all arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and were very clean and tidy. I was kept well informed by the office and the work was arranged so that each stage was completed without any gaps of time.

Our insurance providers have made the unfortunate decision to use Topmarx as a third party provider to repair our knocked down garden wall. On 3 separate occasions a bricklayer was suppose to attend meaning we had to stay in because of this. 3 times they have not attended and our wall is still on the floor after 3 months. Awful customer service, they will not even provide details so you can raise a complaint. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Shoddy work, poorly organised, unprofessional, your worst nightmare. DO NOT USE Danny at top Marx has completely ruined my home with his shoddy work. He also suddenly left it abandoned and unfinished for me to return to with my three year old after holiday without even communicating just went silent. Apparently they had a better job to move onto. He has a terrible attitude problem and I did not feel comfortable being around him In my home Chris Jones - project manager has unbelievably poor communication skills and lies. He will tell you one thing your face then do the opposite and completely disappear not even communicating that they have abandoned the job and left your home in a worse state than when they came. I have never come across such a POOR level of service, repairs and decorating at every level. I am sure they will go out of business soon.
Topmarx was appointed by insurance company to fix escape of water claim. From the numerous agreed dates none was every kept always shifting the blame in the six months they dealt with the claim repairs. Always contradicting what they were saying. Terrible communication processes from admin to surveyor. Left the job done halfway disputing they advised us to get other suppliers. The replacement building contractor had to fix their shoddy workmanship on kitchen worktop that was cut with electric handsaw that left it with gaps when the joints had to be clamped together for worktop and the kitchen basin was damaged that had to be replaced. If you get them hope for the best.
Had Topmarx working on my home in relation to insurance claim and subsidence repairs. This involved brickwork repairs, internal plaster crack repairs and wall finishing and bathroom tiling and sanitaryware remove/reinstall. Topmarx were flexible regarding material choices and installing new sanitary products I purchased rather than putting old ones back which were in poor condition. Very nice bathroom tiling job which is much better than what I started with when I purchased the property including little details like access hatches installed within areas of boxing out. All materials disposed of in hired skip. Good match of brickwork for repairs. Friendly and helpful claims handlers in the office and very friendly trades people who just got on with the work while I attempted to work from home while parenting a toddler. Job went on a little longer which is understandable with regards to general subcontractor shortages at the moment. Would recommend.
Topmarx were instructed by our insurance company to handle repair work in our home following a leak from our neighbours. Out of around 10 agreed dates and times for work to be completed, none of them were successful. They were just incapable of organising anything effectively over a period of around 9 months. We had several occasions where no one turned up, people turned up with no equipment, only 1 person turned up for a 2 man job, 2 separate contractors turning up thinking they had been booked for the same job. We were constantly left having prepared our home for work to be done and taken time off work, to then having to move it all back and rearrange for another day. All of the work they completed was shoddy and poor quality and in the process of doing it they have caused more problems than we had in the first place. They were incredibly unhelpful, and it was just a constant blame game of people saying they didn't know about the job - through from the admin girl right up to the Directors. No apology was really received and we have now received our excess back and will be getting the work done privately ourselves. Never known anything quite like it before. It was just a complete disaster from start to finish.
Only just had our first interaction with TopMarx but from the first phone call from them to the huge smile of Paul S coming in and telling us not to worry - it's great there are some good old school - no nonsense firms and staff out there.
After two and a half very stressful years Topmarx came to my rescue. All the trades people were professional courteous and arrived on time. The work which was an insurance claim included structural repairs to brickwork Plastering and plumbing and decorating. It was carried out to an excellent degree. My thanks to everyone who helped to sort my problems at last!
I had this company restore my house after a house fire. Working on behalf of my insurance company. The restoration took 4 month's. From start to finish I can only say they done a fantastic job. We were able to stay in our home whilst the restoration took place and found all of there staff to be polite and accoumodating to any of our requests. Any problems that arose were dealt with swiftly for me by there site agent and surveyor who were very helpful. The quality of there work is excellent and the end result is fantastic. When you have the trauma of a house fire you need people that understand this experience and are able to help alleviate or further any more distress. Topmarx did this for our family without doubt. I would recommend this company without hesitation. So thanks Tommy, Ray and all of there other trade staff members who attended our house to restore it. You done a great job for us. Thanks
Topmarx have been employed to sort out my mum's house following an insurance claim. They are 8 weeks behind schedule and their work standard is appalling, having been asked what colour we wanted the wood work which was white they have only painted the picture rails and skirting boards which they replaced. So we are left with the rest of the wood work being cream doors and skirting boards. Paint scuffs and nicks on what they have done, not good enough paint coats done. We have fed up we have now hired another decorator to sort out all their f**k ups, there is more I can write but it makes me angry thinking of it. Don't use them or let any insurance company make you feel like you have to, take the money and employ your own decorator and builders.
I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life. No idea how to manage a reinstatement. Can’t even paint a wall properly. One bodged job after another. Treated our house like some kind of training school for unskilled workers. And treated us like we were stupid. Handed the house back in a diabolical state which was unpsetying and stressful. Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Work has just been completed. The team sent in have done a wonderful job. They were very professional and skilled. They cleaned up at the end of everyday and worked tirelessly through some very hot weather. Thank you
