We needed a new boiler to replace a cheap inefficient model that was in our house when we moved in just over a year ago. After reading the reviews on 'WHICH?' we decided to go for a Worcester Bosch model that has a 12 year guarantee. We chose Beckett's Plumbing & Heating as they are recognised fitters for this brand. Sam came and guided us through what would be best for our needs. He was very knowledgeable and clearly explained what they would do and gave us a good price which included a central heating system power flush before the work started. Sam and his helper Dan arrived at 7.30 am and were finished and all tidied up by 4pm including having to take up some floor boards in the house to install a larger diameter gas pipe! Overall they were very professional and we were very impressed with the workmanship We thoroughly recommend this firm and so easy to deal with too.

I found Sam and Becketts plumbing and heating by chance on Facebook. A simple whats app message and instant reply started our journey. We just had Sam and his team from Becketts Plumbing & Heating install a Bosch air conditioning system in our home and couldn’t be happier with the result. Sam and his team installed a multi-split system serving two bedrooms, along with a separate single-split unit for our kitchen/living area. We had Becketts out to rearrange a gas feed during our kitchen renovation. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time and carried out the work without any fuss, very impressed with the speed of installation and neatness of the work. There was an issue with our gas feed regulator which Sam identified and got the gas board out to fix the same day, from start to finish the whole experience was seamless and I will definitely be using him for any other works we need in future.

Ordered replacement boiler through Worcester Bosch £3300. Beckett’s quoted £250 extra if thicker gas pipe needed, 4 feet long. Boiler fitted in just under 4 hours. Only 2 radiators working until bled and repressurised myself. Called back for small drip below boiler which started immediately after install, Beckett’s advised unrelated, quoted 1 hour labour to fix.

Sam had recently carried out an installation of a new boiler. He gave us a choice by recommending we either go with a Worcester Bosch or a Viessmann, we decided to go with the Viessmann for the stainless steel heat exchanger and the longer 12 year warranty and it came in at over £300 cheaper! Sam’s communication, workmanship and attention to detail were excellent. He kept us well informed and arrived exactly when he said he would. Carried out a full flush of the heating system to ensure the new boiler would be as efficient and long lasting as possible. Honestly cannot recommend Sam any more highly and look forward to seeing him when he carries out the first boiler service.
