Ronax installed solar, battery and a second AC unit at my house, and the whole experience was great from start to finish. They surveyed the property properly before quoting, communicated clearly throughout. The install itself was tidy and professional, and made small tweaks based on their experience. Since then, the system has run exactly as expected. Really impressed.

We had a Tesla Powerwall 3 installation, with two additional battery packs, bringing our total storage to 40.5 kWh. This might seem a lot, but we run ceiling-mounted electric infrared panels for heating in winter, wanting the simplicity of these and no ongoing service costs over a heat pump set-up, and having completely removed gas from the house. The downside of the infrared panels is they can bump up heating costs in winter, so we wanted to offset those costs by benefitting from electricity stored on the overnight tariff. Having such capacity also opens up the possibility of buying electricity cheaply overnight and selling it back to the grid at times of high demand - effectively micro-storage for the Grid and offsetting the purchase cost for us. From the initial contact, Tim and Julianne were helpful. We discussed the set-up and Tim was able to discuss the pros and cons of different options from potential alternatives, but we were set on a Tesla Powerwall 3 with two additional expansion battery packs (total 40.5 kWh), so went that route. The team showed up on time, with the Powerwall 3 installation equipment arriving just before they did. They were relaxed and reassuring. Tim oversaw the work which was completed by a couple of Tesla-certified installers, as is required to qualify for the warranty. They installed the system over two very hot days and were able to work around and incorporate our existing solar PV system to ensure that both the MyEnergi ecosystem and Tesla Powerwall 3 worked together. We just plied them with drinks to keep them hydrated. Our system was no doubt slightly different from most people's, as we have an existing solar PV set-up we have had since 2012 and we weren't looking at connecting our existing panels to the Tesla Powerwall 3's inverter, but needed the Powerwall 3 to be aware of the solar generation from our existing set-up, as well as our existing MyEnergi set-up, incorporating a Zappi EV charger and an Eddi. This made things slightly more complex than it would otherwise have been, had we been installing everything from scratch, but the team managed ultimately to make everything work together. Following the physical installation, Julianne was very helpful in dealing with our G99 application, to set up grid export permission and we also benefitted from a cashback offer from Tesla for installing when we did. Again, Julianne assisted with that. We've had the system set up for a couple of months now and we are very pleased with the results so far. We'd be more than happy to use Ronax in future.

We have trusted the services provided by the team at Ronax a number of times including a turn key rear extension and garage conversion with complimentary plumbing, electrical work, boiler upgrade and air conditioning. It is not easy to find responsible and reliable trade professionals who understand the importance of detail and customer service. We live in Solihull and would not hesitate to recommend the professional services provided by Tim and colleagues. Happy to also provide pictures of work done.
