Excellent job carried out ……removal of two trees, reduction of height of very tall poplar tree and hedging. The lads turned up on time, worked so hard all day and were polite, kept us informed of what they were doing and checking that we were happy with what they were doing. I wanted a couple of yew trees shaped and reduced in my garden. Dedham Vale Tree Surgeons listened to what I wanted and carried out the work requested. I am very pleased with their work. I was pleased with the professional approach taken in providing a quote and then carrying out the work. I always knew what was going to happen and when. They also had the experience and appropriate insurance cover to carry out a tree survey in our local churchyard.

Absolutely cannot thank Harry (and Sophie) enough for giving up their Sunday plans to come and assist me in my hour of need. The service was very friendly and extremely swift from my first call to arriving on site to help get my stuck cat out of a tree! Harry successfully achieved in under 40mins what i had failed to do in 4hours of trying. Harry and team took down a large and brittle tree for us on 9.1.23 at the front of the house, overhanging power and BT lines. They did a great job, co-ordinating with UKPN to keep disruption to a minimum and cleared away afterwards. Could not recommend them more!
We had 14 conifers, 1 very large pine tree and a large laurel stump to grind out. James removed them all plus some stubborn grasses. He was polite, easy to talk to and dud a brilliant job. He left the garden very tidy when the job was finished..
What a transformation! Apart from the now perfectly formed tree we are unable to tell Harry and the team have been. Its been a tricky job with bad weather, tight access and a tree with a tree protection order on it; but even with its challenges its been a smooth process from start to finish. Did some work on two Himalayan Birch trees this week. Harry, and the guys who came to do the work were very knowledgable about the best treatment for the trees and did a great job, leaving the trees looking wonderful. I would highly recommend.
Excellent service by the team at Dedham Vale Tree Surgery. We had a tree damaged by a storm, with another storm scheduled for the following day. They came out within 4 hours and removed the tree leaving everything neat and tidy. Very impressed, and thank you for such quick prompt service.
Great bunch of guys who were friendly, plenty of common sense, very efficient and very determined! Our soft turf posed a problem for their trucks but they were well prepared. They soldiered on and got the job done :) we were really pleased with their work, and they were happy to leave us (as we had requested) the logs and wood chips for us to use, which they prepared for us. Harry and his team did an excellent job. They were recommended to me by a neighbour and they were fast to respond. Harry came round and gave advice and quoted promptly. He completed all the paperwork to the council regarding preservation orders and gave me a date. He got in touch a few days before to check everything was still good to go and the team arrived early and cracked on. I'm no tree expert but they did everything I asked and our tree looks much better balanced and airy. One other has been cut down and the third pollarded as requested. They didn't rush the work, were polite and tidied up after themselves. Will use them again in due course and would recommend to anyone.

I needed a part dead silver birch removed, someone came round to quote the next day and managed to squeeze me in 3 days later. The tree was removed effortlessly and professionally and all the mess was cleared away, if anyone walked past they wouldn’t know a few hours ago a huge tree was once standing. Can’t recommend enough.

I recently had a very old tree transplanted in my garden. Harry was a pleasure to deal with from the outset, and the job was set up easily. The guys that came to compete the transplant were excellent. They were very professional, curtious and worked their socks off in the pouring rain all day. Harry and his team were a pleasure to have on the land when they got rid of about 100 metres of leylandii and a couple of large trees with a vast array of the latest forestry equipment. They were polite, tidy, efficient and considerate. They started on time and finished on time. Great attention to detail. We were delighted with their work and will miss them and their lovely rescue dog Shelby.
Our oak tree was getting lopsided and shading out the light in our back garden. We love the tree and just wanted to reduce it a little without causing any lasting harm. Harry came and quoted in the Spring, giving us a date and a price. Everything went as planned and our tree is looking much tidier. Just thought I would let you know how pleased we are with the hedgerow cutting your company done 2nd June. It was really tall and overgrown and much thicker than we thought! All was going well until the torrential downpour in the late afternoon. They still carried on working so to get it all one height. It certainly wasn’t easy for them working in such conditions. They cleared the cuttings as best they could and returned to cut the front in the dry. They cleared up again and left the garden completely clean and tidy. They made sure we were completely happy with everything before they left. What an excellent job they done. It is now much shorter and healthier looking. We are really pleased with the standard of work of your company and your professional and friendly staff.

We don't have enough good things to say about Harry and his team. From start to finish we have received the most professional service from the most polite gentleman. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently, and the clean up is amazing, you'd never have known they have been. Harry and his team did a fabulous job pruning our ageing horse chestnut and ash trees. From our initial contact with Harry we were impressed with his knowledge and extremely helpful, friendly, and totally professional manner. Harry advised us how manage and maintain our trees and liaised with the local authority on our behalf to ensure we fully complied with the tree protection order (TPO) rules and planning application. The quality of their workmanship was second to non, very efficient, polite and courteous at all times. They tidied and cleared everything away taking all cuttings etc. with them when they left, you wouldn't have known they had been here. In fact our neighbours commented on what a good job they had done on the trees and how clean and tidy they left everything. As we live in a relatively small village our continuing good relationship with our neighbours is most important. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Harry and his team to anyone considering this work. We will definitely be contacting Harry again next year to carry out our on going tree maintenance.
Came, Saw, Sawed and Fell... The tree was a straggling monster of Eucalyptus in a small garden and we are delighted it is no longer there. We have more sky, more light and all the bark and leaves will no longer litter the lawn. I am delighted to recommend DVTS. The quote was done quickly, the timing was what we wanted, the fellers were professional, polite and good humoured and their work was an art to watch. And - no damage to anything!

Harry and his team did a great job for me on 4/4/16.Very professional,neat and tidy.Careful not to damage nearby shrubs etc.Five trees one very dangerous over hanging my home,i was very worried about this tree in particular.They dealt with it easily.Nothing was too much trouble.Sorted out a couple of last minute additions.Everything chipped and cleared away,they even protected my lawn with canvas sheets. They were very knowledgeable about the trees and made sure to cut them back a healthy amount and at a time of year which caused the least damage to them. Harry came round and gave us a quote to get our hedges back in control and remove some branches from a monster eucalyptus. He is clearly very knowledgeable and great to deal with. Having recently moved into a property with a garden containing very large and sadly neglected trees, which were too close and overhanging the property, we contacted several local tree surgeons.
