Great experience here yesterday. Lost my car keys whilst disposing of various bits of rubbish, but didn't realise until I came to get back in my car. Asked for help and Steve was brilliant in helping me retrace my steps and spotting my keys in the metal bin. He was able to hook them out and return them to me. Thank you, Steve and all the guys who I've always found very friendly and helpful.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Eastleigh Recycling Centre. This used to be a genuinely good place — staff were friendly, helpful, and it was always a pleasant experience to visit. Unfortunately, since a new staff member has been placed at the gate, everything has changed. He is consistently unhappy and overly strict, with no flexibility or understanding. On my last visit, I explained the genuine reason why I was one hour late for my booking, but there was no willingness to listen or show any understanding at all. His attitude is always grumpy and unapproachable, and he never smiles or makes people feel welcome. It completely ruins what used to be a positive environment. Recycling centres should encourage the public to do the right thing, not make them feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Hopefully this staff member is still on probation and management will seriously review whether he is suitable for a customer-facing role. It’s a real shame — this was once the best recycling centre in Hampshire. Sadly, that’s no longer the case.
Very accommodating staff who are always helpful and nice, even when the weather is awful they are still there to help. Easy drop off, really well organised compared to others and fast. Thank you guys for making the whole ordeal of clearing crap out so much easier, much appreciated.

Easy to get to. Very friendly staff. Book your slot, follow the rules and you can get rid of all your household waste. During the day there is a small shop open with some "treasures" that you can buy for pennies.
Queues aren't too bad, staff are mostly helpful, although some can be a bit grumpy.
I highly recommend Eastleigh tip! It is run in a very friendly efficient manner and nothing is too much trouble. Best tip in Hampshire by far.
I went to my local tip and I get questioned as I go in about the origin of where the rubbish has come from omg if the council don't want people to fly tip stop asking all these questions harassing people and open the tips without having to book if the councils make it easier for people to take there rubbish then there be less fly tipping I visited fair oak tip today and they were very helpful unlike eastleigh tip where I feel uneasy and harassed by the staff they are paranoid about putting the right waste in the correct bin
Of all the recycle centres in the Southampton/Eastleigh area, this for me, is the best one. Not the closest or most convenient for me, but the best. You do need an appointment, so go to the website to get one. Its all very well organised and someone will be at a swing bargate to let you in with your vehicle. If they're not too busy they're super quick and helpful too.

Excellent service. Easy to book a time slot online. You receive email reminders about your appointment time. The staff at the plant tell you which bin to go to. Very well organized👍👍😊
Only used twice, won't use again, (romsey is much better) had to book, but no booking system in place just drive in whenever as staff to busy rummaging through all the stuff. Then being told I have to clean up the little bit of dirt that came out of my boot as it's my job and not there's, then trying to getting funny with me, ask nicely I would of done it, just cause I'm younger than you, you can't bully me in doing what you should be doing. Staff are pointless, don't like your job then get another....

Jamie is a truly amazing individual at this place. I was impressed with how his attitude shone through. He didn't let one person struggle and was pure class in helping us offload our stuff. The rest of the staff are great also and there is a huge pride in this site from the staff. We'll done all!
I've always noticed the good organisation and helpful staff and today it all came together. I lost my house keys and after driving back to the center in a panic I was greeted with a smile and a small envelope with them in. I'm truly grateful.
I had a great experience at the eastleigh refuse center. I had a load of awkward size things in my car and a very helpful worker called Mike got a trolley and emptied my car for me. Thank you so much . Great service . Well done.
I remember the old eastleigh site opposite Matalan where you might have to queue for 30 mins on a bad day. This one is a HUGE improvement and I love going. Prefer the booking system even though the online process takes me round in circles (is this just me?) but means when you get there you're in and out in no time. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful, there are one or two grumpy jobsworths. Love looking round the shop and it would be nice if these items could raise money for charity.

Staff were very helpful. I had a lot of rubble from our bathroom refit, including the suite, and they helped unload it.
Very handy or the areas residents, still have the restriction of appointments and one visit a week, not really what you need if your having a clear out unless you have a trailer. Would be better if it was one visit a day. ( Subject to availability)
Register your car on HCC recycle site then book your site and time. Vans trailers etc read the rules. Sites clean and free from dangers to your tyres! You CANNOT VISIT without booking. And registering. ANPR and we'll monitored. But great site, no queues due to appointment system. 30 min arrival window. Don't be late!
Made me appreciate the coucil. We forgot to put out the waste on time and missed our time slot. Phoned up. They arranged another pick up on the same day. Fantastic.
Really good recycling centre other than getting access. Booking system is a joke even now you can book on the day. Booking system need to be dropped to help local residents get rid of house hold waste. Staff all sat in cabin, as have nothing to do.
No problem, well run and staff are helpful. Only pains are: having to book and the fact you have to pay to dispose of........ Rubble soil plasterboard etc. But don't blame the staff, it seems to be hcc who do all they can to encourage flytippers
I like the booking system as the centre can be very busy at times. With a booking you straight in and out.
Quick and easy access There are no steps to climb so getting to the bins is easy, they are well marked and marshalled, staff are helpful and respectful, I like a trip to the tip

Since moving over to a booking system I have found every trip I'm in and out before my appointment time where as prior to bookings the traffic can be queued for quite some distance onto the main road causing all kinda of traffic related issues

Arrived in the pouring rain and wind to a very friendly greeting from Jamie who then helped us unload the car. The site is also very clean and well maintained.
If ore Google, they don't take glass anymore and haven't for about 6 months. Otherwise, it's a waste recycling centre, it's pretty self-explanatory.
Clean, tidy and well run, with an outstanding recycling rate. Some staff are more helpful than others but the biggest issue for me was a lack of forewarning that any cardboard item taller than a child's shoebox won't fit through the slots in the railings. So, if you're transporting your rubbish in a large cardboard box that you'll dispose of afterwards, remember to bring a box cutter.
Only 2 other cars when we arrived for our slot! What is the need to make a booking when the place is empty. The council are having a laugh. Also be warned they do not take glass so I had to go to a bottle bank after. Very disappointed

Although there is a booking system, and showing no time available for the morning, it was completely empty. I think it is the time to remove the booking system. It is stressful to get there ontime. The 5 star is for people at the centre, not the booking system 🤔 This is an update for another visit, still empty, why we dont use full capacity of our town facilities!! It encourages fly tipping!
The centre was so well laid out and easy to use, the Staff so friendly and helpful, especially Bill who welcomed me and the very mixed variety of waste I had brought.
Always helpful, always space. Even when it's busy it doesn't overly seem it. Plenty of parking and rarely any bins out of use. What more can you say, the place is complete rubbish!!!

I had a tumble dryer and fridge freezer to dump and one of employees was very helpful. He'd asked if someone had offered help and I'd said no. He was straight onto it, removing the items out of my trailer. This gentleman is always friendly and helpful.
Relatively clean, well organised, staff are friendly and helpful. I much prefer this centre to the one in Millbrook, and come here even though I live in central Southampton. No height restrictions is a big bonus.

Absolutely amazingly well organized tip and phone booking prevents over crowding. Arriving with a car load of rubble I was treated quickly and courteously by their amazing crew.A huge well done.

Well it's a recycling centre, so not much one can say really, but its well laid out, staff are normally helpful, though none in evidence today. Covid-19 restrictions worked well, though I suspect I have the heavy rain to thank for a short queue of only two vehicles.
Review based on visit during Covid-19. One of the larger recycling centres in the area. Site was clean and organised. Single file queue system works well. More convenient location than some other recycling centres. Safe distancing kept by eliminating every other bay.

Ok so it’s the first to open since the lockdown started... tho the Que to the tip is Unbelievable long.. and dear I say Dangerous as the que is back beyond the roundabout on the main road so you got Traffic coming from all Directions and blocking the road ... ( how is any emergency service is going to get past that ??? ) shame on Hants Council for this poor set up !! After all they had 6wks to sort out a plan !!! At best they should enforcer a even/uneven number palate System
This is now going to be my new tip to go to. Even if it’s further than my local one the place is so clean and spacious. The staff can’t be any more helpful polite always busy but still time to help you. There’s a area where you can buy some second hand furniture and items for a great price. The pretty young girl that works there is a credit to the tip. She was very friendly and has a great welcoming relationship with the visitors. Well worth a visit again even if I don’t have rubbish to dump.

This is a good recycling centre but would appreciate it if the opening hours were up-to-date as I've just driven over on the basis of your advertised closing time of 6pm and you've changed today to close at 4pm

Easy access, clear of debris, and well presented. Short queues at busy times. Staff are helpful. It is efficient to use with clear signage. I live locally and will drop off small amounts rather than let it build up as it is never a chore to use.
My husband uses this centre a lot, and he finds it very easy to use, with plenty of parking, good access to the bins and, best of all, extremely helpful and friendly staff. We are lucky to have such an excellent facility!

Used the new Recycling Center Stoney Croft Rise today for the first time only one word excellent easy to park and unload, staff very helpful used to go to Fair Oak nightmare up and down slippery metal steps.A lot of thought went in to planning this site full marks right up to date a real pleasure look forward to my next visit regards Alan Taylor.
What an improvement over the old "tip"! On a par with Port Solent now, and much better than Winchester.
Very easy to navigate and the blokes down there are very friendly and extremely helpful.
Excellent facility with ample parking and access, helpful staff make recycling here easy and quick; a big improvement on the old centre.
