Neville is fantastic! Do try him before you chuck it!! I took him a cordless and a corded vacuum that were both dead / dying and he has repaired both. And at a rapid speed and with tremendous communication throughout. The prices are very fair and costs of spare parts are completely transparent. Top service and I’m now searching my home for more items in need of repair to bring to him.
Neville is a wizard! I approached him via a phone call to discuss a faulty charging port on an Anker Solix portable battery. Some background research I shared with Neville suggested a new port would need to be soldered to the battery's PCB, so I purchased the part required and let Neville work his magic. He turned the repair around in just 2 days, very kindly working to some time restraints I had. Service is above and beyond. It almost warrants breaking more stuff intentionally just to experience that level of customer care once more. I suggest you stop for a brief chat and a glance into his fantastic shed.

FANTASTIC service! I have a Sage coffee machine that needed a bit of tlc so booked it in for a service. It took approx 3 hours and I was able to collect the same day so I didnt suffer from coffee withdrawal! Very friendly, reliable, knowledgeable and all in all a fantastic experience. We had an issue with a blown power supply in our Duplo booklet maker in our printroom. The board is no longer made and the manufacturer was concerned if they fitted the new type then it wouldn't be compatible with our machine and they would have to replace more bits. We found Neville on google who was happy to take a look and after initially replacing a blown fuse found some further issues which he diagnosed and repaired within a day for a fraction of the price of a new board. He kept me updated the whole time and the machine is now back in service. Would 100% recommend based on our experience. Thanks a lot for your help

Positive, professional, comprehensive, and a quick turnaround. Completely repaired, serviced and PAT tested my Sage Duo Temp Pro so that I can use it for another ten years -- having already used it constantly daily for ten years. No need to throw the machine away and replace with a brand new one. The place is local too (unlike the alternative official Sage repair place, in Bristol). Loving the rejuvenation and ability to be planet friendly! I've tested the machine after the work and can confidently say that everything was done really well. Highly recommend. Thank you, Neville.
Excellent service from Neville. He was able to repair our Dyson broken trigger. He also said that he had reinforced the new one, so shouldn’t break again. Very reasonable price and considerably cheaper than a new one and no landfill. (And no extra profits for Dyson due to his built in obsolescence!😁)

My little Sage Bambino decided to snuff it on a particularly bad day. After a bit of troubleshooting with trusty old ChatGPT, I quickly realised my own neglect had caught up with me... and that no amount of panicked citric acid was going to fix it on its own. I fully expected to struggle to find someone local or have to send the machine away, which I really didn’t want to do. Luckily, Neville’s Basset Repair Shop came up straight away. I was initially sold by the introduction on his website, who doesn’t trust someone who includes their cat on their business page? I was hooked. The reviews were glowing, so I emailed Neville, and his response was incredibly quick. From the start, Neville was transparent, genuine, and informative. He explained everything clearly, set realistic expectations, and never once made me feel silly for asking questions. He was also super flexible, kindly arranging for us to drop the machine off over the weekend, and had my little Sage Bambino fully repaired by the Monday. Honestly, the whole experience was stress free, professional, and reassuring. I had what I thought was a major leak on my Sage Barista Express coffee machine so I contacted Neville, and brought my machine in for him to see what the problem was. The problem was much, much worse than anticipated. Neville was wonderful. He called me back within an hour, relaying exactly what was wrong with the machine, that the heater was beyond repair due to limescale damage/build up, plus leaking pipes. Within 24 hours my machine was fixed, serviced and working like new, and I was more than happy at the cost of the repair and full service. I'm so pleased as the machine is more than 7 years old and is now working superbly! What more could I ask for! Thank you so much, Neville.

Great customer service. The power board failed on my Samsung TV and Neville quickly diagnosed the problem via email and sent me a link to a provider to buy a replacement board, that I fitted myself. I will of course continue to take the tricky stuff to him!

My cpap machine just stopped working and as expected out of warranty. I suspected a power cable problem- Neville was able to diagnose and replace both power parts for a lot less than the manufacturer was quoting. Very happy. He also fixed an expensive keyboard that had a very badly designed usb port seemingly designed to break! Thanks a lot!!!

What an absolute find. I have had two lamps repaired , very efficient and really reasonable price. I have just had the electrical controller on a beauty treatment bed repaired and again this was done really promptly and at a price that was good, the alternative would have been a new bed as I couldn’t get spares .

Neville did an excellent job to ‘refresh’ my practise guitar amp, cleaning the volume and gain pots, the two-channel selector switch (between clean and overdrive), the input jack socket and reflowing solder joints on the circuit board. The amp no longer ‘crackles’ when adjusting the amp’s pots or the channel switch. A fine professional job for a fair fee. Highly recommended. P.S. Also, for a small price, Neville tightened the hour hand on a much-prized clock so it once again tells the time!

We found the Bassett Repair Shop while looking through Google for someone to repair our Sage Barista Touch coffee machine after it stopped working. We phoned and dropped the machine off the same day and it was back with us, good as new the next day. In my opinion the price was very cheap for the work done and the work itself, as well as advice on keeping the machine running in the future was second to none. If I could give 6 out of 5 I would!

Took my Sage Barista Touch there Monday, diagnosed and fixed by Wednesday (and serviced). Showed me what went wrong (limescale build up in the heating element) and how to try and prevent it next time as water is hard in Hampshire (more regular descale basically). Neville did a fantastic job fixing my daughter's laptop which had a loose charging port. Bit of a flaw with the build of the machine but Neville was able to do a bespoke repair so we can hopefully get more life out of it as it's not that old.
