Hex installed a GSHP, with about 800m of piping in our field, and a mastertherm setup. I think our project was more complicated than most, with a difficult trench dig, and all the plant going in our basement, which involved some logistical creativity. So not without snags and challenges, but The Hex team were always engaged and worked closely with us, our builders, and internal plumbers to get the job done. A year on, I'm very happy with the delivery, and would happily recommend.

This will be my first ever negative review, but I feel I have to be honest about my experience. I asked this company to investigate why our air source heating system was using such a huge amount of energy. Following the engineer’s visit and changes made to the settings, we were left without heating and hot water and I ended up having to get the system running again myself. The main issue also wasn’t actually identified during the visit. We later had another company attend who found the cause fairly quickly, which turned out to be a control panel setting issue. What disappointed me most wasn’t even the original outcome, because I understand things don’t always go perfectly, but more how the situation was handled afterwards. I tried to resolve things fairly and even offered to meet halfway on the invoice, however this was refused with only a small reduction offered. The company maintains the visit was carried out correctly and covered by their terms and disclaimers, but personally I just don’t feel the overall experience reflected the level of service I expected given the cost involved.

I originally met Hex energy at an energy show at the NEC ( or whatever it’s called these days). The original meeting was an introduction to all of the products and services. We were novices on the heat pump world and absorbed the materials presented on tha day in 2023. We eventually choose HEX to complete our energy needs in 2025 and had a complete install in two segments during the year. Everything promised was delivered, on time I. Budget That’s something I sadly cannot say for many other contractors we have used. Highly recommend Jack and his team.

This company appears unreliable, having been in contact with them on multiple occasions for our ASHP service they either don’t answer the phone or return calls and claim to have made calls to book a service , which in Wholly untrue, can’t be trusted

Hex and their team are brilliant. We’ve had their underfloor system throughout our house for at least 6 years now and cannot complain about the effectiveness of the water underfloor heating from both from a heat and cost to run point of view - especially in an older property. Prices are very competitive and services after installation are as well. We cannot fault the quality of their work, or their professionalism - very kind and helpful team who are eager to respond regarding quotations or any issues/queries we have had.

We have been experiencing issues with our heat pump since it was installed in 2021. After enduring problems with inefficiency and crazy electricity bills, and getting nowhere with the company that installed it, we contacted HEX Energy. They promptly scheduled an appointment, and their engineer, Craig, arrived right on time. He spent over five hours thoroughly inspecting and investigating everything, and the result was impressive—our energy consumption dropped by 28% the very next day. Craig explained everything in a way we could easily understand, and I’m confident that the advice and guidance he provided to improve efficiency will make a big difference. Their communication has been excellent, and we’ll definitely be using HEX Energy for our future servicing needs.

Throughout the entire GSHP installation process, they were incredibly diligent and responsive. They answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly, and their team made sure the project ran smoothly. If you're considering a ground source heat pump, I would recommend HEX energy.

We recently used Hex Energy to service our Airsource heat pump. They company was very friendly and helpful when making the appointment and answering all my questions. The engineer was excellent, very thorough and knowledgeable. We will definitely be using them next year.

Hex installed an Air Source Heat Pump in one of our Community Centres. Their tender was both competitive and thorough with a detailed breakdown of monthly heat & hot water generation, details of ASHP capacity. They pointed out that we may not need the new gas boiler and how they could link the system to our existing. The Joule cylinder recommended is a good cylinder combining thermal storage and hot water generation/storage, helping to protect the building heating from ASHP defrost cycles. They recommended variable speed pumps, reducing ongoing costs. Their tender was a very competitive, high quality response which the Council was more than happy to go with. Hex worked closely with us on the finer detail, including with our architect on the location of the external fans. At installation, we were not disappointed. The onsite team worked with us to avoid disruption to the users of the Community Centre, which included the need to retain hot water for a branch GP Surgery located within the building. Overall we are very happy with the installation, which is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of the building by around 60% and save 40% on our energy bills.

Recently, arrangements were made with Hex Energy U.K., via Stephen Blackhall Head of Services and Maintenance, for them to travel circa 360 miles to service our installed AquaMaster closed ground source heat pumps. 22KWh.x2 Simon and Aaron, Geothermal Engineers attended, were clearly knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. A full documentation form was completed for company and my own records. I’ve never received post-service paperwork/records from other service providers so this was a welcome first! We thoroughly recommend Hex Energy for their competence and Duty of Care, far in excess of our previous experiences with the initial installer. Hex’s service charge was substantially less than the previous installer’s service and very reasonable.

Hex installed our heat pump and underfloor heating system. He’s have serviced the system since installation. Arranging a visit is easy, they are flexible and accommodating our constraints. The engineers are excellent. They are courteous, knowledgeable and really good at what they do. Would highly recommend given we have only had excellent service.

We recently used Hex Energy to have our Air Source Heat Pump serviced. We got a response to our email asking if they could help us very quickly and efficiently. The engineer came on time and spent about 2 hours to check our system. He was very polite, friendly and confident about the work required. We're very satisfied and hope the firm will be able to help us again next year in spite of the distance.

Hex have installed a brand new ground source heat pump and system for me (2022). They have a thoughtful, knowledgeable and consultative approach to design. The installation went very well and zero disruption occurred whilst the installation of the boreholes and heat pump was being undertaken, the heat pump is running smoothly and efficiently. Hex energy are an honourable and trustworthy company that do the right thing and acted implicitly well throughout the entirety of my project. They have been friendly, approachable, and professional thought-out the entire installation and I will be using them to undertake the servicing and maintenance of my heat pump for many years to come.
