Did not do job properly which has left us a four figure repair bill. Did not provide a quote when asked to sort out their mistake. Context in 2019 they warm roofed our flat roof. In 2024 we had a leak, which i thought I had repaired. However in 2025 leak returned. Verious roofers told us the felt was not reinforced or flashed where the upstand meets the flat roof resulting in an expansion crack in the felt that has grown bigger over the year. Water has penetrated meaning the board underneath is soft and needs to be replaced. So the whole 25m2 flat roof has to be replaced. Second issue the under tile felt on the hip roof should have been brought over the felt on the upstand. This was not done. I believe this is not in accordance with building regulations so I do not understand why they did not do this so now the quality of the rest of their work is in question, particularly as they have not provided a price to repair despite offering a 25 year guarantee when they did the work in 2019 In response to your reply: You did come out before Christmas to look at the roof although you did not mention the split in the felt. You did mention the warranty however when i called you to chase up after your visit you mentioned a price, which may have been for some additional work to the pitched roof. I have not had any emails or call from you since to clarify. As I am not a roofer I initially thought the leak was due to pointing failure, as the split in the felt was not noticeable in 2024, it is now. If you want to honour your warranty email me.

I deliberately waited before writing this review; after all, do you really want to hear about how a roof has performed when its only been up for five minutes?! Poole Roofing replaced the flat roof on my detached single garage in December 2023 (This review is written September 2025). Since then, it has been exposed to the full seasonal scope of UK weather, and has had plenty of opportunity to leak, and for any flaws to become evident. It hasn't leaked at all and the materials used (including the seams) haven't failed in any way. In addition to the roof, the facia and guttering still looks as good as the day it was fitted. The two-man team arrived promptly (despite a worrying amount of cloud, if I recall). They worked cleanly, efficiently, and completed the job within their estimated timescale. Of course I peeped now and again as they worked, and their approach served only to give me even more confidence in the end result. They took away ALL the waste they'd generated from the site AND cleaned up completely before they left. The final price paid was the price quoted in the first place. I specifically DIDN'T opt for the least expensive construction or quote from the companies I approached. I LISTENED to Poole Roofing's supported recommendations, and I still have the samples of each of the three layers they recommended be used to give a 9mm thickness. It didn't break the bank, but I also don't expect to be undertaking this task again. I would be very surprised if it doesn't outlive the 25 year guarantee that the work and materials come with. I confidently recommend Poole Roofing based on my experience of their workmanship, and the quality of the materials they use.
