Avoid this company – Terrible GBIS installation and zero customer service I had window ventilation installed by Stellar Energy UK Ltd under the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS). The installation is incredibly poor—they ruined every single window they touched in my house. The vents let in severe draughts and external noise even when completely closed, causing our internal home temperature to plummet below 14°C at night. It is not weather-tight. Instead of taking responsibility, the contractor gave false information to E.ON, claiming our windows were just "left open." I have had to film video proof showing the windows locked and vents shut to expose this lie. Furthermore, they pressured a non-technical family member to sign a satisfaction slip immediately upon finishing before these latent defects became apparent, and they have completely ignored our communication for nearly two months. Formal cases are now being escalated to E.ON Next, Utilities ADR, and TrustMark for a breach of the Consumer Rights Act. Avoid this company if you want a warm, safe home.

Great job with loft insulation. However, i’ve been waiting 4 weeks for someone to come out and hook up the extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom. Have called / emailed at least 10 times in the last couple weeks. Poor communication.

The boys did a good job up until the end, the extractor fan cover broke, and they thought it would be a good idea to get the wrong one and silicone it on like as If I would never find out. I would've given 5 stars otherwise. Very disappointing. I would rather them be honest and say it doesnt fit then try and fit it incorrectly making it difficult to access the settings for the extractor fan. Update: they got in touch and rectified the issue. Thanks

Jack and Dan came to my house to install trickle vents and an extractor fan in the bathroom. They were professional and considerate and explained the work being carried out. They answered any questions that I had. I hope the team that complete the insulation install are just like these two. Thank you.

After a survey they offered me a granted insulation but never started the work and after several chasing they said that they are not in rush, in a rude manner To Stellar: you surveyed my home on Nov 19th. I have attached a snapshot of your email after survey as evidence. Your reply to my review shows your mismanagement or maybe just trying to trick the audience

Had several surveys and was promised everything was going through but then told there wasn't enough profit in it for them and they pulled out after months of no contact. Yet another company just in it for the money. Very disappointed.

Amazingly helpful team at Stellar. We have had a complete Eco4 project done and we are thrilled with the workmanship and all the people we have met along the way. Joe in the office is brilliant as is David. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys, we are much warmer this winter.

Stellar recently completed the installation of internal wall insulation, solar panels and an air source heat pump at my property. Every member of the office team I interacted with over the phone was helpful and professional without exception. The teams that visited my property to complete surveys and installation were exceptional - they all worked incredibly hard to ensure the work was completed to a high standard and in the least disruptive manner. Highly recommend. From start to finish Stellar energy were brilliant. Covered all aspects From the first phone call. Came out to my house to see what needed doing. After 3 months had solar panels, air source heat pump and radiators, internal wall insulation (insulation/boarded&skimmed), Loft insulation, all installed. The Grant has made a massive difference to the house and will help save money on my gas & Electric bills. They literally cover everything if your thinking of upgrades on your home get in touch with Stellar Energy.

All in All good experience, the installers were absolutely excellent, clean and tidy. Would like to have had a more detailed handover if I’m being very picky but would definitely recommend people to go ahead with the grant because it’s definitely the way forward, and stellar are a brilliant company to go with.

I own a 300 year old cottage in Cardigan west Wales. I recently took advantage of the government’s ECO4 grant to install solar power and an air source heat pump and central heating system. I had Stellar Energy do the work and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the first visit from their surveyor to the signing off of the finished job I found them courteous,efficient and very approachable. If anything needed explaining they were happy to help. Whenever I had a choice, they helped with simple thorough advice. I recommend Stellar to all my friends and am happy to do so here. They do a great job with minimal fuss and mess and leave with everything clean and tidy and the job well done. I am happy to recommend them to anyone. Brian Wright

Stellar energy were great with all aspects of our air source and insulation, no omplaints the installers were excellent I'm all aspects of the work involved very pleased.

Overall we are happy with the work. We had a load of upheaval and the works took longer than expected. Our house is completely different it’s a warm house with a constant heat. The heating isn’t as expensive as people make out. You need to keep it on. I would recommend this type of heating.

Utter crap company no communication between office staff was told it would only take 4 to 6 day to be completed but took months. Spent 2 weeks sleeping on settees whilst the house was upside down and weeks without heating wouldn't recommend this company. Been back 3 times to rectify work which was unsatisfactory 😡

Amazing work from start to finish. They arrived on time the plumbers, electricians and most of all Robert the Plasterer, who did an outstanding job. Worked non stop, we highly recommend him, he was so polite and trustworthy, and an excellent overall tradesman. All workers 5 stars! We would highly recommend, thank you.

Andrew, the plasterer who did all work to a very high standard in a reasonable time scale. Clean worker & explained everything he was doing each day.

While all the customer service staff at Stellar sound friendly and helpful and a survey of our property was swiftly carried out on 15 May we have to date had absolutely no further communication or update from them, despite several calls from us requesting it. In reply to your response 2 days ago i reiterate that between the date of the survey and my review i had received no response to my calls to you by phone or email and have had no missed calls either. You are implying i am not telling the truth which is simply not the case and which i find upsetting. I contacted you one more time since doing this review after which i did get a call back and then a call from Michelle, one of your surveyors, to arrange to come to our property again, which she duly did on Sunday 7 July. I remain unsure when/if we will hear further from you following her visit.

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES - SCAM- AVOID. The experience I have had with this company is beyond words, they are a complete shambles , a disgrace and have scammed me into thinking I had been approved for Ecxo flex funding for the past 9 months, it is literally disgusting they way that they have mistreated me. they have strung me along with complete deceit and lies since October 2023. November - Booked Survey , nobody showed up , no email call nothing. January – rescheduled survey, received a call from Ashley after advising new boiler and loft & wall insulation will be installed in 2 weeks. Weeks go by not heard anything chased up, alarmingly I was advised im not entitled to anything and survey was wrong. Then I was promised a free boiler due to the errors provided but advised to remove the bad review, which i did. Few weeks later I chased Ashley but again ignored, I spoke to Simon the director he told me yet again I had been misinformed and I’m not having a free boiler and I had to wait for funding. April 30th - Simon text me " Great News and that they have received funding, May chased again to be told still waiting, I therefore spoke to RCT council and was advised there is no such application and they are not improved installers of this scheme. I confronted simon and he said he would use a 3rd party for funding instead. Absolute joke. June boiler has broken down i have no hot water , they offered to repair until funding received, 4 appointments later still not working, faulty parts, wrong parts, etc and awaiting new parts. 28th June spoke to RCT council again, and yet AGAIN shockingly advised no application has been received by Stellar or a third party absolutely disgusting behaviour. Many messages have been sent to Simon, I've explained I have 2 young girls here with no hot water, all ignored now blocked. RCT advised to go to Ofgem, Ombudsmen, I will also seek legal advice for distress and inconvenience to myself and my children. Thank god it Is not winter we would all have pneumonia. I advise anyone thinking of using this company to use other alternatives, I have been truly let down and feel like I have been totally scammed. The whole experience has been extremely stressful for myself and my children, This is just pure greed, rather than lose a sale they would chance being approved with RCT council, or use someone else rather than me find locally which no doubt would have been completed by now. I since have had to move out of the property until something is sorted , I am outraged to say the least. BEWARE DESPICABLE COMPANY !!!

Simon and the team are just fantastic, they recently fitted free, yes all the works were free. solar panels, air source heat pump, internal wall insulation and loft insulation in my parents home. From start to finish they were so professional, answered all our questions, the works were carried out to such a high standard. The workmen were so clean and tidy and explained everything to my elderly parents. Would definitely recommend them to other people wanting these works done. Great job and the money my parents are saving already is brilliant. Well done and Thank you do much.

Contacted stellar energy the end of last year regarding eco grants due to my bills being high, one of their agents conacted me within the week, asked a few questions about the property that my partner helped me answer and arranged a survey. We had our loft done, our walls and solar panels done all within the month. Best part about it was that we didnt have to pay a penny and our house is already warmer! Thanks so much for all that helped us <3

Contacted Stellar energy through their website 2 months ago. Had surveyor Harry come to property very professional and easy going. Instillation for my solar panels, insulation and heating were all completed within the month of my survey. Very professional service from start to finish!

Good customer service over the phone this morning. Spoke to Amy and Ryan. They were efficient and friendly and considered my appointment time window preference. Very professional visit from EPC inspector (Martin). Would recommend this company as I have had successful loft insulation, cavity wall and extractors installed due to the green energy grant funding that was available which has proven to improve the energy efficiency of my home. I appreciate it must be challenging for Stella contractors/inspectors to travel from wales to different areas and coordinate appointments. It’s not always been the easiest to manage this but they put in a lot of effort and do their best to work timings/days out with you and follow up for getting EPC done. Thank you

Shocking company,shocking standard of work..customer service,there isn't any... The standard of work they did on my property was that bad its been reported to trading standards..steer well clear people..

Terrible company. Cold calls you. Tells you are eligible. Spent a full day taking pictures and measurements. Only to be given pathetic excuses after chasing up Total wast of time. These eco grants are 100% scams.dont give them your time
