Cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and quality of work done, particularly as it was for a listed building where the correct materials used were also needed to support the historical heritage of the building. We had the misfortune of a house fire on NYE 2025/26 which resulted in Wilts & Dorset Fire Service having to remove a large number of bricks to gain access to the source of the fire. The property is a Grade II listed, C16th cottage with some bricks of the chimney dating back to the Tudor period; so we were keen to maintain the construction and aesthetic of the chimney for both legal and emotional reasons. Jamie's work has been nothing short of exceptional. Using a combination of salvaged bricks (from the demolition) and colour-matched modern bricks the chimney has been fully restored and easily looks and improvement upon before where some of the mortar was in a sorry state. The photographs do not do this fireplace justice, but it is very much the centrepiece of the sitting room and we could not be more pleased with the work carried out. Beyond this, communication throughout was prompt and professional, great care was taken to minimise dust and debris in our home, and the room was left in a better state than when JS Quality Homes arrived on site. All round, a perfect service has been provided and I would heartily recommend them to anybody in need of a builder who is sensitive to the needs of an older home.

Jamie and Liam are passionate about the work they do. They are committed craftsmen and take every care to complete any project to perfection. They keep you informed, are prompt, pay attention to the smallest detail and tidy up at the end of every day. Not cheap, but you pay for quality work. I would not hesitate to recommend them, particularly for older properties.
From start to finish amazing attention to detail, restoring our faith in the building trade, having been let down so badly in the past! I was impressed from the first with Js Quality Homes. A surveyor friend looked at their identification of the work required to support the chimney in my listed cottage and said that it was exemplary. They kept me informed very step of the way, including taking photographs, were punctual, charming and cleaned up beautifully behind them. One of the tiles was broken when the scaffolders removed the scaffolding and there was no question about coming round and repairing it. As an added endorsement, the scaffolder said that if he needed any work done on his house, he would use Js Quality Homes.
A great job from Jamie and Liam repointing the chimney on our Grade II listed cottage. Very high standard of workmanship and attention to detail. Jamie worked hard to find solutions to our water ingress problems. We hope they will come back to do future work. A pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
This is the 5th or 6th job that Jamie and team have done for us. It's always a pleasure to work with someone who knows his trade inside and out and can explain what action is needed (and why) to fix problems. He's also extremely familiar with the housing stock around Winchester - his experience shines thru. This time Jamie did some indoor work- lifted floorboards, sorted a minor damp issue and then replaced everything back good plus subfloor insulation. Also fitted a new ceiling after a couple of plumbing related incidents from a much less competent installer. Excellent job done on time and in budget as usual. I highly recommend Jamie and look forward to getting his team over for the next piece of work in a few weeks.
I have used Js Quality Homes for a number of jobs on my house and would never consider using anyone else. My dad recommended Jamie and his team to me many years ago. This time I asked him to build an out-house for storage purposes in the back of my garden. It has been built to perfection with every effort to make it as strong as possible so it will last for many, many years. Jamie always puts his heart and soul into everything he does and he and Liam will always complete a job before they move into the next job. They always turn up on time and leave the place emaculately tidy. Nothing is any bother to them and it’s a pleasure having them around. Thank you for all your hard work and kindness!
Have used JS Quality Homes several times now and each time I have found the work to be of the highest standard. We had the roof on our old house replaced a few years ago and Jamie really went that extra mile. It was a magnificent job and we were so pleased with it. Most recently we had a steel beam put in and a couple of walls knocked out. Even the Building Inspector commented on what a fantastic job it was. Jamie is so knowledgable, explains things really well and keeps you updated with progress throughout. I wouldn’t use anybody else now and would recommend to anyone.
A wonderful team of two! Phenomenal work to a wobbly chimney on a very precious home. Took a while to get them on site but so worth the wait. Tidy, cleaned up daily and worked like a couple of demons thank you both so much.
