We asked Homelodge to design and build a bar and snooker room for our garden and from start to finish, Felix, Gareth, Dave, Tom and team have been fantastic throughout the entire project. I could not fault the team I met before lodge was built. I visited for the day to choose colour schemes & all the fittings I wanted. Lunch was provided & was made to feel very welcome. I was not pressured to hurry up with my decision I made. When the date arrived for lodge to be built the building team arrived & they were so polite & got on with the job. Over the weeks several different teams came to do the jobs they specialised in. All of them were so happy & enjoyed there jobs. The finish to the lodge was excellent & good standard. When they left the site everything was cleared up & taken away. You can ring home lodge if you have a question to ask & they will help you. Homelodge are a brilliant family run company who have built my mum an amazing gorgeous new home in our garden. From start to finish everything was well organised and planned down to every tiny detail and we are very happy. Felix thought of and made many suggestions to help with the planning, ideas we hadn't thought of and it has all come together so well. I noticed my neighbour's Google review, and I want to share my perspective. The Homelodge site team was always polite, clean, and tidy during the installation. The drain in our road has been blocked for several years, and that certainly wasn’t caused by Homelodge. At the end of the work, the Homelodge team went above and beyond by cleaning out the drain and tidying up the verge. Since they left, I've observed other delivery lorries going over the verge while delivering goods to houses down the lane. For anyone considering an annexe, we highly recommend Homelodge. Good Afternoon It is lovely to see how happy all your customers are with their new lodges. It must be very satisfying being held in such high esteem with your customers. However if you happen to be the neighbours of your customers, maybe they would not give such a glowing review! We have spent a small fortune to address drainage and flooding water problems,over the last few years and I politely asked your builder's not to block my driveway and not to park on my grass verge,I was made to feel a nuisance and had promises to make good my grass verge. But guess what? Homelodge and their builder's have moved to the next project,and I am left clearing the mud away from my drains again.(which were perfectly fine until homelodge arrived.) We found the whole experience with Homelodge exemplary along the whole journey from initial meeting through the pricing process , agreeing the final design , coordination with my own specialist contractors (for Sewage Treatment Plant and mains power intake) dealing with the Local authority, delivery , installation , extensive external works ,snagging and provision of post completion documents and maintenance details. We have had 2 home lodges built. One in 1998 ( 11 metres ) and one ( 17.9 metres) in 2020 when they had to cope with lockdowns. On both occasions Homelodge were brilliant. I can't praise this company enough. Building an annexe at the bottom of our garden for my elderly mother was a huge undertaking for me both emotionally & in terms of time. Homelodge buildings 'held my hand' the whole way through from the initial site visit to, not just completion of the lodge, but design & build of the raised beds. The construction teams were a pleasure to have around, always courteous and friendly. They bent over backwards to accommodate tweaks to the design, allowing my mum to have a slate hearth for her electric fire & creating a worktop saver out of left over splashback. We needed to arrange more practical accommodation for my parents for the later stage of their life. The ideal solution was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Lodge with an open plan kitchen reception room. The planning was meticulously done by the Homelodge team, they were incredibly helpful throughout every stage of the process. I have had my Classic Homelodge since 2008 as my Osteopathic/Ayurvedic clinic and it still looks great. Most of my work in creating a relaxing holistic space is done as soon as my patients see it and then walk in to the ambient temperature that retains heat so well. I have recently had a need to contact the team regarding a spruce up and Natalie was beyond helpful in supplying me with paint recommendations etc. I must have saved thousands in commercial rent plus time commuting. It was one of my best decisions financially and aesthetically. I wouldn't look anywhere else for a garden office/studio.

We've had our Homelodge for 1.5 years now and couldn't be happier with it. The after sales service is superb. We accidentally broke the front door handle and contacted Homelodge to get the details so we could order a new one. My wife and I made contact with Home lodge in the early part of 2022. From the first exploratory meeting we found them to be very helpful, constructive, and honourable in their dealings with us in regard to both the planning regulations and design of our intended lodge. We obtained permission to proceed without any problems in September and following a final design details and fitting meeting with ( the extremely knowledgeable Felix) in November - work began in late February 2023. It proceeded at at what can only be described at a cracking pace (thanks to Tom and his team) resulting in our being able to move in - remarkably on April 6th. All in all a magnificent achievement. After almost a year in occupation we find the place feels solid, secure, very labour saving, warm (cool in summer). At the end of the day an eminently satisfactory experience and happy home. Granny Annexe Herefordshire When we first decided to move mum into the bottom of the garden we all had a chuckle as to what she would end up in. After weeks of research the decision to call Homelodge was made. We were not disappointed. After a visit to their premises; a must if you are looking to complete a project like this, we paid our deposit and waited for our slot. Be prepared to wait, they are busy. You commission a company such as Homelodge to look after you from start to finish including the planning process. From the groundworks to the final handover, finished and ready to move in, they never disappointed. One of the great features of Homelodge is the ability to take a basic design and then customise it to your requirements. Ours included underfloor heating, although not cheap to run is excellent when the occupier is in their mid-eighties. Another feature added to the design is a wonderful glass bespoke rain canopy over the bifold doors. We also included a non-opening picture window on the back wall of the lodge. This gives wonderful views of the Herefordshire sunsets. One other excellent feature which was built by the groundworks team is a raised patio and path from the lodge to the main house, including lighting. This just goes to show the versatility of the company with attention to detail of paramount importance. Mum is delighted with her lodge. The finish is excellent. It is comfortable and warm and easy to live in. It is light and airy which is helped by the vaulted ceiling making it feel much larger than it actually is. This is an excellent company run by a diligent MD and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Homelodge to anyone who is looking to create a wonderful home for their elderly relative.

I am loving living in my Homelodge. The whole process from planning to completion was carried out efficiently. The staff in the office answered any queries I had and the build went to plan. The lodge is bright and airy and I love the bedroom with its high white beamed ceiling.

Frome the moment we visited the Homelodge Factory and display site we were impressed by the lodges and the detail they took us through in the planning stages of our lodge. They subsequently visited our site and then took us through all of the details of the plans which we wanted. After committing to all of the fine details of what we were going to have we agreed to exactly what we were going to have built and installed. The ground workers were a very friendly and helpful in preparing the site, and subsequently we were equally pleased with the construction team who all did their best to be as unintrusive as they could be whilst building a substantial lodge. We were very please indeed with the end result of the lodge, and my mother-in-law has been extremely happy living there. Homelodge have subsequently arranged free maintenance visits when they have identified potential future issues and have replaced some equipment in order to eliminate any potential future problems even though we have had no problems with their original installation. Their service has been exemplary. I have only attached an external photograph as I think nobody want to see and old lady living in the lodge, but I do assure you that we are very happy with the whole lodge as is she.

Absolutely fabulous!! From the moment you make contact I had a feeling of trust. I had several ideas of how I wanted my lodge to look kept chopping and changing my mind. It was Homelodge who guided me to get the best from the size of lodge I chose and I am delighted with the end result. Friends and family have visited and they all said wow!! I wanted a modern and contemporary look and I have not been disappointed and the finish is high end. The team who undertook the initial ground work were very professional and hard working as were the construction team who spent just under a month building the lodge. Throughout the build they were happy to let me look around to see progress and were very friendly and considerate. I was sad to see them go when they finished. Since moving in there have been a couple of things I needed help with and Homelodge have been straight round to sort things. To me the quality of aftercare is so important and this company certainly provides their customers with great service. Having had an awful battle with planning, we turned to Homelodge for advice and a possible solution for a living space for my mum. Being a fussy designer myself, Homelodge were very flexible and allowed such freedom in the design. Their system allows a real sense of individuality. The lodges can be a standard or tweaked to suit personal preference. When our application was rejected by our county council, Homelodge supported resubmitting an alternative location. Thankfully the second site was approved but they would have supported us through appeal if needed. The finished product.. well it’s now 18months old and fab, its solid and warm. It looks great outside and my mum is delighted with her home.

We used Homelodge 2 years ago to build a lodge in our garden for an elderly parent. We cannot speak highly enough of the whole process. From an initial home visit where every possibility was clearly explained, right through to the onsite construction, everything was carried out with meticulous planning. 18 months of living in my Homelodge and I'm as delighted now as I was when the handover meeting took place. From initial conversations, to agreeing the design, helping customise room sizes for my furniture, my experience with Homelodge was exceptional. I took great comfort in their total solution offering and knowing that they would handle literally everything from design, local council paperwork, groundwork, manufacture, construction and utilities. I valued the fact that the MD of Homelodge was the one who met with us to lock in the final specifications of finishes, electrical socket positioning, lighting and absolutely everything else. I never felt like I was just another customer / build - the project mattered as much to the company as it did to me. Their planning and scheduling was realistic and in the end the build was finalised ahead of schedule. The build team were incredible! Turning up every day, on time, and working together as if they were one mind with many bodies all in synchronicity. They worked tirelessly during the winter build and were always courteous and considerate while bringing to life my lodge. I actually missed seeing them after they had finished. 18 months on and there hasn't been a single snag, issue or problem with my beautiful home. My mother moved into her homelodge in April of this year and is very very happy. She has her own space with family on the door step. Whilst moving house at any age can be a very stressful experience, taking the decision to relocate to a lodge with family brings additional worry and uncertainty. I started my Homelodge journey with many questions and quite a long list of potential obstacles, any one or combination of which I anticipated would be a probable stumbling block to the construction of a lodge in our back garden. In reality, none of my imagined hurdles proved to be a problem, and from initial discussions and through the drawing up, tweaking and finalising of plans to the selection of materials, flexibility and plenty of choice was offered to create a building which would perfectly meet our needs. I had a couple of unconventional design wishes which – whilst unusual - were accommodated exactly as requested. Communication throughout was efficient and cordial. The likely time frame of which I was advised at the outset for the whole process of lodge planning up to completion, was not only held-to but exceeded. Once the groundwork started, even though a previously-existing foundation on our site proved extremely tough and unexpectedly time-consuming to penetrate, the delay this caused in preparing the lodge’s base was managed and overcome without fuss. The teams with different functions co-operated well and worked around each other amicably, and the planning and co-ordination required to ensure the right trades and supplies arrived on site at the appropriate time, was really impressive. All staff were hard-working, courteous, considerate, friendly and a pleasure to see on a daily basis. The speed of construction was staggering, going from an empty piece of land to a completely liveable building in 26 working days. Our lodge is a warm, welcoming, airy and light-filled space which maximises the plot on which it stands and has most definitely more than met my hopes and expectations. It is so much brighter and easier to heat than our main house, that over winter we may well end up spending more time enjoying the lodge than the house! I would enthusiastically recommend Homelodge to anyone, and already have done to several neighbours. My grateful thanks to everyone in the office and in the various site teams whose efforts and enthusiasm contributed to our wonderful new building.

We had been badly let down by a rogue builder and were extremely cautious about putting our faith and (money) into another company. Our fears were totally unfounded. ALL staff communicated at every step of the process, the planning process was smooth even with the notoriously difficult council planning department that we come under. The construction was carried out by a efficient courteous and hard working team. All time scales were adhered to and due to very favourable weather our Lodge was completed a week earlier than planned. We have been living in our new home since 15th July and couldn't be happier.

Unfortunately we didn't get our dream lodge. What was supposed to be a plan to have our mum live in a lodge so we could take care of her, ended up being the worst 2+ years of lives. There's actually too much that went wrong to put in this review,we were let down on all sides, all I can say is if you live in The London Borough of Hillingdon in Middlesex you will never get one approved..on a promise from HL given to us when we first made contact, through to the plans being submitted, waiting months on both sides for any decisions, lost months in communication which no one put their hands up to which added to so much stress for all my family,chasing up and putting our trust in those who gave us every hope and promise that it would happen, hanging on for months and months which turned into then years but to no avail..very disappointed in the whole experience that never happened cost us so much money and it didn't pay off. Never again!
