I would highly recommend Starks for solar, battery and EV charger installations. It was great working with them early on to develop the specific requirements for my setup, especially getting the Sigenergy stack, storage, EV charger and Aiko panels fully optimised. The entire team, from the knowledgeable office staff to the friendly and helpful installers, were brilliant to deal with. We did hit some unexpected supplier delays, but they handled it professionally and resolved the issues as soon as they were able to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others!
From getting a quote to actual installation of my solar panel array, battery and inverter, Starks Solar have been excellent! Shaun who did the initial survey in person, Dave & Steve in the office, the scaffolders, roofers (Ryan, Toby & Dan) electrician Chris and his apprentice, Harrison were all excellent and I would highly recommend them for a professional, polite, value for money and seamless service!
The real test of a company’s credentials is after sales service. I have now had my solar panels for over a year. The initial implementation went flawlessly. I can't praise Starks Electrical enough and would thoroughly recommend them for your Solar and battery needs. The whole process was easy and worry free. I chose Starks Electrical because they are a local company very close to Ferndown, together with their quick response to my initial enquiry, their social media site reviews and the fact I could design my initial solution using their online website tool that provides a range of products and initial prices. I wanted to have a system that would cover my household electrical needs and have enough spare capacity to power a heat pump at a later date. I arranged a date for a discussion and survey. Sean was very helpful and undertook a detailed survey in a friendly and professional manner. I decided to go with the Aiko panels together with the Sigenergy inverter and battery. Sean provided a detailed proposal and the Agreement was signed in a matter of days. Starks initiated the ONS process in the background and a successful response was received within two weeks. Dave, at Starks, then arranged the dates for the scaffolding, the roofers, the installation of the panels and the Sigenergy capability. Everyone arrived on time and were committed in providing a high quality of professional workmanship and tidiness. My roof was tricky because it has brittle cement, slate like tiles that break easily but the roofing team worked over three days to install the infrastructure to the roof and then install the panels. We originally ordered Solar Skirtk but because of the shape of the roof it couldn't be fitted. Dave proactively discussed the problem with me and we agreed to install bird mesh and Dave offered the refund. Chris and Harrison installed all the electrical components, cables and Sigenergy capability on the first day. After an initial walk through of the Sigenergy App I find it informative and easy to use. I've now had the system running for a few days and am very pleased with my solar and battery system. As yet I haven't had to import any electricity from the grid. The system is doing it's job!

Solar panel and battery installation this week in verwood. Quick and easy process. Took time to tweak design originally based on what we were after. Application all sent off quick once proposal accepted. When this came back we had dates for Install the next week. Smooth operation and the guys cleared up after themselves. Communication has been great. Just waiting on the paperwork post install. Happy with how the system is working for us already in a short space of time. When coming out originally they were the only company to check electrics and roof space, including using a drone to check the installation design and make sure it was as accurate as possible. I highly recommend Starks Electrical! They installed a third string of solar panels onto our flat roof in Fordingbridge. Alongside a home battery and Sigenergy EVDC. We are very happy with the tidy installation and it all works perfectly. A follow up request to add an import limit on the battery system was completed quickly. Professional and friendly team. We have an existing Fox Solar System installed since 2022. I wanted to add the Fox EPS system (allows battery only use during a power-cut). This wasn’t available at the time of my original installation. My original installer was not able to offer this a number of others were not interested. Starks responded immediately to my request for a quotation and have recently completed the installation. They are a delight to deal with, friendly and helpful. The quality of their work is exemplary and I have now transferred the support of my system to them. I would have no hesitation in recommending Starks to anyone interested in Solar energy or for existing Solar users requiring support or upgrades.

We decided to put in a Solar + battery solution in September. We saw three providers and Starks were clearly the best supplier we dealt with. The initial sales visit was professional and informative. We were able to design the system to meet our needs and had the installation a couple of weeks later. All the work was undertaken in a professional manner and after a couple of days we had the system up and running. Very pleased with the ease of working with this company. Starks recently assessed and quoted for solar at our property. We were given different options and the benefits of each system were fully explained. They designed a bespoke system in response to our wish to be as self-sufficient as possible, maximising the space available on our roof. The battery with the system they installed for us can be upgraded if needed, giving us more flexibility in the future. From the first meeting with their surveyor, Paul, we felt confident that they knew what we wanted and that they could provide it. The team were punctual, friendly and efficient and completed the job in the specified time to a high standard, offering ongoing support as and when needed.

We started looking into getting solar panels and a battery system, so we got a few quotes together two from major companies with the bigger companies I was feeling a bit pushed and no reale survey took place so we tried starks solar and electrical, Russell came out asked a few questions done a test on are house fuse etc then he was up in the loft checking it was suitable for the extra weight survey was made on the outside roof checked out our last energy bill And design a system that would suit our needs he gave three choices top of the range middle and economy but me being myself modified the middle range Giving more work , he also fitted timer to our hot water tank so we could use with the battery, a week later the scaffolding was up and the starks team were on site All works completed great fitting team Clean and tidy the wiring looks great The communication with the office staff is fantastic myself and lynne feel safe and happy that we could approach Russell and the team for any more electrical work or solar upgrades in the future . We had a 15 panel system installed by Starks Electrical and we can not speak highly enough of this company. From the very first contact through to the completed installation they have been nothing but professional. They have delivered on every one of their promises, which in this day and age is highly unusual. We would not hesitate in recommending them, if you are considering solar panels we are sure you would, like us, be extremely pleased with the service and end product.
Scot came to see us and we had in mind to install quite a large system but were restricted by the grid to a 3.6 inverter due to being on the end of a single phase line. However the system Starks installed for us is brilliant, 12 panels on the roof and we went for 2x 8kw batteries, I can honestly say that we have barely paid anything for electric since it was installed on 1st May! Brilliant team to deal with, helpful at every stage. the installers were fast, tidy, polite and the workmanship is very good. I have recommended them within our village and to anyone that is prepared to listen to a now self confessed solar bore :-)
After pondering a solar install for a while and dealing with propositions from a number of companies I tried to interpret everything and made telephone calls to attempt to understand their proposals. Purely by chance I came across Starks Electrical on a social site so made contact . Russell prepared a proposal , then followed it up with a site visit and he clearly and happily explained everything without applying any sales pressure. Two or three days later I gladly accepted a very competitive quotation and fixed an install date very soon after. The install was without any problems the team working tirelessly for 2 days this April to complete everything, followed closely by the electrician to commission and fully explain the workings and the use of the app. I am delighted with the system and after 5 weeks the system is now exporting and the bill from the energy provider up to this point has been standing charge only, incredible! I would not hesitate in recommending Russell and his outstanding team, in fact I have 3 times so far, to people close by who have admired our installation.

The whole installation process went according to plan and on schedule. Once finished there was no sign that the workmen had been here, other than the shining black panels on the roof and the futuristic white battery installed round the side of the house. Since then the system has been producing vast amount of electricity, most of which I am selling to the grid. I have reduced my payments to my supplier and I am hoping that my electricity production will subsidise my gas costs too. All-in-all this seems to be a successful financial decision and one which will give me a better return than having my money in the building society. Thank you Starks.
I got 3 quotes for solar pv, and chose starks. I was pleased to use a local company with great reviews, and was not disappointed. The system was put in place very efficiently, and is already , in January, making me 50% self sufficient, as my home is all electric.

Just had 21 panels (split between east and west of my roof) and a large battery fitted by Russell and his team. The plan being to maximise the amount of solar I generate and combine this with a heat pump (being fitted soon by a separate national installer). I got quotes from a number of solar installers before opting for Starks electrical. Whilst their quote was competitive the thing which stood out most with this company was their knowledge and experience in fitting solar and I liked that they were a local company. I was able to make tweaks to my proposed system and get lots of free advice from Russell’s team so by the time the install went ahead I was really confident about my purchase. There was absolutely no ‘hard sell’ and I was given options for various systems at different price points which was great. The installation was very smooth. The team who did the install were great - worked really hard, were polite courteous and really nice guys who had years (decades!) of experience in solar installs. The system is now working great - even in October! I highly recommend this company.

We have a 16th century thatched cottage which was wired about 30 years ago. We developed many faults over the last few years, also failed an electrical certificate which we need for fire insurance. We have used Russell Stark Electrical over last 3 years. They have carried out intensive work in stages, which was new consumer units, Re wiring lounge, armoured core cabling to front gate lights and garage. Electrical test certificate. Changing light fittings. Fault finding. They are highly professional, clean working and efficient at reasonable costs. We cannot recommend them highly enough. This is the second time I have used this company, initially fir an installation. This time An electrical fault was causing sporadic tripping of the MCB. The Spark’s electrician traced the problem down-to sockets in the kitchen. And by meticulously isolating and checking each socket supply found the problem quickly. A “rodent” damaged cable under the fitted kitchen was causing a short. The cable was quickly replaced. Excellent awkward job completed in double quick time. Russell and his team provided an excellent service from initial contact all the way through to completion of the works. The invoice was well within the amount quoted, the work has been completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. I don't think that there is anything in there that they could have improved upon (hence the 5-star rating). For reference, the team came over to undertake the following tasks: Installation of extractor fan, isolator switch and relocation of light-switch in the bathroom. Installation of Electric cooker and associated cabling back to the main circuit-board. Re-connection wiring of the living room lighting to rectify issues created during the decorating process (I had lights in the wall that were removed which messed with the rest of the lighting in the living room).

Hand dryer installation and RCBO change at our industrial unit. There was an old hand dryer and wiring but this had been decommissioned years ago, hence the power had to be re located and upgraded.

I found Starks Electrical through a Facebook ad, I messaged them and they replied straight away. An engineer was sent round a few days later to do an inspection and returned a week later to complete repairs. Responded to a electrical fault at my parents place that was blowing fuses and tripping a switch leaving them in the dark and cold. The fault was found quickly and isolated to regain power and and a further visit arranged to rewire and install outside lights that were the cause of the fault. The work was carried out as arranged and I cannot fault their professionalism in getting the work done. I have no hesitation in recommending Starks Electrical and would certainly use again. A++++
I’ve had Russell and his staff out to me for multiple bits of work and I must say, they are very professional, clean & tidy, helpful but most of all very competitive on pricing and actually gave me advice on what I need and what I don’t unnecessarily need to spend money on. Without previously having any connection with Starks Electrical I selected them because of their well presented web site. I took a chance in confirming my decision in the circumstances that they were unable to quote an end price for the job since the fault required investigation. A fixed price for an inspection was agreed, I was lucky that the remedy was discovered at the examination and was carried out successfully within the first visit. Goodwill and trust was shown by both parties , I would, from my experience, recommend Starks for honesty and efficiency when dealing with breakdown repairs.
Needed a Hob installed very close to Christmas, Starks Electrical fitted us in so a big thank you for that, very professional team, experienced, knowledgeable and courteous, even took their boots off, highly recommend and will be using again.
I contacted Starks on personal recommendation from a friend who had used them and we were very pleased with the outcome.
